Charizard Y and Mega Venusaur combo works really well for me, getting that Solarbeam with Sunny Day is useful. I feel like there is unbalance somewhere on the team, as well as I feel Gengar might not need to Mega Evolve since I already have 2 mega Pokemon already. Any advice would be great here! :)
 
Um what. You can only have 1 mega pokemon on your team at a time, bro. You seem to have 3, which isn't possible.

I don't know much about Sylveon but she's supposed to be like a tank, I'd assume leftovers is needed, and I think she gets wish? Here's a set:

Greninja needs the Hidden Ability Protean to be useful at all. Mystic Water is bad, use a life orb. All of the moves here are bad and overlapping.

You can't have Mega Gengar in OU because he's banned (And also because you have Charizard Y), and you already have Aegislash for spin blocking, I'd remove gengar from your team.

Can't have Mega Venusaur because of Charizard Y, if you want to use normal Venusaur thenthat's okay, use this set in conjunction with the sun from Yzard:

Now all of your pokemon are special attackers though, so this isn't a very good team. It basically needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. If you want to build a good Yzard team, there are plenty of good pokemon and ideas here.

I don't mega evolve them all. You can have 3 but only one can mega evolve per battle. It depends on the situation which one I mega evolve

That's a really bad way of doing things as you gimp the unevolved pokemon A LOT. Also, most of your move sets are really bad (No offense meant), refer to my previous post, as I made an edit.
 
Like, are you using this team in OU battles? Or just in game? Or what? If it's just in game then do what you want but this is a team rating dub forum for online battles of the "Over Used" tier according to Smogon.
 
I'm going to a convention tomorrow and the judges say smogon rules so I wanted to see where my team fitted. And whether it was competitive or not

I see. Well it currently fits in OU thats for sure, they are all good pokemon, but the way you are using them isn't good. You need to find pokemon that cover eachother's weaknesses and plan your whole team out to the last detail. Then you need to give them different moves and EV train them and give them perfect natures and IVs and etc. It's a lot of work to make a really good pokemon team on an actual game. It would take you much more than 1 day to do all of this, so I think you might consider simply not entering the competition haha, unless you want to for fun.

If you really want to enter it with a better team then I can try to help but it'll probably be wasted effort since it would be a bit of work just to make a semi-decent team.
 
What pokemon should I change. I need to replace Gengar with another pokemon but I'm not sure what one. And are there others I should take out and replace?

If your going for Charizard-Y an obvious moveset is Flamethrower/Fire Blast depending on if you can be bothered to risk the miss. Solarbeam for the coverage against Water/Ground/Rock types. Dragon Pulse for Dragons or Air Slash for the Stab and then Roost, there may be a time when hazards are on your side and you need to roost of damage.
252 SpA and Speed, 4HP
Fire Blast/Flamethrower
Solarbeam
Dragon Pulse/Air Slash
Roost
 
Drought is more of a personal buff for Yzard, you don't really want to use members that rely on it like Venusaur, you can but it's eh.

That link I gave you has really good advice for Yzard teams.

You'll want Latias or Latios, keep Aegislash, bring in Hippowdon+Thundurus-I or Gliscor + Tyranitar, and then add any of the following: Thundurus-I (Only if you didn't pick Hippowdon+Thundurus-I), Keldeo, or Lucario.

Do you have enough of the pokemon I listed here to make a team?
 
Yeah this sounds like something I can do. I'll have to get some mates to trade me some like latios and thunderus but the rest I can get. Thanks!

There you go, this gives you a special tank in Tyranitar, a Physical tank in Gliscor, an offensive Defogger in Latios, a pivot in Aegislash, a wallbreaker in Yzard, and a sweeper in Lucario.

Use Gliscor to kill opposing Bisharp/Tyranitar/Heatran and others of similar nature and to set up stealth rocks. Use Tyranitar pursuit trap opposing latios/latias/gengar/alakazam/deoxys/etc and to kill Greninja and strong special attackers. Use Aegislash to kill chansey/Blissey and etc. Use Latios to defog away entry hazards and kill opposing Yzards and such. Use Yzard to clear out any walls in your way, And then get a boost with SD on lucario and sweep up everything that's left.
 
Done Charizard. Latios. Choice Specs/Life Orb. Moves being Psyshock/ Draco Meteor(Choice Specs) or Dragon Pulse(Life Orb)/ Hidden Power Fire/Surf or Thunderbolt or Roost(Life Orb only). 252 SpA and Speed, 4SpD. Pretty good offensive Latios! :]

And look over your options there. You should study the pokemon listed there by checking out their OU analysis pages found in this sub forum: http://www.smogon.com/forums/forums/ou-analyses.255/

And really get into the nitty gritty of what you want your team to be. The team I gave you will work well, but it's not really customized for your playstyle, if you know what I'm saying. Good luck though!

Sorry! I'm on my phone and you pretty much covered it but why would Latios need Defog. I don't think so for the offensive one. If it was Latias fair enough. It depends on the item he is using to be honest!
