So i haven't played competitive battling for quite a while and find myself being blasted by new move sets, Pokemon and strategies. I have made my team to the best of my ability, and i could really use some helpful insight (: *Btw this is a volt switch/U-Turn team*
Here it is:
Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Trick
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I chose this because he can wall a lot of hits, and then dish out massive damage with hydro pump. Volt switch is there to keep the momentum going, and trick is to screw over certain annoying walls. Hidden power ice is just there for coverage.
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 248 HP / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Now i may switch out scizor for a more suited pokemon, just because he's not doing everything he used to do for me, but he does have his moments. He's a great physical attacker with access to priority, and to be honest i dont end up using the other moves all that much, because he's kind of frail. Finally, again we have U-Turn to keep the momentum going.
Noivern @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SDef / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Flamethrower
Now, this thing is an absolute monster. He has great coverage moves that allows him to put up a fight to even his greatest threats. Flamethrower is on there for coverage, as Draco Meteor and air slash are his STAB's.
Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Volt Switch
- Gyro Ball
Now this guy is your standard rapid spin set, and he's also my SR. He can take a lot of hits and deal his own with Gyro Ball, and he can even use Volt Switch to get off some decent damage off on common switch-ins like Talonflame.
Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightningrod
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
This guy is the newest addition to my team, and is also the Mega of my team, And i have to say, I'm freaking loving him. He's got great speed and Special attack that lets him deal some very heavy damage, and if this get tight, he can always volt switch out or HP Ice XD
Diggersby @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Return
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
Now before i say anything, this thing is an absolute monster. With huge power, choice band and fully invested attack, he definitely pulls his own on my team. He takes out alot of the pokemon his other teammates cant, all while doing it while taking little damage. let me just say, Return FTW.
I know its not the best, but i spent alot of time thinking about this and I would greatly appreciate some advice. Thank you (:
