Plan: What I like to do is throw out Tyranitar first, due to being able to activate Sand Stream, and a dangerous hit (stuff like Weavile and Hippowdon with Brick Break/Earthquake) keep me alive. I can usually handle Weavile with one Stone Edge, but in cases where it doesn't work, I go from there.
Gengar, for me, is very useful following up Tyranitar; Its moves cover a wide-ish type range and can usually get a good revenge KO on anything. If I know the opponent can counter Gengar, I use Garchomp.
Sand Veil helps me quite a bit. It's fast, it's powerful, and I can bring down many things with it- Notably, Bronzong. (which I find really odd but maybe my friend didn't train his well)
Starmie is good for taking away stuff that may end up being hazardous and BoltBeam is fun.
And Bronzong is there to piss people off, and in many cases, to scout the rest of their team.
Electivire is for Blissey and Gyarados.
