XY OU Rate my team

hello I have made my team since near the beginning of pokemon X and Y and i have managed to peak several times over 1800. originally this team had genesec aegi and deoxys-s but since the bans i had to adjust it.

Azelf @ rocky helmet

trait: levitate

EVs: 252 hp/ 252 spd/ 4 def
Jolly nature

~taunt

~magic coat

~stealth rock

~knock off

Ok first i had my hazard setter originally it was deoxys-s job but since the ban i changed it to azelf and managed to keep the same set more or less. Knock off it there to not be useless after taunt and helps getting rid of things like scarf on magnezone and evolie on chansey. the reason behind having magic coat and taunt is because this team was created when the deos were still relevant so magic coat helped fighting the deos and have not updated this move set to the current meta but it can still be useful for example on toxic chansey or slowbro then taunt next turn so they cant heal. the reason for rocky helm is the same for why i have taunt and magic coat plus i also find it more relevant than sash at time due to mainly breloom since a sash loom can guarantee 2-3 kills alone with out rocks up and its the lead so if azelf lives a bullet seed and is low health most would then mach punch it to make sure that no rocks are set up that would break its sash same with other sash pokemon that deal physical damage and physical attackers for passive damage in general. rocks aren't generally needed half the time there just there to make sure that any sash that their pokemon have is broken so that if wont stop a sweep prematurely.

Talonflame @ sharp beak

Trait: gale wings

EVs: 192 hp / 252 atk / 4 special defense / 60 spd

Adamant nature

~brave bird
~flare blitz
~roost
~swords dance

I decided to have sharp beak instead of band so that I can freely switch moves and set up on some pokemon. Brave bird and flare blitz are mandatory roost to heal stealth rock damage if I cant get rid of them. The evs are spread like that to out speed adamant excadrill since brave bird is priorty the only faster prority that are possible is weavile, shadow sneak greninja, extremspeed and thundorus t-wave but unless you run jolly max speed then those will still out speed you so i decided to put the evs in to health instead which allows it to live longer than most other talons and can revenge them at full health, and Adamant is to ensure the most damage possible instead of trying to out speed pokemon. sharp beak is there to boost brave bird since the only reason that talon has flare blitz is for ferro and excadrill. This is one part of my bird spam core.

Mega Pinsir @ pinsirite

Trait: aerilate

EVs: 252 atk / 4 special defense / 252 spd

Jolly nature

~return
~quick attack
~sword dance
~close combat

Close combat over earthquake mainly to hit tyranitar and rotom a bit harder since aegi is gone, earthquake doesnt hit much more pokemon than Close Combat does. originally i had adamant nature but i have since change it to jolly mainly due to fact that i kept dying from having pinsir not fast enough to kill most mega pokemon, and landorus-I. i would prefer adamant for a clean 2hko at +2 on zapdos and at +2 kill latios, and keldeo but i need the speed inorder take out most of the other mega pokemon and base 100 speed without priority. This is part two of bird spam core was considering to change pinsir to scarf staraptor in order to change mega pokemon, but so far with changing the mega around the synergy this team has would always go down, so if i wanted to change mega i would need to create a new team. At +2 it can kill most teams bar rotom, thundorus and the occasional douoblade.

Excadrill @ choice scarf

Trait: mold breaker

EVs: 252 atk / 252 spd / 4 special defense

Jolly nature
~earthquake
~rock slide
~iron head
~ rapid spinner

This is my answer to most electric types and also my spinner. Scarf is chosen because it can out speed most of the meta game can check major threats to my team such as manetric, thundorus, raikou and band dragonite for the most part. this can also 2hko latios/latias, garchomp, excadrill is key to ensuring that hazards (mainly rocks) stay off as much as possible since the only pokemon on my team that can heal itself is talon. this can also kill the occasional scarf tyranitar and kyurem-black. no defoger pokemon is chosen since this was a hyper offensive team at the start and defog can boost bisharps attack and the only pokemon that can resist +2 sucker punch is hydregion and pinsir at full health.

