The DDtar Kingdom
I present this All out hyper offensive team.
This is my Very first RMT, So try to bear with me since it's the first time IO take the time to do something like this. Reading the rules, I saw that you should take some time with your team before posting here, This Team has capped at exactly 1594 showdown, And I will proceed to try and check it out on online playing (on my 3ds). To Answer the first Question most people ask me while I kick their asses on showdown, "why mega Tyranitar and not Mega Gardevoir", to simply put it, I've always been a fan of play with your favorites, and I can safely say I have put in this team 3 of my Favorite pokemon, and i have learned to like the other 3. Tyranitar is, like his name implies, a Tyrant, and by this I mean a Freakin nightmare (until a fighting type shows up!), Making him a mega contributes to his longetivity and to his awesome attack! So, lets break the team and present the members!
The Team
Grimlock (Tyranitar-Mega) (M) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake/Crunch
- Ice Punch/fire punch
- Stone Edge
The King of the team, and the pokemon who's been my lifesaver far too many times! His role is to scare you pantless! In all seriousness, The Def, Atk and Sdef on this thing is huge! plus the benefits he gets from the sandstorm. Most people switch out when I send him, and this usually gives me a turn to Dragon Dance and Rain havoc! I began using rock slide, fire punch and crunch, but I decided to take fire punch for ice punch (them dragons, specifically Garchomp switch into it just to die a OHKO death) and took crunch out for earthquake which covers almost everything that fire punch covered in a better way, Except for Skarmory and Ferrothorn. Obviously my counter to any psychic pokemon I know doesnt learn focus blast, Talonflame and Bisharp.
Excalibur (Keldeo) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Secret Sword
- Scald
- Icy Wind
This Pokemon I was skeptic at first, BUT boy did he shut me up! his Great speed and good typing make him a dangerous threat! Even to those starmies that think I'll switch it out and eat a HP electric! I put the choice Specs because wit his huge S.Atk and good movepool, I can pretty much cover some pokemon that arent expecting his attacks. I mostly switch into a pokemon I know will switch out and use Icy wind, Specially to slow down aerodactyl, tornadus, lopunny and Mega manectric. His scalds hit hard even on resisted pokemon. This guy here, is one of the new pokemon i use that really fell in love with (specially his little pony form)
Gardevoir (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Trace
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Will-O-Wisp
This pokemon here ladies and gents, is my ace! She is so unorthodox that I'm almost certain very FEW people use it. will W-O-W anything that switches to her (except heatran, that mofo), but most importantly she OHKOs: Mega Loppuny(that doesnt Fake out and quick attack), Gengar, some Dragons, most fighting types, but her main specialty is Dragging you to hell with her, most people dont expect a Destiny bond from a 408 speed(cuz of scarf) pokemon, and since I've not invested in her physical frailty, she usually goes in, takes out my opposing threat, and then leaves the team to kick ass. Using her trace ability on Mega Manectric and Landorus is also cool, so many abilities too counter on onexpecting pokemon.
Phoenix (Talonflame) (F) @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 100 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
- Swords Dance
My revenge killer, Used to hate it, but now I love it! The Ev spread might be weird, but I put his speed so as he can outspeed anything that flare blitz can take out! Not sure if it's optimal, but I guess you guys can help with that. Pretty much the pokemon I leave for last, The last Resort if I may, Usually left alone against pokemon that he will easily kill, fighting and grass/bug types. Hasn't lead me down, even with his x4 weakness to SR.
Drillbit (Excadrill) (M) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide/Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
Not usually my lead unless i know he wont be OHKO'd, His 402 atk and his above 500 speed in the sand make him one of my fastest and strongest pokemon, 3rd pokemon I didn't use that Now I love! with air balloon he can switch into earthquakes or into Diancie's earth power, his moves pretty much cover what he needs to cover, although..I wonder If I could switch rock slide for rapid spin, just to save Zapdos some SR damage. Usually switch him into Choice specs magnezones tryign to volt switch either zappy or Keldeo.
Thunderbird (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
My defoger, and my 2nd ace. 95% of the time I lead with this bad boy, most people throw ferrothorn at him just to be killed by a heatwave, Garchomp, Scizor, Bisharp, Landorus, Tornadus, Celebi, Gliscor, All bow to this Legendary bird. Most people criticize that I use him offensively, but hell no! Wont turn this son of a gun into a slow bird, I might reduce his speed since most pokemon he can take down are not close to 128 speed(except Garchomp). I usually switch him into a predicted stealth rock to defog and prevent SR damage.
Conclusion
Up until now I've been able to Discover three weaknesses to my team:
1) Fast/Strong Water pokemon that know Ice moves (havent been beaten by a Starmie, Tho she does make my strategy more uncomfortable).
2) Stall teams. My team is very offensive, but I've only won 5/18 battles against stall teams :/ Stupid Mega-Sableye and Chancey e-e
3) Most of my victories come from Risky decisions and super precise predictions which make some situations 50/50.
Well, There ya have it!! My most successful team to date, Criticize them with love please since they all look cool :3
