I am new to Little Cup (or competitive battling at all for that matter) and I have been looking around this forum quite a bit. I used prem's team from the Sample Teams thread for a while, doing pretty well with it. Now I created my own team and I would like to know what people think. I've been trying it on Pokémon Showdown to test it out, but I figured this would give more feedback.
=== [lc] Test Team ===
Brick (Ferroseed) @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Barbs
Level: 5
EVs: 92 Atk / 188 Def / 228 SpD
Impish Nature
- Bullet Seed
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
I usually open with him, setting up Stealth Rock and using Thunder Wave if I have enough time, sometimes even getting in a Leech Seed for good measure.
Cyclops (Magnemite) @ Berry Juice
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 5
EVs: 32 Def / 240 SpA / 236 SpD
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Recycle
- Hidden Power [Grass]
My most annoying member of the team. Sturdy + Berry Juice + Recycle, with attacking moves as necessary.
Digger (Diglett) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 SpD / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Memento
- Rock Slide
- Shadow Claw
Basically just an attacker. If I have the chance I memento when my focus sash is used.
Puffy (Cottonee) @ Eviolite
Ability: Prankster
Level: 5
EVs: 196 Def / 116 SpA / 196 SpD
Bold Nature
- Leech Seed
- Stun Spore
- Dazzling Gleam
- Giga Drain
I'll switch this one in when I have no other Pokémon that can do much. I'll usually hit them with a stun spore and a leech seed and then working from there
Jabber (Croagunk) @ Eviolite
Ability: Dry Skin
Level: 5
EVs: 188 Atk / 124 SpA / 196 SpD
Lonely Nature
- Vacuum Wave
- Sludge Bomb
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
Clammy (Clamperl) @ DeepSeaTooth
Ability: Shell Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 248 SpA / 80 SpD / 180 Spe
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Shell Smash
- Surf
Those last two are more attackers. Clamperl is a go to switch in for me though because he's more bulky.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I've noticed a few gaping holes in there that desperately need to be fixed (for example my complete lack of any way to deal with Scraggy and Mienfoo).
