There is no concrete theme with this team. Basically, I went with the idea that I personally enjoy these pokemon and will not change the basic format of the team at all.
Machamp (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dynamicpunch
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch
- Stone Edge
I opted to scarf and go with jolly because he can get up to about 340 speed and outrun garchomps. I did the damage calculations and he can OHKO with ice punch both salamence and garchomp with ice punch. I am not sure how he will fare with breaking walls. Dynamic punch and no guard are excellent, as well as the assurance of everything hitting through sand veils.
---
Weezing (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Sludge Bomb
- Will-o-wisp
- Pain Split
- Haze
It's pretty much the standard set, a good physical wall that can switch into earthquakes easily. Not much to be said. ---
Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP/6 Def/252 SDef
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Payback
- Wish
- Toxic
- Protect
I opted for relaxed because of how this helps safely wish passing and the assurance that payback will hit second and double. Nature also helps him function as a double wall. Toxic stalling is also an option on this set and helps force switches.
---
Ursaring (M) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 4 Def/252 Atk/252 HP
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Facade
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Crunch
This is my favorite pokemon in the game. Ursaring is perhaps the greatest thing to happen to pokemon. He has immense attack and with guts and facade he is simply amazing. Crunch is for ghost coverage. I realized that even with quick feet and max EV's Ursa isn't going to be outrunning much, so I decided to up his HP to make him a little sturdy if he's going to move second anyway.
---
Alakazam (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Trick
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Grass Knot
Standard trickspecs. I went for modest over timid because it's not like much can handle alakazam's speed.
---
Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 148 HP/228 Def/134 SAtk
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Recover
- Surf
- Ice Beam
This is a problem and I need a different wall that is probably more of a physical wall instead because of diamond and pearl's physically geared gameplay. Here is is the standard and very functional sleep inducing bulky water.
---
That's all for my team. It would be nice to get any suggestions as to a different pokemon for milotic for physical coverage, maybe allowing umbreon to be a straight special wall and have a different pokemon serve as a mix wall. Though, I do like umbreon as a mix wall because it allows him to take at least a few hits from both physical and special moves while he is wish passing or toxic stalling.
