ORAS UU Rate my team!

Being my first rate my team post I hope everybody understands if I make a mistake. Now lets start!

Starting off with Rotom-H:
Rotom-Heat @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 52 Def / 208 Spe
Timid Nature
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunderbolt

I have Rotom-H because I find him a very useful pokemon. He can deal with most of his weaknesses.
With Overheat I can take out enemies such as Set-up Cobalions and maybe the odd M-Aggron. With Will-O-Wisp I can also stop bulky physical attackers. Thunderbolt can be used to stop water and flying types that may switch in and Volt Switch can be used as a pivot with my other pokemon.

Next we have M-Swampert:
Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Brick Break
- Ice Punch

With this set I chose to go all out attack since none of the other sets seemed very viable. I had a problem with Ground types so I chose to give M-Pert Waterfall being the physical attacker he is. He also has Ice Punch to counter the pesky Grass types such as Whimsicott and Roserade etc. Brick Break is just to attack any dark or normal types that switch in such as Blissey and M-Absol. Another perk is that he can be used as a wall for electric types.

Now an odd choice it's Muk:
Muk @ Choice Band
Ability: Poison Touch
EVs: 220 HP / 252 Atk / 36 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Shadow Sneak
- Dynamic Punch
- Ice Punch

I used Muk because I always seem to have a trouble with fairies. Gunk shot along with his choice band will most likely OHKO fairy types like Florges and will defiantly OHKO Whimsicott encore supports. Shadow Sneak is there for other ghosts and psychics like Duoblade and Alakazam. Dynamic Punch is there for more normal and dark types as well as steel, rock and ice types who may oppose it. Ice punch is again, there for grass, ground and dragon types.

For my Mega I chose Ampharos:
Ampharos @ Ampharosite
Ability: Static
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 132 HP / 252 SpA / 124 Spe
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch

Being an electric type it has it's obvious STAB move, Thunderbolt. This simply allows it to take out walls such as CalmCuine and the odd M-Blastoise. Once I remove any fairies from the opposition I can mega and sweep with Focus Blast and Dragon Pulse (along with the odd T-Bolt). Focus Blast can remove the Ice types when I mega along with rock types who may be a nuisance. Volt switch can be used to pivot between Rotom-H and any other pokemon, but the main trio will be Rotom-H, M-Amph and my next pokemon...

Whimsicott (a.k.a the rage inducing fluff ball):
Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
- Encore
- Moonblast
- Leech Seed
- U-turn

Ahhhh.... Encore the move that creates rage. It can be used on CalmCuines to lock them into Calm Mind and then allow you to finish them off with Moonblast. Talking about Moonblast this will allow us to destroy dragon, dark and Fighting types. With leech seed you can plant and then switch out with U-turn to a low/medium health pokemon. U-turn is going to be used in unison with Rotom-H and M-Amph.

My last pokemon is a last resort for any dark or psychic types still standing. It's Heracross:
Heracross @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Guts
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Facade

I don't really have to explain this one. When it sets up with Swords Dance it can use a variate of moves. It can use Close Combat for any left over ice, rock, steel or dark types still standing or it can use knock off to get rid of an eviolite or destroy a psychic type like Alakazam or Gligar. Facade is one of the most useful and powerful moves on this set while used in unison with Toxic Orb. So this set can also be used as a sweep if done properly!

Hopefully my team isn't 'Trubbish' (wink... wink... ;D). Please don't be afraid to leave your opinions and suggestions.

EDIT: Muk apparently has a problem with Dynamic Punch so it has been replaced by Brick Break

I think that you may want to switch out one of your megas for a new mon, as activating one usually wastes the other. I'd also suggest swapping toxic orb on heracross with flame orb, because toxic will take away health faster and guts makes hera ignore the burn attack cut. Besides that I'm not sure if there are any big issues, but I'm just scanning this and I don't often use these mons. Good luck

Hey man, few quick changes just to mostly just improve the sets. If you're sticking with Muk, I'd likely run Focus Punch as the fighting move of choice since it actually has the power you're looking for. Little added bonus that you're not locked into it if somebody interrupts your focus meaning you can click Gunk Shot or Shadow Sneak next turn. But yeah, Muks pretty terrible so I'd recommend trying Nidoqueen instead since it's generally considered the best poison type in the tier and still helps you break through pokemon like Florges and some other defensive cores. You also don't really have a good way to win most of your games so I'd recommend standard Calm Mind Suicune > Swampert. Nidoqueen keeps your ground type here so you're not losing too much. It also gets rid of double mega which is wasteful. Id also run Giga Drain > Leech Seed on Whimsicott since you dont like switching into opposing Swampert and being able to actually kill it will help out. Finally, I'd switch to Scarf Rotom-H to just add some speed to the team which it sorely lacks up until now. Anyways, best of luck with the team.

Hey man, cool looking team! just a quick suggestions on your current team (the one in the pastebin)
  • First off, I would probably put EVs on that Whimsicott to something like 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe. Also I think it would benefit the team really well if the set looked something like this, based on the teams weakness to some set-up sweepers, Stun Spore is really nice to fall back on if they start getting out of control. Here's the complete set :]
    whimsicott.gif

    Whimsicott @ Leftovers
    Ability: Prankster
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
    Bold Nature
    - Encore
    - Stun Spore
    - U-turn
    - Moonblast

  • Next, I think you should go with HP Grass over HP Ice on Rotom-H and Sleep Talk over Blizzard on Suicune. HP Grass takes on a lot of common switchins to Rotom-H (namely Swampert), and Sleep Talk is just the better option on Suicune if you want to become a wincon.

  • Lastly, I recommend you use Jolly over Adamant nature and Toxic Orb over Flame Orb on Heracross. A Jolly nature allows you to outspeed some very common threats such as Mamoswine, Feraligatr, and Gyarados, which are extremely prevalent in the current metagame. Toxic Orb is also preferred because you're usually only attacking once then switching out so it amounts up to 6% over Flame Orb's 12% per turn.
But yeah, cool team and I hope you consider my recommendations :]
