Old Gens RBY OU Snorlax

Plague von Karma

Banned deucer.
Snorlax
- Body Slam
- Blizzard
- Amnesia
- Rest / Self-Destruct

While many remember Tauros as the King of RBY OU, Snorlax isn't exactly far behind; in fact, it's pretty much equal! A very flexible beast, Snorlax is capable of utilizing a variety of moves, including the all-powerful Amnesia! This surprise set is used early-game to leave a sizable dent in teams that try to use traditional Snorlax checks. After just two Amnesia boosts, this set is even able to blow past the more common Reflect Snorlax, cleanly 2HKOing it. Even Pokemon resistant to Blizzard, such as Lapras, will have issues actually damaging it while taking potentially huge damage from Body Slam. Should this Snorlax be given a free turn, it's very likely that something is going to go down; some players will need to resort to using Explosion to take it down! It does have issues with Cloyster and unparalyzed Chansey, though, and most of the time won't be able to break through. If all else fails, this Snorlax can use Self-Destruct to take an opposing Pokemon down with it!

Zapdos is not a traditional Snorlax check at all. It wins the 1v1 sometimes and that's about it. You don't really need to mention which traditional Snorlax checks this helps with tbh, you can drop "like Zapdos" and move on.

The inability to break unparalyzed Chansey should absolutely be mentioned, as is Cloyster, and as is the vulnerability to Explosions - maybe after "it's very likely that something is going to go down" you can add that these three are the main ways to stop an AmneLax after it's set up, but if the field is set up correctly then yeah, it is very likely that something will go down.

Looks good otherwise.

This surprise set is used in the early-game to leave a sizable dent in teams that try to use traditional Snorlax checks. After just two Amnesia boosts, this set is even able to blow past the more common Reflect Snorlax, cleanly 2HKOing it. Even resists Pokemon resistant to Blizzard, such as Lapras, will have issues actually damaging it, (RC) while taking potentially huge damage from Body Slam in return. Should this Snorlax be given a free turn, it's very likely that something is going to go down; some players will need to resort to using Explosion to take it down! It does have issues with Cloyster and unparalyzed Chansey, (AC) though, and most of the time won't be able to break through. If all else fails though, this Snorlax can use Self-Destruct to take an opposing Pokemon down with it!
