Hello, i'm Yukkine and i'm kind of new to competitive battling as well as the forums so please bear with my lack of knowledge. I really wanted to make a team however and after a lot and by that i mean a lot of time spent in actually making something semi decent i managed to come up with this now bear in mind that this is not by all means good but i am still quite proud of it as i have had many attempts at making a team and this one really is the best so far.

Anyway now on to the team

310-mega.gif

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 SpE / 252 SpA / 4 Def
Timid Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Volt Switch
-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Overheat

So for the first member of my team i decided to use Mega-Manectric as i have always really liked him and since he has a mega he really is a decent pokemon. Mega-Magnectric is an amazing pivot and is an a great part of the Intimidate volt-turn core as there are many physical pokemon in ou and being able to reduce their attack can be really handy at times. I use the move thunderbolt as it has Stab on Manetric and has decent power and solid accuracy i use volt switch to switch out when in a bad match up, also many people like to switch into Landorus to try to check manectric as it is not effected by electric type moves and so i use hidden power ice as Landorus is 4x weak to ice, Over heat is just another move mostly there for annoying steel types like scizor who may try to set up on manectric

Now for the other member of the intimidate volt-turn core we have Scarfed Landorus-Therian

645-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 72 Def/ 180 Spe
Jolly Nature
-U-turn
-Earthquake
-Knock Off
-Stone Edge

The reasons why i chose this pokemon is that firstly he is ground flying meaning that he is immune to ground which is really mega manectric's only weakness also being scarfed allows it to outspeed many things such as scarfed garchomp which threatens magnetric. Like Mega-Manetric Landorus-Therian also has intimidate which really contributes to the previously mentioned intimidate volt-turn core. I use the move u-turn to be able to switch whilst also doing a slight bit of damage to the opponent, Earthquake is there as it is a solid Stab move on Landorus, knock off is to be able to try and stop some walls or even being able to knock off th item of an in coming pokemon if my opponent decides to switch, Stone edge is there to hit flying types like Talonflame or Zapdos for supper effective damage.

212.gif

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/ 252 Atk/ 8 SpD
Impish Nature
-Bullet Punch
-U-Turn
-Knock Off Pursuit
-Superpower

Ok, so i decided to use scizor as he too like the above pokemon can contribute to the volt-turn core
he doesn't have intimidate however but that really isn't too much of a problem as a choice banded bullet punch thats also being powered up by technician really does hurt. I mostly have scizor around though for pokemon like clefable or chansey who can be very annoying to deal with and none of them really like taking a bullet punch or super power to the face, knock off is also used to be able to knock off items like eviolite because that really does make some pokemon annoying Pursuit is used to trap things like gengar or latias potentially getting the K.O. and superpower is there for things like ferrothorn cause why not. However i am thinking about changing this set to more of a swords dance set as the band limits me to 1 move which means that everytime i would have killed something with lets say a super power nope i have to switch out cause i'm stuck into
something like knock off

talonflame.gif

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt
- Bulk Up

This is my stall breaker of the team as i can often use taunt on a staller and possibly start setting up using bulk up (so in that regard i guess that he can also be a set up sweeper) after i am fully set up i like every other person that uses talon flame start to bird spam and by doing this managing to stack up some K.O's. Brave bird is a nice stab move that also has priority roost is to heal up when talonflame is low on health taunt is to try and stop stallers and bulk up is to set up

latias.gif

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish Roost

ok so since this team is going to be switching in and out quite a lot which is the whole point of the volt-turn core we really can't have any entry hazards at first i used excadrill for this position but then i realized that Latias was a better choice as she has levitate which gives me another immunity to ground
and defog gets rid of the entry hazards however perhaps the top reason to why i ended up replacing excadrill with Latias is that she has access to healing wish which can be useful when a sweeper is at low health as i can sacrifice latias to bring it back at full health free of any status condition,Roost is used for sustain so that Latias can stay healthy against things like Keldeo

lastly but not least we have

479-wash-gif.31182

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
so i didn't really know what to use for the last slot and so i decided to use a physically defensive rotom wash as at this point i was slightly afraid of opposing talon flames also its another pokemon that can use volt switch also he has hydro pump for good Stab, will-o-wisp to cripple opposing physical attackers to potentially give me a switch into manetric to be able to lower their attack even more without taking much damage on the switch also this rotom has pain split which is its mean of sustain.

