This is my first UU team. One of my friends told me about registeel being OP, so I thought it would be fun to make a team based around it. It's a team with which I try to poison all of the opponents pokemon, then use protect and switch into other pokémon that are resistant or immune to the enemy's attacks. I'm still quite new to competive pokémon, and I'd like to get some advice on my team.
Registeel @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Iron Head
- Protect
Registeel is the star of my team. I often lead with it. I use stealth rock for the damage on switches. Then I van start stalling. I use toxic combined with protect and iron head to lower the opponents hp. Registeel van often stay Alice for a very long time because it has leftovers and I can heal it with wish.
Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Symbiosis
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy
Whenever my registeel or any other pokémon gets low on hp, I can switch in to Florges. Wish is mostly used for healing my other pokemon, but I can also combine it with protect to heal Florges. Aromatherapy is just nice to have when registeel is paralyzed or burned. Florges is also a nice switch for dragon type attacks.
Hydreigon @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Superpower
- Roost
I needed some offensive pokémon too. I just think Hydreigon is an awesome attacker. Dragon meteor can ohko a lot of pokémon. Superpower is very usefull against other dark types.
Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sky Drop
- Roost
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Tail
I don't really know how to use Aerodactyl yet, but it is always nice to have two pokémon that are immune to ground. Stone edge is also really powerfull.
Chandelure @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Energy Ball
- Trick
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball
Originally I had substitute and will-o-wisp on Chandelure, but I had nothing good against Swampert. So I gave it energy ball and choice specs. Flamethrower and Shadow Ball are just really good moves against a lot of pokémon. Chandelure is also a very good switch for the things registeel is weak against. It's both immune to fire and fight.
Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Scald
- Toxic
I love Swampert. It's often a good lead with stealth rock. I have two pokémon with stealth rock, because I like to be sure to have a good lead in different situations. It also has toxic so I can stall.
