Here it is, the final product of my goal to make a team core out of Giratina and Ray...it was great in Gen 5 and holds up pretty well in Gen six with slight mods (e-killer->Iron Judgment for an example)
Deoxys-Speed @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Psycho Boost
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
The open 90% of the time. Deoxys-S can regularly get Stelth Rock and about 1-2 spikes out. With taunt I can lock out the opponents trap layer. Psycho Boost can function as a sort of revenge killer as Deoxys's speed makes an effective revenge killer. Max Hp to get most out of him, same with speed.
Darkrai @ Focus Sash
Ability: Bad Dreams
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Dark Void
- Dark Pulse
- Nasty Plot
- Focus Blast
Xerneas kills kills my team, and there are annoying pokemon that its best to incapacitate and take out. Darkrai serves as my out to these troublesome characters. Usually I dont like to start with him, but it does occur at times. Max speed to get void in, sash eliminates need for focused defensive reinforcements. I have heard a lot about Scarfria and frankly I like it, but that can put me in a bad spot with Geo-Moon I suppose
Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 248 SAtk / 8 Spd
Naughty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Sneak
- Dragon Tail
- Aura Sphere
The phazer and wall breaker. This is part my teams core. Giratina get STAB from Meteor and can often break though walls. I used to use Shadow Force to get past double screeners, not sure how prevalent the normals are this format. I may return to this as it can help me get past Geo-Moon. Shadow Ball was also recommended, but I am leaning one of the two shadows. Dragon Tail can loop pokemon though Deoxys set up, and Aura Sphere is my out if I get caught in a nasty spot. Giratina is slow regardless so I decided to bulk up his atk's to make his offensives go home
Arceus-Steel @ Iron Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Judgment
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Calm Mind
Fairy Hate part 2. Like I said I hate Xerneas with a passion. With calm Judgment, Xerneas usually dies in a turn or two and I can recover the damage if I get hit. Will-O is for passive attacks in the case where I have to stall out a wall. Max Speed and SATK are self explanatory. Arceus is Arceus...need I say more
Lugia @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 Spd
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Toxic
- Substitute
Behold the Great Wall of Pokemon, my regular go-to after deoxys set up is this guy. Sub, roost, Toxic, whirl repeat this a few time and just about any pokemon dies out. People commented on whirl wind over dragon tail...fairies...all I have to say. Hp up and Def up are self explanatory, I felt it should have some manner of speed to get that crucial roost in.
Rayquaza @ Life Orb
Ability: Air Lock
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- ExtremeSpeed
- V-Create
And the sweeper, with V-create open to Raq it seemed like a really neat choice, the stab from dragon claw and the sword/dragon dance combo with E-speed really puts its work in and makes Ray a excellent sweeper. Some may cite the fairies and claim Ray does not belong...that's why I have a back up sweeper in Arceus. With Air Lock Ray gets rid of annoying Weather Shenanigans. Overall I find this guy really impressive
So let me knwo your thoughts as I am sure there are places to improve
