Alright, so my mission here was to make a good, balanced team that could function well in the OU environment. But only using Pokemon from the 1st generation. So lets have a look at the team.
Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Spe. 252 Att. 4 HP
Ability: Pressure
-Taunt
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Crunch
So when I thought of 1st Gen. lead Pokemon this was at the very top of my list. I honestly used to hate this thing, but I've been finding that at the very worst it gets up rocks, and at best sweeps a bit before finally going down. On the first turn I Taunt, then I set up Stealth Rocks. If they attack the first turn I still get rocks up, unless they have priority. That's why I always SR first against Metagross for example.
Gengar @ Life Orb
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Spe, 252 SpA, 4 HP
Ability: Levitate
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-HP Fire
-Substitute, Focus Blast
Gengar can decimate teams if they aren't prepared for one, and luckily the way that alot of people prepare for one is a pursuit using Scizor, which gets OHKO'd by HP Fire ;-). Shadow Ball is for the Rotoms and because it's STAB and Thunderbolt is for Gyarados. The last move slot I don't know about. Substitute could help me by making my opponent that I'm running a Sub Punch variant (weird I know but I've seen em running around) but Focus Blast keeps Tyranitar and Blissey from walling me.
Machamp @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Att, 4 Spe
Ability: Guts
-Close Combat
-Payback
-Ice Punch
-Thunderpunch
The EVs and Nature are taken from the standard Rest Talking set, but I found that move set to be easy set up fodder. In any case becaues of Guts Machamp is still a status absorber and can do some serious damage. There really isn't a whole lot so say about this set.... oh yea should Fire Punch go in over Thunder Punch?
Snorlax @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Att, 4 SpD
Ability: Thick Fat
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Crunch
-Whirlwind/ Body Slam
Allright, I personally love this move set. Snorlax can come in on almost any unboosted special attack in the game (taking minimal damage) and set up a sub. His Substitutes can be ridiculously hard to break with special attacks barring Focus Blast. Focus Punch and Crunch give good coverage while Whirlwind is there to stop Baton Pass teams and pokes trying to set up.
Vapooreon @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
EVs: 188 HP, 252 Def, 68 Spe
Ability: Water Absorb
-Surf
-Toxic
-Wish
-Protect
Taken straight from the Smogon Pokedex, there's no point denying it. But anyway, this thing is a beast. Provides much apppreciated Wish support to my team and helps be beat out stall teams by stalling a bit myself. Surf is there just for STAB and a little bit of damage when I feel like it might be needed.
Tauros @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Att, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Nature: Intimidate
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Zen Headbutt
-Return
Didn't see him coming did you? Yea I know that I still have plenty of awesome attackers from the 1st gen to choose from but this guy is just too cool not to have on my team. Anyway, with the scarf he can revenge kill alot of different pokemon and so far has done very well for me. The moves are simply chosen to provide the best coverage possible and go for as many SE hits as I can.
Ok, well that's the team. Have fun rating and do try not to be a dick ;-)
