ORAS OU Rate my Team

Concrete (Conkeldurr) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 56 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off

I chose this Pokemon because of the bulk I needed on my team and coverage. It's role is to mostly tank up Psychic types attack back with Knock Off. Because of its bulk it is a reliable switch in. Drain Punch is too Recover HP while doing damage to steel types. I used Mach Punch for priority if needed and Ice Punch for Gliscor or Dragons.

Scar (Excadrill) (M) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin

I chose this Pokemon because of its typing and faint Rotom-W. It's role is to Rapid Spin Stealth Rocks for Charizard. Earthquake is for STAB and Levitate users. Iron Head is for any fairy types. Rock Slide is for Talonflame and Charizard which I happen to encounter a lot.

Beast (Charizard-Mega-X) (M) @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Flamethrower
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast

I chose this Pokemon because I like how it fit my team and its diverse movepool. First, Charizard X cocvers my other Pokemon and can do lots of damage. I usually switch into this Pokemon when type advantages seem favorable. It is an overall Pokemon that can do a lot of damage. I chose some STAB moves like Dragon Pulse which is pretty reliable. I may use flamethrower against a Pokemon, then Airslash another turn if I think they will switch. Focus Blast is for any Rock Types that may switch in.

Bubbly (Azumarill) (F) @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Ice Punch
- Play Rough
- Superpower

I chose this Pokemon for because of its immense power to get a KO here and there. It's role is take a hit, then dish out more damage. I usually switch after attacking. I sometimes get multiple KO's from its power by spamming the same move. Aqua Jet is for out speeding fast fragile Pokemon. The other moves are for super effectiveness against bulky Pokemon. I usually send this Pokemon after the opponent faints one of mine.

Eyes (Galvantula) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sticky Web
- Thunder
- Signal Beam
- Energy Ball

I chose this Pokemon because of its fast speed and ability to learn Sticky Web. I usually lead out with it and set up Sticky Web. Then, sometimes I get a KO because of type effectiveness and Focus Sash. All moves but Sticky Web are for Coverage that they might lead out with. Thunder is mostly used because of ability and STAB.

Phantom (Gengar) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Dazzling Gleam
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave

I chose this Pokemon because it can sweep with its speed and typing compared to the others. It's role is mainly to hopefully get a KO then, when they switch to a super effective Pokemon I use Destiny Bond. I chose two stab moves for coverage and Dazzling Gleam is a extra side bonus that an opponent might not suspect.

Weaknesses

After battling on PS I realized people liked to lead with Magic Bounce Pokemon. My team struggled a lot against teams with Mega Sableye. Also bulky Pokemon like Blissey and Cresselia I couldn't do anything because they kept healing.

Hi there, welcome to Smogon! Unfortunately I'll have to lock this for the time being as the RMT rules require that you provide in-depth descriptions for each Pokemon to explain your choices and their roles. Please read the rules carefully and take a look at other RMTs and the RMT archive to see the kind of detail and format we require. PM me with updated descriptions and I'll be happy to unlock this.

Use this gengar set: http://pastebin.com/TLKcPtBj it assures you counter bisharp and tyranitar a pon switch in because neither of them could take a focus blast for there life. Taunt over destiny bond because it takes care of stall and you have nothing for that.

Your charizard set is kind of weird because charizard Y is usually the special attacker, so I recommend you use that over your current set. You also should replace dragon pulse with roost because it's only super effective against dragon and it's not STAB. Also solar beam over air slash because it destroyes water types that would otherwise counter you like slowbro. Heres the set: http://pastebin.com/DRw1RhnJ

Hey AshGoku, your team has potential but it has a few fundamental flaws and some set choices that need improvement.

Charizard-X shouldn't be running a Special set since Charizard-Y has a higher Special Attack stat and Drought to make it more of a threatening Special Attacker. Charizard-X also has Tough Claws which gives its main physical attacks a 1.3x boost (same as Life Orb), which makes it better suited to be a physical attacker. With that being said, you should run Dragon Dance Charizard-X > Special Charizard-X.

Your team has literally nothing that takes advantage of Sticky Web since your members either are still too slow to benefit from it, or already sit in a good speed tier. A hazard your team should be running instead of Sticky Web is Stealth Rock since it struggles with Talonflame and you just give it more breathing room by not having them up. Stealth Rock in general are pretty much mandatory on every team to help punish switches, have damage rolls become guaranteed kills, to break Sturdy, Focus Sash, and Multiscale, as well as help improve poor matchups with aggressive double switches to get chip damage on Pokemon that are hard for you to break. So, to provide you with a Talonflame check, a Stealth Rock setter, and something that can help support Excadrill, you should run Chople Berry Tyranitar > Galvantula. This allows you to run Sand Rush > Mold Breaker on Excadrill so you have a fast revenge killer and late game cleaner under the Sand.

Also, for future reference, Bug Buzz would be a better option on Galvantula than Signal Beam since it's stronger and can break through Substitute. Shuckle however is a far better Sticky Web setter than Galvantula since it has access to Stealth Rock, better bulk which allows it get up hazards more than once, and Encore to prevent setup. It also has Sturdy which means it can run Mental Herb to beat Taunt users.

Next, I think you should run Celebi > Gengar for a few reasons. Celebi provides you with a much needed second Water resist since you're running Sand, and it also checks opposing Azumarill, Keldeo so your Azumarill doesn't need to risk a Scald burn, and can lure Heatran with Earth Power to support Charizard-X. Nasty Plot Celebi also helps you beat other nuisances to your team like Calm Mind Slowbro and Suicune.

Again, for future reference, Dazzling Gleam is a poor move choice on Gengar. Focus Blast is far superior since it hits Dark types harder, plus it also allows you to beat common SpDef Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Tyranitar, and Heatran. Ghost + Fighting also gives perfect neutral coverage, so you should be taking advantage of that.

With Chople Berry Tyranitar checking Gengar, and Celebi checking Rotom-W plus being a status absorber, I feel like you can take a more offensive approach with Conkeldurr. I think you should run Life Orb + Sheer Force Conkeldurr > Assault Vest + Guts. With Sheer Force boosted Thunder Punch it can lure in and OHKO Azumarill, as well as 2HKO Skarmory and Slowbro to help support your offensive core or Excadrill + Charizard-X. Ice Punch when boosted by Sheer Force does massive damage to Hippowdon, and gets guaranteed OHKOs on Gliscor, defensive Garchomp, and Landorus-T. The spread I'll be providing will allow you to outspeed Skarmory that run 24 Speed EVs.

Lastly, to help you check Volcanion a bit better, as well as Manaphy, Swift Swim Kingdra, and M-Gardevoir, you should run Assault Vest Azumarill > Choice Band. Again, for future reference, Choice Band Azumarill should run at least 84 Speed EVs so it can outspeed Clefable. Ice Punch is also a poor option on Azumarill since literally all it does is Amoonguss, which your team doesn't struggle with whatsoever. Waterfall is a far better option to have for accurate and powerful STAB if you don't want to risk a Play Rough miss.
