Hello smogonites this is my first RMT here. This is team is one of the best i built this Gen.It is not depend to weather to be good and that's an advantage.I reached around #180 on Smogon Ladder.I built my team around Hydreigon + Terrakion core to sweep are there to help them with getting their counters out,get up rocks etc.

So let's get to the team :P

386Deoxys_Speed_Forme_Dream.png

Deoxys-S @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 128 Atk / 152 SAtk / 228 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Superpower

Here is my lead; Deoxys-S.In my opinion it is one of the greatest non-weather leads in Gen V.1st it is guarantee to set up rocks 99%.That will help the rest of the team to get some easier ohkos.Secondly, it has 3 good attacks that help me againt other leads, especialy t-tar as it can ohko it with SP, and it also help me to use it as revenge killer in the last turns of the game.
The EP's are pretty standart.228 ep's to speed to outspeed and beat Scarfed Landorus with Ice Beam. The rest, divined to the attacks for more power.

Just_a_Skarmory_by_Garmmon.png

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Spikes
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind

There aren't much to say here..Skarmory is my physical wall.It handles nicely all the physical sweepers and especially Scizor and that mole.He is also my spiker.Roost to heal off the damage and whilrwind to phaze opponent's pokemon.Brave Bird is there,so skarm will not be taunt bait.

picture.php

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

Ok here is my wheather pokemon. To tell the truth i mostly need the t-tar for the pokemon that he can counter than for his usefull ability.Lati@s and Reun, that stop Terra+Hydra Combo, are countered easily with this 'Monster'.Other than this,t-tar also help me to change the weather,so pokemon like Venusaur,Volcarona,Thundurus,Dragonite will not sweep my team.
The only thing that i consider to change is Earthquake over Superpower so i can hit Super Effective Sp.D Jirachis.

gengar.jpg

Gengar (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Disable
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split

Here is my 4th team member. That's gengar.I selected him because i wanted an offensive Spin Blocker.I use a Sub-Disable set. With that set,Fight pokemon that have one move that can hurt Gengar are unable to do something.Shadow Ball can hit anything hard that it doesn't resisted and of course pain split to heal the damage i have taken from life orb + Sandstorm + Sub.

635Hydreigon_Dream.png

Hydreigon (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- Focus Blast

My first main sweeper. He is unstopable if you are not having a dedicated Special Wall.He even counter the Ferro+Jelli Combo.Although it's need to play carefully cause he hasn't recovery move and with Life orb and Sandstorm on it will not have many turns to do his job.Only Blissey can counter Hydreigon so get rid of blissey before you start to sweep with Hydreigon.
I am thinking to change Life orb with Expert belt so my opponents will think that i am scarfed/specsed.
And also i will have more turns to sweep with hydra cause i will not get hurted 10% of my life every turn.

terrakion.jpg

Terrakion @ Air Balloon
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Rock Polish
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

My second main sweeper,Terrakion!!He is an absolute monster. If you give him time and space to set up,he Sweep your whole team.He can even check Excadrill if balloon is up.Pokemon like Skarm,Gliscor and Reun will have problem if i am at +2.
252 +2 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs 252 HP/252 Def +Def Nature Skarmory: 72,75% - 85,63%
2 hits to KO (with Leftovers)(OHKO with some prior damage and SR.)
252 +2 Atk Terrakion Stone Edge vs 252 HP/184 Def +Def Nature Gliscor: 65,25% - 77,12%
2 hits to KO
252 +2 Atk Terrakion Stone Edge vs 252 HP/252 Def +Def Nature Reuniclus: 72,88% - 85,85%
2 hits to KO (with Leftovers)(OHKO with some prior damage and SR.)

So thanks for reading and hopefully comenting here :)

Yellow = Minor Threat
Orange = Medium Threat
Red = Major Threat

Threats:
635.png
Hydreigon- Even thought i have it on my team it's unpleasant to see it in other teams. If it's Scarfed/Specsed i watch in what move i will lock and i change in the right pokemon. If it has Life orb expert/belt i have to sacrifice something so i can ohko it with Terrrakion.
645.png
Landorus- A bit annoying, but if Skarm and Deoxys are not dead i can handle it.
640.png
Virizion- Sword Dance set is very easy to handle by Skarm. However i have problem with CM sets.
555.png
Darmanitan- Scarf Versions are pain in the ass.Thankfully i haven't seen a lot of Darmanitan in the current metagame.
385.png
Jirachi- Annoying as hell, but i can handle Sp.D versions with Gengar nicely.

Hey there.

First off, there are a couple of pokemon that can tear through your team: CM Virizion, Rotom-W (you don't have a reliable switch-in to take Volt Switches since Hydreigon has no recovery and will be worn down by Life Orb + Sandstorm + Stealth Rock + Volt Switch), Drag + Mag teams, Specs Politoed and powerful water type attacks.

In order to defeat Drag + Mag teams, run a Shed Shell over Leftovers on Skarmory. This will allow you to defeat most drag + mag teams; Roost can still keep Skarmory alive quite easily.

Now, the majority of your threats are special; you have a physical wall but no special wall. A good option to use over Hydreigon would be a Latias. While it cannot hit as hard, Spikes + Stealth Rock helps this flaw. More importantly, however, it can safely switch in to Rotom-W and Specs Politoed, and easily defeat CM Virizion in a Calm Mind war (barring a critical hit).

