Alright, so I figured I would post my team here to allow you all to rate it and offer feedback. I try to make my teams as balanced as possible, but I don't always succeed. XD
Anyways, here goes!
Greninja
@ Focus Sash
-Nature: Jolly
-Ability: Torrent
-EVs: 252 Attack/252 Speed/4 Sp. Def
-Moves:
-Spikes
-Taunt
-Toxic Spikes
-U-Turn
So, the idea behind this setup should be pretty obvious. Greninja comes in and either sets up hazards, or Taunts anything that might threaten to set up. The only reason that I use Torrent over Protean is that I derped and didn't check the ability before dumping EVs into it(no, I didn't have a way to reset the EV). On top of that, it was already a giant pain to breed Toxic Spikes onto Greninja, so I didn't want to remake it. It's been working rather well; its performance depends highly on what I do with it when I lead off.
Lucario
@ Life Orb
-Nature: Timid
-Ability: Steadfast
-EVs: 252 Sp. Atk/252 Speed/4 HP
-Moves:
-Aura Sphere
-Dark Pulse
-Nasty Plot
-Dragon Pulse
I really wish Lucario got Mega Launcher as an ability. That aside, this is exactly what it appears to be: a Nasty Plot Life Orb Sweeper Lucario. If there would be anything I would change on this guy, it would be to change Steadfast to Inner Focus to nerf Air Slash and Dark Pulse. However, in my testing, I haven't been crippled by the lack of it, and the Speed Boost only helps Lucario to sweep. After 1 Nasty Plot, my Lucario has been capable of OHKOing pretty much everything after Stealth Rocks, due to his wide coverage. Sometimes I will opt to use Lucarionite on this guy, but he's proven more than capable without it.
Tyranitar
@ Chople Berry
-Nature: Careful
-Ability: Sand Stream
-EVs: 252 Sp. Def/252 HP/4 Attack
-Moves:
-Stone Edge
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Stealth Rock
My Tyranitar's main purpose in life(and in battle) is to set up Rocks and induce Sandstorm to help increase the residual damage being dealt to the opposing Pokemon. However, she is more than capable of putting damage on the board outside of setting up Rocks. Stone Edge and Crunch give her double STAB coverage, while Pursuit allows her to hit Pokemon that she forces a switch on. The Chople Berry enables her to tank a Close Combat or High Jump Kick, which would otherwise OHKO her.
Blastoise
@ Blastoisinite
-Nature: Modest
-Ability: Torrent/Mega Launcher(ME)
-EVs: 252 Sp. Atk/252 HP/4 Sp. Def
-Moves:
-Scald
-Rapid Spin
-Aura Sphere
-Dark Pulse
The Mega Evolution of my team, Blastoise puts in work as a Special Tank and Rapid Spinner. After Mega Evolving, his purpose is to clear the way for the sweepers on my team by removing hazards and blasting(pardon the pun) holes in the opponent's team via his 135 base Special Attack, Mega Launcher, and solid coverage. The only issue I have with him is that he hates Toxic Spikes, which is ironic, as he is the only answer I have to them on my team. I have considered making something else the team Spinner, but even after taking a Toxic Spikes to the face, he has proven himself capable to remove said hazards and take down at least one Pokemon.
Haxorus
@ Lum Berry
-Nature: Jolly
-Ability: Mold Breaker
-EVs: 252 Attack/252 Speed/4 Def
-Moves:
-Poison Jab
-Outrage
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
Haxorus covers the physical end of the sweeping for my team. After one Dragon Dance, Max Speed IV, and full EV investment, Haxorus outspeeds unboosted base 130s and can even hit Fairies that dare to switch in on him for massive damage. +1 Earthquake also OHKOs Tyranitar and Metagross after Rocks, and Outrage destroys Dragonite(post-Multiscale), Garchomp, and other Dragons that roam around OU. The Lum Berry serves multiple purposes for Haxorus. At the very least, Lum Berry allows Haxorus to continue sweeping after an Outrage. At the very most, the berry allows Hax to switch into a status changer and punish the user.
Aegislash
@ Leftovers
-Nature: Adamant
-Ability: Stance Change
-EVs: 252 Attack/252 HP/4 Def
-Moves:
-King's(Queen's, since it's a female XD) Shield
-Swords Dance
-Sacred Sword
-Shadow Sneak
Not a lot needs to be said about this here Aegislash. She's as standard as standard sets for the Pokemon get, with the exception of using Adamant over Brave. This will render her faster than other Aegislash running Brave, so I'm planning on remaking her at some point in the future.
I'm sorry if this is a little lacking in detail; I tried to add in as much as I could. If you guys could provide any feedback on how I can improve this team, that'd be great. Thanks again!