Hydregion @ life orb

Trait: levitate

EVs; 4 atk / 252 special atk / 252 spd

Naïve nature

~draco meteor
~dark pulse
~superpower
~fire blast

My answer to mew and slowbro most of the time and can live most priority reassuringly enough it has lived through banded talon and return pinsir at full health and can KO both of them unless pinsir runs CC which most due now a days, fire blast was mainly for mega mawile now its for scizor and neutral damage on fairy's. this has superpower because i hate focus miss and also after Draco if someone wants to switch in tyranitar catch them by surprise or if i dont want to miss a fire blast on sand rush excadrill. Draco and dark pulse are stabs, was my answer to mega mawile and aegi originally and also paired well with aegi together resisting just about every attack type. Naive nature is chosen because most attacks that it will switch into are physical attacks and hasty would lower the defense so didnt need that. I might change this with another better mixed attacker in order to deal with stall better, and/or get a new pair of pokemon that could replace hydregion and azumarill to make this team more balanced.

Azumarill @ assault vest

Trait: huge power

EVs: 252 atk / 252 special defense / 4 hp

Adamant nature

~waterfall
~play rough
~knock off
~aqua jet

Since the aegi band azul has been semi holding its place with AV it can kill mega Gardevoir with waterfall aqua jet combo and other special attackers. Still have yet to find a better wall like aegi to replace azul besides chansey. Azul pairs decently well with the rest of the team since its main problems are grass types and electric grass is covered by talon and pinsir and electric mainly by excadrill with a bit of help from hydregion. Also azul can revenge kill scarf tyranitar, terrikion, talon at full health, and both forms of landorus. it need to be weary of ferrothorn since that completely walls this set. Max Special defense is chosen over health so that it has more bulk on the special defensive side.

any comments and suggestions appreciated.

Hey mate, interesting team!
Unfortunately, I won't be able to rate it until you follow the rules here.
You need at least three lines of description for each pokemon, explaining your choice of EV's and movesets. Otherwise this thread could be locked by a moderator.

Your descriptions could use some more bulk. Follow the link given by ThePack above to the RMT rules and add more lines to your descriptions. Anyways here's a short rate. Taunt and Magic Coat on Azelf are kinda redundant. I'd drop Magic Coat and replace it with Explosion just to sack Azelf to stop your SR from being cleared away. I'd also run Focus Sash instead of Rocky Helmet to ensure getting rocks up as rocks are crucial to Mega Pinsir based HO

Hey there!
Sady, your team descriptions are somewhat lacking, so your thread could be locked. Anyways, just like NotBruceWayne said, implying that Azelf is a suicide lead, Focus Sash is the best option. It doesn't need Magic Coat, since it practically outspeeds several of the metagame, fast enough to Taunt the opponent. It will mostly die on every battle, so Magic Coat is not needed.

Hey the team looks decent so far, I just have a couple suggestions. You're right about Azelf being the next best lead after Deoxys-S and Deoxys-D were banned. Your lead set is a bit lacking, I suggest using Dual Screens Azelf. It can bolster your teams defense and allow the team to boost on neutral and resisted hits, then proceed to rip through teams. You still have Taunt in order to prevent opposing mon's from shooting off status moves or entry hazards, and Stealth Rock to punish switching and to make it easier for your Pokemon to secure OHKOes and 2HKOes. If you make this change I recommend using Belly Drum Azumarill. Azumarill has excellent typing and can boost on a majority of the metagame. It's a dangerous threat that can rip opposing teams. Dual Screens support just gives it more opportunities to setup. It won't have to worry about its best checks / counters because Mew, Slowbro, M-Venusaur, Ferrothorn, and etc are destroyed by Hydreigon, M-Pinsir, and Talonflame. These changes should increase the offensive pressure of your team. Hope I helped a bit.
Azelf @ Light Clay
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Light Screen
- Reflect

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Belly Drum
- Play Rough
- Aqua Jet

Note on Talonflame:

I'd recommend using a Life orb on talonflame over a sharp beak.
You're still able to switch moves freely, and Flare Blitz will be able to share the boost.
Also, the HP damage isn't that significant, so it won't hamper its longevity that much.
