SM UU Rate my Team please

Hey Guys, so I am new to UU and I tried making a Team around a sweeping Empoleon, cause it's my favorite Pokemon and I like running that gimmicky set.

So the team consists of:

Empoleon @ Betaya Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs. 252 SpA / 4SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Agility
- Substitute
- Surf
- Ice Beam

Empoleon is a Sweeper that can setup in early to lategadme which can do so much damage with it's torrent booster Surf on +1 SpA. With Surf and Ice beam he can hit almost anything and he can even bulky Water Types with Surf really hard.

Muk-Alola @ Assault Vest
Ability: Poison Touch
EVs. 252 HP / 96 Atk / 160 SpD
Careful Nature
- Fire Blase
- Gunk Shot
- Knock Off
- Shadow Sneak

Muk is my Special Wall. He can tank literally anything, up to Z-Moves. His Stab Knock Off deals really much Damage to all Choice- Item Users and he can easily Knock other Wall's Leftovers off. Fire Blast is to cover against Mons like Scizor who like to setup on Muk ( its not a one-hit but it still leaves a huge dench in the enemy team).

Rotom- Heat @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
- Overheat

Rotom is a great leader. With its Ground immunity its greatly paired with muk and Empoleon and often gets a free switch in on EQ/ Earth Power. Also, with its scarf Trick it can cripple enemy Staller or setupper. (e.g. Suicune in his rest talk)

Gligar @ Eviolite
Ability: Immunity
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Atk / 92 Def
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Roost

Gligar is mainly a Rock setter, but due to it's high attack investment, his EQ can hit enemys really hard. He can wall Pokemon like Mega- Beedrill, Bisharp and Krookodile. Knock Off might be traded for Defog, but then i would lower his Attack investment, i am not sure if he's worht keeping in the Team.

Altaria @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure / Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Roost
- Heal bell
- Bodyslam
- Defog

Altaria is the Cleric of this Team, removing Muk's Burn ( which he often gets by Scald), removing entry Hazards with Defog and Crippling enemys with Bodyslam. Its a great Physical wall and Draco/ outrage blocker with paralysing chance.

Zygarde-10% @ Choice- Band
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Thousand Arrows
- Outrage
- Toxic

Its just a Choice Band user who can clean up most Pokemon after they've taken a bit Chip Damage. Also, zygarde is my Check for Rotom's/ Alolan-Muk/Nidoking etc. Even if he doesnt Kill Something, he will do enough damage so Empoleon can clean up later, of the other way around.

All in all i am liking this Team pretty Much, but on the other side i think i am lacking in offensive Power. I think Gligar isnt fitting well into the Team and that i need another Band user /physical damage dealer that Zygarde. I Also think that i might be running an Adamant Nature with full attack investment on Muk, but i am still unsure about it, because as i tested it out, he didnt tank anything at all.

I hope to get some feedback and help with this team. Also, sorry for some minor spelling mistakes, it's not my native language :)

Hey Kashiwa this is a very interesting team you have here around offensive Empoleon. This set has fallen out of favour this generation thanks to the utility it provides virtue to its typing and access to Defog + Stealth Rock. I like the approach you took to try support Empoleon via a BO approach. I think you have the structure of the team down pretty well, but there are a lot of odd sets on this team which hold it back a lot.

Major Changes:

718-10.png
: Zygarde seemed like it was thrown on for the sake of having a hard hitter. Terrakion fits nicely in this slot because it pressures a lot of the flying types in the tier which takes pressure off Empoleon, which would fulfill this role if it were bulky. It also pressures opposing Empoleon and Tentacruel which are the main things stopping your Empoleon. I went with an SD variant with LO to ease the stall match-up more allowing it to break Quagsire better. I compressed Stealth Rock onto this Pokemon in the last slot.

: This change is because I intend to change the Rotom-H set. Scarf Rotom-H isn't its most optimal set right now, so you needed another form of speed control. By removing Muk I open the doors up for Latias and Celebi more, so scarf Scizor made sense to help manage them. 216 Spe is all it needs as a scarfer to outpace base 115's.

gligar.png
: Gligar itself isn't an issue in this slot for the utility it provides, but you really need something that helps pressure Primarina more because offensive Empoleon can get 2OHKO by Hydro. This just lets you pressure it and other fairies like opposing Altaria more. I suggest using Flamethrower to help with the Scizor match-up. Toxic Spikes eases the stall match-up a bit more.

Minor Changes:

empoleon.png
: I have been testing around with offensive Empoleon and I didn't find success with the Petaya berry variant on this type of team. I recommend using Waterium-Z on it instead to just attempt to nuke through steel types in the tier. I also suggest Grass Knot > Substitute to just have the coverage to punish water types more. I just gave it enough speed for Mega Bee and Sceptile, rest put in HP.

rotom-heat.png
: I suggest you use the standard fast bulky Heattom to better handle Scizor and the flying types which the Empoleon no longer checks as well. This will perform the role as your hazard removal which opens up options for Altaria to run another set.

altaria.png
: With Rotom-H carrying Defog I recommend you run a DD Malt. I opted for an EQ variant as the team appreciates luring in Tentacruel and Empoleon as they are huge nuisances for your team. Facade was also a nice coverage option to help it beat bulky waters more. The EV spread lets it take 2 Krook EQs and outpace base 115s at +1 and Adamant Bisharp at neutral.

I hope you like the changes and have success with them. I think this offensive Empoleon variant just has potential to do a lot more than using the old BW set on this type of team. Waterium-Z allowing the team more leeway to play around Aggron and Scizor etc. Empoleon can still look to sweep on this team, but it does a decent job at wallbreaking for Mega Altaria to win in the end game. Another option I have tried is using SR on Nidoqueen > T-Spikes and Rock Polish on Terrakion so feel free to test that out too. If you have any questions feel free to ask ^_^

Although I mostly agree with the above post, I see very little reason to run Nidoqueen over Nidoking on this kind of build. The extra power just makes switching in on it harder, and I somewhat doubt the extra bulk is going to go much distance on this team.

Nidoking isn't a Toxic Spike user, so there is merit in running Nidoqueen over it. The reasoning for it was to pressure Primarina etc. but the spikes eases the stall match-up more for Facade Altaria and Terrakion to muscle through it. Nidoqueen also provides better defensive utility to handle the likes of Terrakion and Cobalion better than Nidoking can. While I agree Nidoking is harder to switch into and could potentially be opted if you chose to forgo T-Spikes for SR, it wouldn't suit the initial approach I went with. Hope this clears up your query ^_^

Thanks man, i really like the changes, exept for rotom. I testes this team for about 10 matches, and the winrate was 70%, but the more i got comfortable with the team the more i felt like rotom wasnt needed anymore / he doesnt fit into this team. Maybe it's just my playstyle, but before he was there to be a pivot/ scarf tricker, but now i feel like he's useless as toxic misses (at least for me) almost every time and i get mostly no chance to defog with him. In all honesty, i miss A-Muk in this Team, but i cant see him fitting anymore, it's just that he was always doing something no matter what matchup u switched him into and he was bulky as f. But Rotom cant tank anything and he doesnt hit hard, maybe i will remove him with a cleric or a spinner, but all in all, thanks for your time that u invested. :D
