Welcome to the first ever RBY Random Battles Open! RBY RandBats has always been one of the most competitive versions of RandBats, with a large and dedicated community. With the advent of the massive moveset overhaul earlier today, this tournament will help people explore a brand new meta! If you've ever wanted to learn RBY, this meta is a great place to start!

Tournament Rules:
- Matches will be best-of-five (Bo5) in every round (defined as the first player to win three games, i.e. ties are not counted.)
- All tournament games must be played on Pokemon Showdown!, and all replays of all tournament games must be posted.
- The matches will always be played in the [Gen 1] Random Battles format.
- This tournament will be single elimination, meaning that a win advances a player to the next round and a loss means a player is out of the tournament. The two players that lose in the semi-final round will play in a 3rd place tiebreak.
- Each round will last at most one week.
- All standard Smogon tournament rules apply, and can be found here.
