Gen 3 Rate my team please

The other day I decided to build an all-out offensive team. Any advice on how to improve it would be appreciated.

Rhydon@leftovers
-rock slide
-earthquake
-substitute
-roar

I think I might use this guy as my starter as I don't see people lead water or grass pokemon very often these days. If he gets a good matchup in the beginning he can hit very hard or sub up if I know a switch is coming, ensuring that the free hit isn't a wasted by earthquaking a flying type or something. Rs/eq cover types very well so I threw roar in there as a final move, rhydon has enough defense to make psuedo-hazing a possiblily.

Snorlax@leftovers
-return
-earthquake
-curse
-rest

Standard curselax, hits very hard and is difficult to deal with. I don't think this guy needs much explanation.

Tyranitar@leftovers
-crunch
-earthquake
-rock slide
-fireblast

Pretty standard tyranitar set. Fireblast helps my team power past skarm and the usual physical walls while rs/eq hit hard pretty much everything else. Crunch might not be needed but I couldn't think of anything I would rather have in that slot, any suggestions on a better fourth move would be helpful.

Heracross@focus band
-earthquake
-megahorn
-endure
-reversal

My team's final physical attacker. Megahorn helps kill exeggutor and umbreon while earthquake is just a solid attack. The endure/reversal combo is risky but can easily sweep a weakened team later in the game and helps kill opposing snorlaxes and other problem pokemon. The fact that several of the faster pokemon that would normally cause problems for a 1 hp heracross tend to be electric types like zapdos who get walled by rhydon helps as well.

Starmie@leftovers
-surf
-psychic
-thunderbolt
-recover

Fairly standard attacking starmie. Psychic helps my team deal with machamp while surf/tbolt hit almost everything else.

Gengar@leftovers
-thunderbolt
-fire punch
-giga drain/ice punch/psychic/counter/hypnosis
-explosion

The second portion of my special-attacking package. Thunderbolt covers water pokemon who threaten rhydon or tyranitar while fire punch decimates steels. I'm having difficulty picking a third attacking-move for this guy. Psychic allows gengar to switch into the fighting types that threaten half of my team while giga drain or ice punch kill opposing rock/grounds. I also considered counter and hypnosis but unless someone has a really good reason why I should run them I would prefer a third attacking move. Any input as to what makes the best third attack would be appreciated.

So that's what I've come up with, advice or comments would be useful and welcome.

I'll probably rate this later, but if you're going to use Heracross with Reversal, you'll probably want Rapid Spin and probably a Heal Beller too. You already have Starmie, so Rapid Spin wouldn't be a problem there. If you find yourself cramped for a Heal Beller, I would suggest putting a Miracleberry on Heracross instead of the Focus Band.

Tyranitar can have Pursuit to get Gengar out of the way, who resists Heracross.

I think I would put Counter or Curse over Substitute on Rhydon.

Gengar doesn't really resist Heracros (EQ).
Thunderbolt on TTar might be useful against Suicune or something. Ice Beam can be also used against Dragonite (lol), the almighty Gligar or to hit Grass-Types with sure accuracy. Surf can be used against Rhydon or even Steelix, but it doesn't have any other usefulness.

TTar should not be staying in against Suicune, so no T-bolt. Ice-beam would probably be useful against grassers, and it hits dragons and fliers. I would advise using that because you already have EQ for steels, so F-blast is not doing much.

well, it's not just for suicune (which he wouldn't be staying in against anyway, it'd be for SWITCH-INS) but for Skarmory as well. And Rock Slide is just as useful against Dragons (see: Dragonite, flying) and Flying Pokemon. You need to consolidate Tyranitar. Ice Beam is sort of redundant since Tyranitar covers most things Ice Beam would be used for with Rock Slide/Crunch. After Rock Slide/Crunch, most people vary on what to use. Thunderbolt and Fire Blast are both good options, because it works off a 288 special attack. Just because the pokemon is weak to something it's trying to cover on a switch-in doesn't mean he shouldn't. If your opponent tries repeatedly to switch Suicune into Tyranitar, those Thunderbolts will wear him down over time.

I put fireblast on ttar because my team has 4 physical attackers and wants to kill skarm asap. The only thing tbolt is really good for would be suicune, who isn't as much of a threat as skarm for this team. Rockslide hits waters pretty well and the raw damage on fireblast brings skarmory down quickly. As for the rhydon comment I really like substitute because it ensures that he gets at least one solid hit in when he switches in on zapdos or something.
