Tournament Rules and General Guidelines

Player signups are now up for the first RBY Other Metagames Premier League! In this thread, you can sign up to play in RBYOMPL utilizing the signup form. There will be six teams and six slots making this tournament run for, at minimum, 5 qualifying weeks plus 2 weeks of playoffs. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs instead of three to avoid a bye, and to give these tiers more opportunities to develop and be played!

The Six Teams participating in the tournament are the following:

RBYOMPL will feature six teams and six slots. The tiers are as follows:
  • RBY 1v1 (best-of-7, team preview)
  • RBY Little Cup (best-of-3, Level 5, Tradebacks moves banned)
  • Nintendo Cup 1997 (best-of-3, team preview, no changing teams within a set, Cartridge Sleep Clause)
  • RBY STABmons OU (best-of-3)
  • Stadium OU (best-of-3, team preview)
  • RBY SU (best-of-3)

Tour Info & Reminders:

If you cannot commit to the entire tournament, please do not signup. All tournament rulings apply, so please check them out if you aren't familiar with them.
  • The regular season will consistent of 5 weeks.
  • The top four teams will be taken to the playoffs, which will last an additional 2 weeks.
  • Tiebreaker weeks will add at most 3 weeks.
  • Prospective Managers must sign up if they intend to play.
  • Each team will have a minimum of 8 players (6 starters + 2 substitutes).
  • The auction is projected to take place 3/28–3/30. Player Signups will close approximately 24 hours prior to the auction.

Comments/Activity Issues I'm a little busy in the first weekend of May, but I should be able to play my games then. I want to play STABmons most of all. If I don't get drafted, I will cry for 45 minutes and then cancel this tournament.

Comments/Activity Issues I made top 6 in the Nintendo Cup 1997 Revival Tournament and would love to play more of the format and help increase its exposure on Smogon. I do not have experience with Smogon formats, but would be excited to help out with other format practice. I'm overall excited about the potential of the Nintendo format and Smogon communities coming together for this tournament.

Comments/Activity Issues am an om main (hence stab signup) but also went on a lower bracket tear in nc97 tour until getting haxxed out of the tour (thats how it is sometimes). can also support all the tiers decently well except SU
