Regidrago unleashes its (Dragon) Energy through all of DOU! Thanks to its incredible ability in Dragon's Maw, Regidrago can become a real threat with its Dragon-type attacks! In the wake of Flutter Mane's ban, Regidrago has an easy time breaking through most of the tier's common defensive options, while with Tornadus and Farigiraf's support, it easily pops frailer offensive Pokemon. Dragon Energy is one of the strongest spread attacks in the entire tier, dealing huge damage to any Pokemon neutral to Dragon. Likewise, Draco Meteor is a single-target attack that's helpful when Regidrago's HP is low, and its Dragon Energy is weaker. Earth Power hits Pokemon that resist Dragon-type moves like Gholdengo and Kingambit. It also helps against Pokemon that use Tera Steel to resist Regidrago's attacks. Tera Steel reverts all of Regidrago's weaknesses, allowing it to blow past Ice- and Dragon-types like Chien-Pao and Kyurem without punishment. Gholdengo is an important partner, as it's an offensive Steel-type that can stop any Regidrago counters like Diancie and Alolan Ninetales. Ogerpon-H is also a great partner, as it helps Regidrago with its Steel type matchups and can redirect attacks with Follow Me.

Thanks to its ability, item and attacks, Regidrago can become a menace under the right support! this is kinda just fluff, isn't this true for any pokemon? Dragon Energy is one of the strongest spread attacks in the entire tier, dealing huge damage to foes like Tornadus, Amoonguss and bulky Ogerpon formes. Draco Meteor can target single opponents like Incineroar and Rillaboom and OHKOs Assault Vest Raging Bolt. It's also helpful when Regidrago's HP is low and Dragon Energy isn't as strong. Earth Power hits opposing Pokemon that resist Dragon like Gholdengo and Kingambit. It also helps against Pokemon that Terastallize to Steel to avoid Regidrago's attacks. All of this is true, but maybe we can consolidate this a bit to focus more on what makes Regidrago thrive in DOU right now: in the wake of Flutter Mane's ban, Regidrago has an easy time breaking through most of the tier's common defensive options, while with Tornadus and Farigiraf support it easily pops frailer, offensive Pokemon. Tera Steel reverts all of Regidrago's weaknesses into resistances, allowing it to blow past Ice- and Dragon-types like Chien-Pao and Kyurem without punishment. Regidrago fits best on teams built around it, with Pokemon like Tornadus and Whimsicott to set up Tailwind for it. Gholdengo is also an important partner, as it's an offensive Steel-type that can stop any Regidrago counters like Diancie and Alolan Ninetales. Chi-Yu is also a great partner, as it boosts Regidrago's attacks with Beads of Ruin and can fire off its own spread attacks in Heat Wave and Snarl, allowing for a near-unresisted combo. honestly more people seem to use Ogerpon-H as a fire at the high level, since it can blow past steels and steel teras but also provide follow me support
