Gummy

...three, smiles go for miles!
I've been playing pokemon for a very long time, I've just gotten into competitive battling. I would like to know if my pokemon are in good shape.

For one, I've never EV trained, but all my pokemon are Fully Trained in Super Training.

Ampharos @ Ampharosite
Calm
- Discharge
- Thunder
- Cotton Guard
- Dragon Pulse

Ampharos is my favorite pokemon out of all 718 of them. It was a no-brainer to choose it after I saw it had a mega-evolution. Ampharos has amazing Special Defense and his Special Attack is terrifying once he mega evolves. Cotton Guard is for further coverage, since it's one of the very few moves that drastically raise a stat--Defense, which is extremely helpful for walling threats. Once he mega-evolves, Dragon Pulse becomes STAB and can be used against other Electric-Types, since he quad-resists it. Thunder and Discharge take advantage of his high Sp. Atk and of course STAB.

Charizard @ Charzaridite
Brave
- Fly
- Inferno
- Heat Wave
- Flamethrower

Since only 1 pokemon can mega-evolve per match, Charizard usually sits behind, considering his only physical move is Fly. Charizard has a big Attack stat when he mega-evolves but he doesn't have much to do with it. So I take advantage of his high Sp. Atk. Inferno is a big risk at 50% accuracy, but it OHKOes many threats. Heat Wave and Flamethrower are just little fire attacks to be used against your average Grass-Type.

Sylveon
Hasty
- Moonblast
- Draining Kiss
- Light Screen
- Quick Attack

Sylveon is my tank, and my highest-leveled. I send her out to sweep Scrafties and Pangoros, which have quad weakness to her Moonblast. Draining Kiss heals any HP Sylveon loses, while Light Screen buffs up the team. Quick Attack is a move that is good when both players have low HP but Sylveon is slower than the other. She isn't holding any items, I'd like suggestions for that?

Pangoro @ Rocky Helmet
Lax
- Hammer Arm
- Strength
- Crunch
- Parting Shot

Pangoro is sent out against Mega-Absol to OHKO it with Hammer Arm. If Pangoro is in a pinch, he can use Parting Shot, which gets him out of there fast as well as lowering the targets Attack and Special Attack stats. Crunch is there for STAB and to blast away annoying Psychic types. His Rocky Helmet whittles down enemies who attack him head-on.

Greninja @ Mystic Water
Lonely
- Night Slash
- Hydro Cannon
- Hydro Pump
- Surf

Greninja is my surfer, but he can severely damage the target. He has a very high Speed stat, which allows me to hit an enemy with a Hydro Pump or even Cannon if the foe is tough. However, he has paper-thin defenses, being OHKOed by Fighting, Grass, or Electric moves. I send him out to take care of Fire types quickly.

Vivillon
Jolly
- Quiver Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Hurricane
- Stun Spore

All right, first off, Vivillon doesn't have Compoundeyes, a huge noob mistake I made earlier in the game. However, just one Quiver Dance can set her up to sweep with STAB Hurricane. I use her to paralyze fast foes and send out my slower pokemon to beat it up; and there's always the privilege of the foe not moving. Bug Buzz is a base 90 move that also has STAB included.

Well, I'm not absolutely amazing at team rating, but I'll give it a shot.

Ampharos
I find this to be a very powerful offensive wall build. Normally, I find using two offensive moves of the same type to be redundant outside of priority, but I Ampharos really doesn't have any better options, so Thunder for power and Discharge for consistency work well together. However, if you wanted to give him some Earthquake-scouting ability (which probably isn't that great on Ampharos), you could use Volt Switch. But, your build is formidable, and goes well with the bulky offense talked about in the XY Smogcast.

Charizard
I'm going to assume that you are using X instead of Y, as you didn't specify, and X far outclasses Y. But I really think this isn't that great of a setup for him. 3 Fire-type moves, and a sub-par Flying-type move are extremely redundant, and highly ineffective. You're not playing to his strengths. Here's the build I use:

Charizard @ Charzardite X
Adamant
-Fire Punch
-Earthquake
-Outrage
-Dragon Dance

This build is more hyper-offense, but once Charizard gets a Dragon Dance, little can stop him. Due to his ability Tough Claws, his STAB Fire Punch and Outrage will obliterate anything that doesn't resist them, and some things that do. Earthquake can be used to obliterate opposing Fire-types without locking yourself into Outrage, and can also take care of Rock-types and Heatran. Even if you don't Mega-evolve him, this set should still be problematic to your opponent. Just don't get too greedy with Dragon Dance.

Sylveon
Hmm... This one is interesting. While, I don't find anything wrong with this build, I would like to point out that you'll likely need to switch out from Steel and Poison types since you're going mono-Fairy, so be wary of hazards. I think your choice of offensive moves is good for what each is designed to do. Moonblast: high power, Draining Kiss: healing, Quick Attack: STAB priority. However, I'd reccomend Reflect instead of Light Screen to patch up Sylveon's lower Defense. As for an item, Leftovers works well on tanks.

Pangoro
I only have 3 minor adjustments I would recommend for this guy. First, he doesn't benefit in the slightest from Strength, which in and of itself is a poor move in battle (there's a reason it's an HM; otherwise nobody would know it exists). I would replace this with a coverage move, like Poison Jab. That will allow him to hit slower Fairy-types that would obliterate Pangoro otherwise. However, Dragon Claw and Bulk Up are other very viable alternatives to the move. Second, I think you would benefit more from an Impish nature, since you won't be using your special attack stat anyway. And third, I think a Life Orb is a better item for him to do more damage with. I do like the use of Parting Shot.

Greninja
I think this one has similar problems to your Charizard. It is overly redundant (do you really need 3 water type moves?), and doesn't take advantage of Greninja's greatest gift, Protean. With it, Greninja will change type to whatever move he uses, which allows you to get STAB on any move it uses, and if you're smart, you can play head games with the opponent by using a move with a type that resists, or is immune to whatever type you expect to be hit with. Here's my preferred build:

Greninja @ Assault Vest/Expert Belt
Ability: Protean
Adamant/Jolly
-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
-Dark Pulse
-Shadow Sneak

This is a set that takes some skill and prediction to use to maximum potential. With its 4 offensive coverage moves (with STAB on each), Greninja will usually have something that is super-effective against the opponent, hence the Expert Belt. However, I more often use the Assault Vest, which grants a 50% bonus to Special Defense, but it can only use offensive moves, which is all Greninja has. You said that he has paper-thin defenses, and I would be inclined to agree that they are low. But, I've been able to take 3-4 spc. attacks back-to-back before with this item, so there's some food for thought. (As a side note, the Assault Vest is the ultimate Sableye counter. Any Sableye will carry one of 2 moves, Trick w/ Choice Scarf, or Taunt. Taunt doesn't hinder this build in the slightest, and if Sableye tries to Trick off the vest, he'll be forced to Struggle for the rest of the match if it doesn't have Night Shade, and Choice Scarf doesn't hurt this set very much) The nature is just a preference of attack or speed. And all of it's moves cover most threats, with Shadow Sneak giving it priority AND the ability to be a pseudo-Spin Blocker.

Vivillon
I think that this is a pretty good setup. And actually, according to Bulbapedia, Vivillon does have Compound Eyes, which I think is almost necessary to avoid untimely misses on Hurricane and Stun Spore. However, if you're looking for a good Quiver Dance user, then I direct your attention to Volcarona.

I think you have the start of a very solid team, but it definitely needs a little work. Hope that I was able to help you out some.
