Battle Stadium Regice tanked(not the good way)...on to Regirock!

Using Regice had been pretty difficult so I dropped it. Wanted something fun still, and I used it in-game for max raid battles, so decided on Regirock. Someone on PS suggested Sturdy Custap vs my Clear Body one so trying that.

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Surf
- Reflect

Plain old Fini because it's strong. I like max Def, though I realize it's less common these days. Before this I had Stored Power...I'm not big on Taunt. Fini is very good but it's not my favorite and doesn't help me vs Lapras teams and Lele, so sorta considering a replacement though probably not since it's Fini.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Fly
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

Another simply strong thing, figure I shouldn't expirement much beyond the one mon. WP is rare for item, I've had fun w/ it. It beats Fini and Dracovish even, out of rain. Stone Edge for Zapdos and Moltres-g, I use it a lot, so I think it fits better than SD w/ the item choice. Superpower for Max Knuckle and I previously had no fire for Ferro, now I may not need it.

Regirock @ Custap Berry
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- Explosion
- Thunder Wave
- Rock Blast

Probably a more solid, literally, Regi than ice. Unusual set because of Custap and Sturdy. Body Press for the high Def. Max Atk and Def, not HP, to buff Body Press and since it's Sturdy. Explosion is necessary w. Custap, and before doing that cripples w/ t-wave and/or sets rocks. +def nature not atk because I get much more stat points out of it and I use Def to attack w/, too.

Cresselia (F) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonlight
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave
- Lunar Dance

An old favorite, though not too sure about this one Dynamax really hurts Cresselia this gen. Lunar Dance is really nice and mainly why I like Cresselia, so I have that. Ice Beam for the 4x weaks. T-wave to try to cripple other mons which tend to be fast. Max Def and Helmet go together, though max moves never set off helmet considering Sitrus.

Rotom-Heat @ Assault Vest
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Dark Pulse

One of the two picks that was for something(s) specific, not just generally good or liked. This can tank Zapdos and I believe Spectrier which I've lost to a lot. Fire for Ferro which I didn't have before. AV to tank Zapdos' hits, and I believe it needs Calm to be safe though I have SpA EVs.

Urshifu-Gmax @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unseen Fist
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Wicked Blow
- Ice Punch
- Aerial Ace

I saw a strange but dispiriting set in Cosmic and Stored Power Gothitelle. This crits past that and beats Chandelure. Sash for Pheromosa and the like and I just don't really like choice items. Not many other options going off usage stats, though Urshifu isn't horrendously frail. Usual 1st two moves then I got creative then I got creative neither other move is common at all. Ice Punch for the same 4x weaks, and Aerial Ace mainly for max airstream.

So there it is. I've spent a while on this team though I'm still training it on cart. I win just the tiniest bit more than I lose, so there's something. I really like WP on Landog and Regirock of one set or the other but open to all change.

EDIT: Have been trying this team w/ Mr.Mime-G over Regirock and Cinderace over Cresselia, too. Let me know which you think is better.

Your Regirock set gives up too much momentum to Mimikyu leads and Substitute users. I’d change Body Press to Rock Blast and move the Def EVs to Spe.

Change Grass Knot to Reflect on Fini.

Change Ice Punch to Counter, possibly Aerial Ace to Sucker Punch on Urshifu.

I think the rest of the team is fine. You have a clear wincon in mind with WP Lando which sets itself up almost all the time after Regirock leads, with Fini, Cres, and Rotom to answer weaknesses at team preview, and Sash Urshifu as an alternate lead / cleaner. If you play it like that this team should do pretty well.

How often do you lose to Celesteela btw? I assume quite a bit and that's why you asked about Cinderace. Rotom-H with AV does check Celesteela kind of, but Lando, Fini, and Cress are all sub seed bait, Urshifu dies to Air Slash + Sash break, so if they have a ground (like Garchomp) or SR support, things are looking very dire. The biggest culprit here is the Cresselia set, which gets absolutely abused by Celesteela. Landorus-T is your big win condition, so any time you see a Celesteela in preview (a lot) it throws a wrench in your whole plan and leaves cresselia virtually unpickable.

I think I have recommended Sub CM Cresselia on the Cinderace version of the team on PS as a way to add a non-obvious way to beat Celesteela, and the point about trying to have more ways to beat Celesteela still stands. Sub / CM / Moonlight / Stored Power with enough speed to outpace Celesteela to the Leech Seed. Adding Cinderace and taking out more of your defensive core may make this a different team, but I like how you tried adding ways to beat your problem matchup. I don't have a high opinion on Mime-Galar. If you want a dedicated screens counter, adding Brick Break is a better tech because it isn't obvious on team preview.

I haven't actually used this team w/o the changes I mentioned later for a while, but yeah very tricky vs Mimikyu and probably Celesteela I forgot if it was. Yes, you recommended SubCM Cress for leech seed Celesteela. The problem I had tho is it max airstreams so it's faster, breaks sub, then leeches before I can sub again. So it's better but not flawless, I think Cinderace and the Regieleki I'm using over Urshifu are better vs. it, and hopefully enough.

I had problems w. Mr.Mime, and have tried taking it out for another rare pick(Tsareena.) Predictability however hadn't been an issue, screeners always seem to do that if they can rather than benching the setter. But I'll try Brick Break if I still have trouble vs. them, thanks.
