This is my first team, and probably the only one I will make. I decided first to make it using some of my favourite pokemon, and then use some other OU ones to fill in the gaps. If you make any suggestions bear in mind that I am making this team legit - i.e no hacking, so changing EVs or moves can take a lot of work.

142.png
Lead - Aerodactyl. Jolly, Pressure, Focus Sash
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Taunt
Rock Slide
Stealth Rock
Earthquake

A moveset that you folks will no doubt recognise. Whilst he is designed as a suicide lead, I quite often forego taunt and go straight for S.Rock, then proceed to hammer opponents with Rock Slide. Its a bit of a cheap tactic going for flinches to screw with my opponent, but it works. I try to predict what my opponent will do with regards to taunt. If I come up against a lead like infernape or bronzong, I go on the attack after S.Rock. If I think my opponent might be running thunder wave some other status move then I go for a taunt. Earthquake is here for decent type coverage and to deal with the ever pesky infernape.

dusknoir.png
Wall/Crippler: Dusknoir, Impish, Pressure, Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Atk / 228 Def
Will-o-Wisp
Pain Split
Earthquake
Ice Punch

This is my switch in king. Switch into a physical attacker or resited moves, burn them, then either sap health with pain split or go on the attack. Ice Punch is for dragon types, which are all over the shop in OU, and Earthquake is a nice reliable attack with good coverage. I can use him as a rapid spin blocker too. He works suprisingly well as a counter for dragon types. I use pain split after the switch to get some health back and weaken them, then follow up with a cheeky ice punch. Will-o-Wisp is there to cripple physical attackers. I have been toying with the idea of switching my lead for a Skarmory and using gravity and spikes, but not sure how effective this would be, and would need some time investment.

starmie.png
Rapid Spinner: Starmie, Modest, Natural Cure, Expert Belt
EVs: 136 HP / 156 Def / 216 Spd
Thunderbolt
Surf
Recover
Rapid Spin

I HATE entry hazards, and the less of them I have to deal with the better. Thunderbolt is for Gyarados and Surf is for yummy STAB goodness. Starmie has nice synergy with Aerodactyl and Tyranitar, as they have a nasty water weakness that can be exploited. I chose a modest nature over timid because with expert belt, it fools a fair amount of people into thinking that I am running choice specs, prompting them to switch, get some S.Rock damage, and then a nasty surprise when I use another move.

scizor.jpg
Early Sweeper: Scizor, Adamant, Technician, Life Orb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
Brick Break
Roost

I got myself a Scizor because I got sick of being raped by them. Bullet Punch is a sick attack on him, and with a life orb and swords dance boost pretty much OHKOs anything that doesn't resist it. Roost is to recover some damage from the life orb, but I am toying with the idea of switching it for pursuit to give me a nice starmie killer. The EVs are different to the ones suggested on Smogon, as I felt with bullet punch the speed investment was unecessary, so I went for a bit of bulk instead considering that I was using the life orb. The nasty fire weakness is covered by Starmie, Aerodactyl or Tyranitar.

tyranitar3.png
Tyranitar, Adamant, Sand Stream, Muscle Band
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Spd
Stone Edge
Crunch
Dragon Dance
Fire Punch

T.Tar is my favourite pokemon ever, and so demands a slot on any team. Sand Stream is awesome, and nicely boosts his special defense. With the sandstorm up I can survive most water and grass hits that aren't boosted by a life orb with the given EVs, but its not something to be relied on. I usually save him for late in the battle when I have taken out most of his direct counters, namely infernape and lucario. I am considering swithing stone edge for rock slide, as after a dragon dance he outruns a fair amount of pokemon and you gotta love the flinch. Crunch is there for a nice reliable STAB option. Fire punch is my wildcard. Not a lot of people expect it. I have noticed T.Tar draws out Scizor nicely, who then swords dances on the switch expecting none of my moves to OHKO it, only to recieve a nice flaming punch to the face to see it off.

You may notice I have not listed a sixth pokemon, and that is because I don't have one yet. I was hoping for some advice from you guys, and I had a little punt around the forums and couldn't find a team building section so I figured this was the best place to put this. Don't hate on me if I got it wrong. So thats my team list with a difference. Any comments would be appreciated.

I would use Focus Sash in Aerodactyl, because with Foucs Band, you'd need a lot of good luck to resist an OHKO move. With Focus Sash, you'll be able to resist your opponents' Stone Edges.

Shadow Sneak is good in Dusknoir. You could quit Earthquake or Ice Punch.

I would give Starmie other Evs spread, giving him more Special Attack.

Tyranitar needs Earthquake's type coverage along Stone Edge. Quit Fire Punch.

It looks like the team has some bulk, but I agree with Mazin to drop out Fire Punch on TTar for EarthQuake because of how powerful that is, and it's better for taking out some of the steel types outside of Skarmory. For your sixth, I would recommend something with a Fire move, because if you get rid of Fire Punch on TTar, you will lack some fire attacks. Maybe Heatran? I would probably go with a choice specs or scarf one for some Special attack firepower, but that's just me.

Also, I agree with parting with EQ for Dusknoir. Maybe replace with fire punch, but Shadow sneak is probably the better option.

I am actually using a Focus Sash, I just put focus band in for some dumb reason.

I find with a modest nature my starmie does just fine. I generally only switch in to land super effective hits, which works nicely with the expert belt.

Hey so far your team seems to be ok... but i see that everyones saying to get rid of Fire Punch. I personally think you should not, but you need to change that item. I say give it a Babiri berry since a CB scizor can easily switch in on your Tyranitar after even +6 DD and OHKO you with bullet punch 100% of the time if SR is up. as for Starmie i think you should try getting rid of Thunderbolt and putting in Shadow Ball. I say this because people will usually expect Rapid Spina nd send out a spin blocker like Gengar and Rotom. With Shadow ball you will always OHKO Gengars, Also this would give you an attack to Hit Celebis and Latias. You may think you lose coverage against Gyarados but you dont. Tyranitar is packing Stone Edge and after 1 DD your Tyranitar will OHKO Gyarados (Including Intimidate dropping your attack to normal) with Stone Edge.

You should take a look at the rules before posting an RMT, mainly because you're not suppose to post incomplete teams. Everything else looks fine, though.

My main nitpick would be for using either Life Orb or Choice Band/Scarf on Tyranitar. Muscle Band doesn't really do enough to really make a difference.

Sorry, but I would drop the starmie. Rapid Spin support is nice, but it really is not necessary for this team because you don't have a single pokemon that is SR weak (besides Aero, but he will rarely switch in besides the opening of the match). Meanwhile, Starmie isn't really doing that much. I would replace it with offensive LO Suicune, quite a beast when people underrate it.

Suicune @ Life Orb
Pressure
252 Sp. Att / 252 Speed / 4 HP
Timid
-Calm Mind
-Surf
-HP Electric
-Ice Beam

2. Do not post incomplete teams. If you are smart enough to pick five Pokemon, you can easily pick another one. If you are smart enough to pick nine, you can easily cut that down to six. Make sure to include natures, EV spreads and items. If you are unsure of your selections, make a note of this or simply add a question mark after them so team raters can help you focus on perceived problems first.