Calm Mind Latias
Latias @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Recover

Latias will stay alive much longer than Hydreigon, allowing it to support your team for much of the battle. Hidden Power Fire lets Latias easily defeat Scizor after a Calm Mind and entry hazards damage, greatly supporting Terrakion.

Also, run Leftovers on Gengar with Focus Blast over Shadow Ball. Leftovers cancels out sandstorm, while Focus Blast is absolutely necessary in order to defeat pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Tyranitar, and Heatran.

Overall, solid team. Hope I helped, and good luck!

Hi,

Your lack of resistance to water, bar Hydreigon, who lacks recovery leaves you extremely vulnerable to Rain Teams that include strong water moves like Hydro Pump and Surf, easily KO'ing your full team, even in Sandstorm. Deoxys-s seems to me the pokemon that most stands out as something that doesn't quite fit on your team, and is unable to beat a Sub + SD / 3 attacks Landorus which is fairly common. Something I can suggest here to help you out with Rain is using a Celebi over Deoxys-S. Celebi beats Rotom-w, Politoed, and also can beat Rapid Spin users or spike stackers with HP Fire. With a moveset of Stealth Rock | Leaf Storm | HP Fire | Recover with a Calm nature and EVs of 252 HP / 80 SpAtk / 176 SpDef, it should fill that “Rain counter” role very nicely. The EVs are just my baseline, and can be shifted around to fit your liking, but running enough speed to beat CB Scizor and enough to still be specially defensively will be fine. This does, however, still leave a slight issue with CM Virizion, but as long as Skarmory is kept at a high health level, I think you should be fine with BB’ing it. With the popularity of Rain on the ladder, I find it important to prioritize which threats are handled first in the team, and which threats can be played around that don’t require team changing, but more so game planning.

Shed Shell on Skarmory is a must to save you against Drag + Mag teams, while Hydreigon can run Expert Belt instead of Life Orb to avoid recoil damage, while also feigning a choice item (although most people expect Expert Belt by now, the lack of recoil is reason enough to run EB over LO). For Gengar, I will appeal for a SubSplit set with Focus Blast over Disable, since running both Pain Split and Disable is a bit too much, decreasing Gengar’s viability as an anti-stall pokemon.
Good luck mate!

Hey there,

That's a pretty solid team you've got there, however it has some flaws like the vast majority of good teams. ShakeItUp and San Pellegrino already pointed out some threats and gave you ways to deal with it, but I think there's one more big threat to your team which is Trick Room Reuniclus. It can use Deoxys-S as easy set up fodder or a Terrakion switch, and when it sets up, your team will get a hard time with it. While both Hydreigon and Tyranitar are immune to Psychic, they will be taken down very quickly by Focus Blast (assuming it hits hehe.), and the others will quickly fall to Psychic or Shadow Ball. While it needs Focus Blast to actually hit three of your members, they are taken down quite easily by it. I think that a Specially Defensive SD Scizor can be a great addition to your team instead of Tyranitar. While it checks Lati@s, it struggles against Reuniclus, while Scizor can live through its attacks, stall out Trick Room with Roost, or kill it with a +2 Bug Bite. Scizor also checks the Lati twins pretty well, unless they are unchoiced and carry HP Fire. Here's the Scizor set...

Scizor @ Leftovers
Careful
Technician
EVs : 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SpD
-Bullet Punch
-Bug Bite
-Roost
-Swords Dance

Good luck!

Well, you're really weak tor rain teams as you only have one (frail) water resist who can't switch in on Surfs and Hydro Pumps repeatedly.
You also have a Calm Mind Virizion weakness, who can set up Calm Mind against Tyranitar or Hydreigon, and KO all your team after. Gengar can take a hit but Shadow Ball won't do a lot to a Virizion with a boosted SpD stat. Tyranitar is faster, but won't be able to hurt it, and Terrakion has to rely on a speed tie and doesn't OHKO.
As you said, you also have trouble with Life Orb / Expert Belt Hydreigon because you have to rely on revenging with Terrakion.

To fix this, I recommend using a Swords Dance Virizion over Terrakion. Virizion can take boosted Water-attacks pretty easily with a resistance and high Special Defense, and still is an excellent physical sweeper. He is also able to get past Gliscor with Hidden Power Ice, something Terrakion has a lot of trouble with. The exact set is:

640.png
Virizion @ Life Orb | Justified
Hasty | 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Swords Dance / Close Combat / Leaf Blade / Hidden Power Ice

I also recommend using a specially defensive Skarmory, as it can take a Focus Blast from Virizion and strikes it back with Brave Bird, which OHKOes. It also sets up on a wider range of opponents. I recommend a spread of 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD Impish.
I also recommend trying Psycho Boost on Deoxys, preferably over Ice Beam or Superpower. KOing Tyranitar is not that required, since you're using sand yourself, and Psycho Boost lets you revenge kill Virizion.
Lastly, definitely use Focus Blast over either Disable or Pain Split on Gengar. Using both simply doesn't work, as SubSplit can't take on Blissey without Focus Blast, and SubDisable can't take on Steel-types without it. Make your choice.

Good luck!
