XY RU Red and Blue the RU Crew

I guess it's got a sort of theme i actually found accidently. I have 3 pokemon that are red or partly red and 3 that are blue or partly blue (includes shiny sprites though). This team has actually been doing pretty well so far.

Only played like 11 games with it so far though and gone like 7/4 with it. Certainly has its problems though as you'll see when i list the team so it would be nice if i could get some good honest ratings, fixes and suggestions.

Onto the team then i guess. no point blabbing on all day.

Dusclops @ Eviolite
Pressure/Calm
Evs: 252HP/8Def/248SpD
-Will-o-Wisp
- Nightshade
- Pain Split
- Skill Swap

This guy is my main special wall, he can take hits for days from anything not super effective. Obviously i have to avid anything with Knock-Off though as that does ruin his day. You might notice the skill swap as an odd choice but i run it for things like Malamar, speed boost mons or anything that really relys on its ability to put in work or to cover weaknesses. Might change it for something else though just not sure what.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doublade @ Eviolite
No Guard/Adamant
Evs: 252HP/252Atk/4SpD
- Iron Head
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance

My physical set up sweeper. He can easily switch in on a lot of physical mons due to the mix of natural physical bulk boosted by eviolite and its pretty good coverage and set up an SD on a switch or resisted hit. Its moves give it decent coverage although it's a shame it can never really make use of No Guard to its advantage so it's more of a hinderance than a help.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bronzong @ Leftovers
Levitate/Impish
Evs: 252HP/240Def/16SpD
- Gyro Ball
- Reflect
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

My main physically defensive wall. He's likely my weakest link i feel as he never really does much with no real access to recovery and pretty low base HP. it's decent mixed defences are all it's got i feel. But hey, i'm not sure what i could run instead and he does a job with setting up rocks and a reflect for my main sweepers to come in. But yeah suggestions to replace this guy welcome.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amoongus @ Assault Vest
Regenerator/Modest
Evs: 248HP/252SpA/8SpD
- Foul Play
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- HP Fire

Now this guy often puts the team on his back because he's just so unexpected. Foul play deals with most psychic types that want to switch in on him, easily eat up most hits and retaliate with a foul play. Plus he easily deals with opposing grass and water types like Lilligant or opposing Amoongus that want to try and sleep something. Plus often early on he'll force a switch with the predicted spore and land heavy damage on whatever they switch into.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heliolisk @ Choice Scarf
Dry Skin/Timid
Evs: 4HP/252SpA/252Spe
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Focus Blast
- Grass Knot

My main special sweeper. This guy is so good as he has the coverage to beat a lot of threats with his outstanding coverage plus dry skin helping me get in on water types for free and also easily having a way to beat them heavy ground or rock types that would usually want to switch in on him. A recent addition to the team and i'm so glad i added this guy. He is the Lizard Wizard.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sharpedo @ Life Orb
Speed Boost/Adamant
Evs: 252Atk/4SpD/252Spe
- Protect
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Earthquake

My premiere late game sweeper due to his decent coverage against common RU threats plus his ability speed boost allowing him to just get more dangerous the longer he's allowed to sit around. He was originally running a choice band but i've switched it to the more common protect/life orb set due to consitency issues with the pokemon.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So there is my team. I doubt it's the best RU team out there and i feel it;s far from consistent as i often have to really work my brain to pull some wins out of the bag but it;s a really fun team using some odd things and some of my all time favourite pokemon. Please don't hesitate to offer suggestions as if you have something great to add i will definitely consider it as i'm far from the best player and nobody can think of everything on their own. I know i;m missing a Fire type and some other key typings and resistances.

Hi Noobie2k7 the first thing i see is that you are using some subpar sets and Pokemon that are not really viable in the current RU metagame but, assuming that you will change them to more optimal sets (that i'll show you, don't worry) i'll try to make a rate.

One of the first things that i notice is your weakness to Fire types like Delphox and Moltres who can easily plow get a kill every time they are granted a free switch in or simply clean you if you are weakened. The simplest solution to this is changing your Dusclops (which is really bad in the RU metagame and outclassed by Cofagrigus most of the time) to Assault Vest Slowking. It gives you a good anwser to Fire types and an useful Specially Defensive Pivot.
You should also change Amoonguss to a physically Defensive Black Sludge variant as it has very nice sinergy with Slowking and makes a strong Regenerator core that is very though to break through and the Utility of Spore FAR outweights the extra bulk AV provides. It is also a better check to fighting types like Hitmonlee who are really threatening to Sharpedo and your team in general.
Bronzong can easily be replaced by Rhyperior that gives you a more offensive Stealth Rock and your team doesn't need Reflect support anyway and it gives you a way to stop Electric-types like Jolteon who can otherwise draw circles around your team.
The last suggestion i have is to use Jolteon over Heliolisk because your team is not particularly troubled by the threats that Heliolisk can hit and jolteon can't (namely rhyperior and gastrodon).

In any case i'll link you the Research threads that can be useful for you the next time you try to teambuild and to learn the tier better
