Reckless Smashers
Introduction
Well hello everyone im Nyanswag, and welcome to my first RMT on Smogon, you guys or girls may not know who I am, and that is not weird because im fairly new to competetive pokemon. This team is offensive balanced, because balance is my playstyle, the reason why is that I find it the easiest way to make a team. I peaked #14 with this team before the tier reset and Crygonal was sent to RU, I was playing under the alt: BROStime and this is my most successfull team. Well some off you may wonder why I like playing NU, the reason is that I find NU much more enjoyable than OU and UU, I really like RU as well, the pokemon in NU's tier is so much fun to play with and it is so balanced. So that is enough talking lets start with the team!

Team Building

So first off all I wanted to make a team around Scarf Braviary, because I find this pokemon extremely powerfull and it look very awesome as well, so Braviary was an easy choice to begin with.

So after chosing Braviary as it had weaknesses to electric, ice and rock, I needed to cover this. So I picked Golem because it is immune to electric an can wall rock attacks, but it is weak to ice as well. Golem was also a very good choice because it has acces to SR and priority in Sucker Punch as well obtaining an very usefull ability in Sturdy.

Now I had my SR layer an revenge killer, but I saw that I was becoming very weak to Ice, so I wanted something that could hit hard but resisted Ice. I went for Banded Emboar as it is probably the most hard hitting pokemon in the NU metagame now, and perfect for wallbreaking with it's STAB Flare Blitz and other hard hitting moves that can just tear through whole teams alone.

So now when looking at my team, half way there I noticed that my got very weak to SR so I needed a spinner. First off I was thinking off Wartortle but meh, It wouldn't hit that hard as Cryogonal and it didnt have the speed. So I went for Cryogonal it has worked very well but I do think that Wartortle fits just as good as Cryogonal in this place as a spinner.

Well the team looks very good for the moment, but there was a problem here, my mons was very weak to fighting and I was thinking off Misdreavus as it cant be hit by fighting attacks, and it works as a spinblocker as well. But then Musharna come to my mind and I was like WOW, this thing is incredibly bulky and with a couple off calm minds under it's belt it can wreck through anything that comes in it's way, so Musharna become my choice.

So no I needed one more pokemon then my team is complete, well the weakness to water is very easy to spot, and to resist water I need a grass pokemon. Amoonguss and Vileplume was my choices when looking at them both their where very bulky both off them, but Vileplume was also stronger in attacking and it had Aromatherapy so by looking at this, Vileplume got my vote, and become the last team member off the Reckless Smashers.
In-Depth
Golem @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Sucker Punch
- Stealth Rocks
So lets start off with Golem, my lead and SR layer. The job is to lay SR and wall attackers, with Sucker Punch it can dug huge chunks in frail sweepers or even take them out.. Rock Blast for destroying subs and take out the birds. Earthquake for STAB and hitting pokemon hard, the EV spread on speed is there for outspeeding other Golem so it can take them out before they take my Golem out.
Braviary @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Superpower
- Return
- U-Turn
Well Braviary is my revenge killer, im running Adamant nature because I want it to hit as hard as possible. With is pretty good coverage it is very hard to stop it. this beast has saved a lot off games by its own. It's moveset is standard, Brave Bird is it's most hard hitting move followed by Return and Superpower that is very good to have vs Rock types, U-Turn for the momentum and gain advantage.
Emboar @ Choice Band
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 212 HP / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Wild Charge
- Stone Edge
This pokemon is amazing, it is just so good at wallbreaking and leave the lefties for Braviary to clean up. With Flare Blitz it cant can make some major damage even to pokemon who resist it, Wild Charge for water pokemon and coverage, Stone Edge over Head Smash because I really dont like the recoil from Head Smash, and another STAB in Superpower that can hit those rock type pokemon. I chosed the banded version because I needed a wallbreaker and Emboar was the perfect choice.
Cryogonal @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spe / 4 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
So here is my spinner, it is the offensive version off Cryogonal because i felt it would fit my team better, HP Ground brings a lot off good things with it as it Cryogonal now can handle steel types, Ice Beam for STAB, and off course Rapid Spin so he can blow away hazards, Recover to heal up any LO and SR damage and keep on going through out the match.
Musharna @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Def / 24 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Calm Mind
- Moonlight
Here is my tank, Musharna, this thing can setup on mons like Magmortar and Braviary! If this little tapir get some Calm Mind's under it's belt it is very often gg. Im running HP Bug to take care off other Psychic types as well that Musharna otherwise couldnt do if it is running HP Fighting. Psychic for obvious reasons as it is it's most powerfull STAB move, Moonlight for recovery.
Vileplume @ Leftovers
Trait: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 HP / 208 Def / 48 SAtk
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder
- Aromatherapy
So here is my last team member that also is the cleric in the team. Vileplume can handle most threaths and put them to sleep so one off it't team members can come in for free and either set up or just wreck. Aromatherapy is so usefull to have, so it can hold my pokemon healthy all the time, Giga Drain to regain health and my only answer to Quagsire, Sludge Bomb for STAB that also easy can sweep Meganium and Tangela.
So that is my team try it out, hope you enjoyed reading it, and have a nice day!
