Rate my Team!

After using randomly picked pokemon for wifi battles, i decided to come up with a team.

Team at a glance:

@ shuca berry, lefties
Timid nature, 252 SA /HP, the rest in hp
stealth rock
dragon pulse
fire blast
earth power

Okay so heatran has a bunch of nice resists, including ones to azelf's attacks. Once i set rocks up, i can defintley save him for late game, having all those resits, and very strong 390+ special attack, along with perfect coverage. If he saves that shuca berry, he is an even better pokemon to have late game, and a nice pokemon to have against outraging pokemon.

careful, lefties/lum, 252 hp /s.d.
Curse
stone edge
crunch
aqua tail

Curse tyranitar with these ev's is a huge beast, sporting something like 403 hp, 454 attack, 387 defense, and 494 special defense after a single curse.
aqua tail helps get rid of it's bulky ground counters such as hippowdon. 494 special defense and 403 hp means it takes pitiful damage from any special attack, even fighting ones won't manage to ohko. physical fighting types could give me trouble, like lucario..

@ jolly, lefties 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Spe
Swords Dance
Roost
Earthquake
Ice Fang

Now this gliscor counters lucario, outspeeding everything beside a scarf luc, and ohko-ing with earthquake. Gliscor also would have opportunities to cause switches, letting it swords dance and have massive attack and alot of bulk. Stone edge does give coverage, but some annoying steels like bronzong and scizor annoy me, and thus fire fang =P

@ bold , lefties
188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Spe
Wish
Protect
Surf
Hidden Power Electric 70 / Ice Beam

Vaporeon would be the standard bulky water on a team, providing wish support as well as a nice, strong surf. I don't know what i would have more problems with, gyarados, or dragons. Hp elec 70 also gives some form of attack against other vaporeons, a major pain.

@ adamant, toxic orb,
44 HP / 252 Atk / 212 Spe

Substitute
Leech Seed
Focus Punch
Seed Bomb

Breloom has nice resistances, like dark, water, rock, and ground, and is very deadly when used properly. Subseed is very annoying, leeching of opponents hp while restoring my own, and also firing stab focus punches. Anything not a ghost will be hurt, not to mention toxic orb means no damage from weather. Another solution to bulky waters, this guy is even immune to status once toxic orb kicks in!

Finally, my sweeper

@ adamant, life orb/ fire reducing berry
32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe

Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
Brick Break
X-Scissor /U-Turn

well you know how this works, 90 base power priority move demolishes about everything after a swords dance. Superpower is nice for a finishing move, scoring more OHKO's than brick break, at the cost of lowering attack. U-turn can get me out of bad situations, X-scissor is consistant stab damage, or roost could provide healing, but fighting/steel doesnt give the best coverage.

Well that's my team. Thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated

Alright, your current team doesn't have anything to take an Outrage from Salamence...even your gliscor is easily 2HKO'd by a +1 outrage, and you don't want to waste scizor so early in the game. So therefore I suggest you replace fire fang on gliscor for either Ice Fang or Stone Edge, with Ice fang hitting all dragons harder, and Stone Edge hitting those dragons (except Flygon who resists), Gyarados, and Zapdos for SE.

Well, the rest of the team looks pretty good, just a few nitpicks here and there... First off, change heatran to timid and max speed with max SpAtk to outspeed the base 80 and 85 teirs with a neutral nature, giving you alot more options to kill pokes like mamoswine, and heracross, also dragonite sometimes.

Finally scizor. Life Orb for sure, change to Brick Break, because the stat drops from superpower WILL ruin your sweep. Even if your at +2, after a superpower you will still be at +1 but with -1 def, it will easily be killed by anything. I can't stress this enogh, so make sure you change it. Anyways a +2 X-Scissor will do major damage to zong, and might even OHKO it.

Hope I helped and Good luck with the team =)

For your T-Tar... I dont think it would be able to survive a curse let alone a drop in speed would be helpful to it.

If you already use this strategy: Breloom, if a psychic is predicted, switch into Scizor as it can soak it up and X-Scissor it. I suggest also teaching it Pursuit as the pokemon will most likely be switched out. So atleast you can get some damage in before it flees off. Maybe for more of a wall on the Vap, instead of protect, maybe something like Aqua Ring for a boosted effect on its walling abilities. As "joshe" said, change the Heatran to Timid and max it in speed and special attack. Once you have done that think about replacing Dragon Pulse with HP ICE if it has a good power to pack a punch on a lead dragon like Mence. Instead of Shuca Berry on the Heatran, if you keep it modest, think about giving it a choice scarf.

The thing is, life orb tends to ruin me more often than helping. Rather than surviving to use +2 attack with 60 hp, i am now on a timer with only three turns left to attack. Only used modest becuase i don't have a timid heatran ;p

Thanks for the help.

Life Orb on Scizor. Just switch him out of Fire attacks. He needs the power. X-Scissor since U-Turn sucks in conjunction with Swords Dance.

I see Tyranitar benefiting from Rest. You lose coverage but you don't need to worry nearly as much about status, and once you have a few Curses you can heal off and wake up even more fearsome. Leftovers > Lum. If you don't opt for rest, you need recovery. If you do opt for rest, you don't worry about status.

HP Electric is good on Vaporeon.

I second Ice Fang on Gliscor, since Vaporeon handles Gyara well already. Fire Fang is pointless since Gliscor can set up on most Scizor anyway.