Once again i apologize that the team isn't good i really did try but i am still learning and so i would really appreciate any constructive criticism :D

now that I've learnt to use the hide button here's an importable

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning rod
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 Def
Timid Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Volt Switch
-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Overheat

Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 72 Def/ 180 Spe
Jolly Nature
-U-turn
-Earthquake
-Knock Off
-Stone Edge

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP/ 252+ Atk/ 8 SpD
Impish Nature
-Bullet Punch
-U-Turn
-Pursuit
-Superpower

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings

Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt
- Bulk Up

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Roost

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Hey man, I see this is your first post here and that you also joined recently, so I'll give you a warn welcome and congratulate you on your first post here on Smogon! Greetings aside, I think this team has a nice flow and concept to it, it needs a few adjustments of some certain areas. With all this said, lets get into the rate!

Firstly, you need to change your Scizor spread to 252 HP / 252+ Atk / 8 SpD, as your current one is for Bulky SD Mega Scizor and is not compatible Choice Banded Vanilla Scizor. This spread here just allows you to Draco Meteors for Latios, Hyper Voices from Mega Gardevoir and just general resisted hits better, as you lack in recovery on this set. The Attack is kind of self explanatory and is just there to hit things like a truck and get crucial Ohkos and 2hkos on threatening Pokemon to both Scizor and your team.

252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 88 HP / 4 Def Azumarill: 195-229 (53.7 - 63%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor U-turn vs. 32 HP / 0 Def Mega Alakazam: 536-632 (206.9 - 244%) -- guaranteed OHKO - HP Fire and Focus Blast do a lot, so this is crucial damage.

252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 252 HP / 160 Def Clefable: 344-408 (87.3 - 103.5%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO - Most CM Clefable Carry Flamethrower, so to avoid being toasted you need this damage to take care of it.

252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Superpower vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 290-342 (82.3 - 97.1%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock - Quick way to take care of Ferrothorn.

252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Scizor: 164-194 (47.8 - 56.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock - Makes you a reliable switch in, to even the strongest of Dragon Attacks.

232 SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Scizor: 135-159 (39.3 - 46.3%) -- 23.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock - Makes you a reliable switch in, to even the strongest of Fairy attacks

Secondly, you need to change your Scarf Landorus-T spread to / 252 Atk / 72 Def / 180+ Spe, your current spread is really strange, as it get little to no benefits from running any SpD investment and fails to out speed a respectable proportional of the non boosted meta game. The spread I have provided allows you to out speed the entire non boosted meta game, whilst also retaining its high attack stat and being able to guaranteed live a Brave Bird from +1 Talonflame and has a nice chance to even live one after rocks!

+1 252 Atk Sharp Beak Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 72 Def Landorus-T: 259-306 (81.1 - 95.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252 Atk Sharp Beak Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 72 Def Landorus-T: 259-306 (81.1 - 95.9%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Thirdly, going back to Scizor you can use Pursuit > Knock Off, as you already have access to this move through Landorus-T and having the ability to trap Pokemon with Pursuit is huge! Having pursuit allows you to take care of Lati@s, Gengar and Pokemon a like which can cause huge problems seeing as Scizor and Potentially Talonflame are your only reliable switch ins to these Pokemon.

252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 434-512 (167.5 - 197.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Pursuit vs. 72 HP / 0 Def Latias: 314-370 (98.4 - 115.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latios: 346-408 (115.7 - 136.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Finally, I recommend you use Recover > Healing Wish, as Latias is your only reliable switch in to things like Keldeo which can other wise hit your entire team for mass damage with both its stabs. Running roost on Latias insures that you keep your valuable check to this monster alive and prevent your team from being hurt badly or statuses by Scald.

I hope you were able to gain something out of my rate and I yet again welcome your arrival here to Smogon! Keep the good work up man and hopeful you and your team will exceed your endeavors!
