So, yeah. This is my first time ever doing this, a RMT. I'm a somewhat casual pokémon player, but trying to be as competitive as possible. I've been playing pokemon since I was a child, but got serious in the game like 2 years ago, and learnt to actually play it around 4 or 5 months ago. May english sucks and my name's Gray Valentine in PS!

Yeah, the good ol' WFG core, at first instance it was just a Keldeo+Ttar core, but I went for Tanky hazards Ttar instead. The joke of the team is to draw the attention out of Megazor, who just looks like a plain regular defogger/support mon. It is a defogger, but it lets people get confident about it to start setting-up and then sweep out of nowhere. Yeah, it still catches people off-guard.
Now, let's move to the specification.
In Depth
Megazor (Scizor-Mega) @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
The real threat in here. In GenV, Scizor used to be one of the most used mons, and with good reason: strong priority and awesome typing. Despite the nerf, steel/bug remains a really beastly typing, resisting the newly-added Fairy type. Despite it's kinda monstruos 150Atk base, megazor was oftenly looked as a defensive-support mon, because of its incredible defensive typing and a really awesome 70/140/100 defensive stats. This set combines the two attributes to make a reliable defogger that instantly becomes a set-up sweeper in front of almost any physical threat. This EV spread allows Scizor to take 30% max from STAB-boosted EQ from Mega-chomp, offensive Lando-T or Excadrill, meaning it can freely set-up on them, who might be waiting for a uninvested version. It's really easy to make it to +4 or +6 and after that sweep entire teams, assuming Heatran is dead already.
Friendship sweep (Keldeo-Resolute) @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 240 SAtk / 16 Def
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Secret Sword
- Surf
- Icy Wind
Seriously, why the heck was thing thing UU at early-GenVI? People betrayed the power of friendship and forgot that it actually hits like a truck. The only thing that I really hate about this pal is the lack of a better movepool, but it makes up for it with insane power, really good speed and decent bulk. CM set because it's easy to force switches and it can take down a lot of stuff at +1, shutting down most counters (thundurus-I) at +2. The set is really straightforward, Lefties to avoid residual damage from Sand. Yeah, I saw in another RMT that everything keldeo needed to survive ZardX was 16DEF, so...
fak u latios (Tyranitar) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
One of the few Pseudo-legendaries to maintain its OU status, and with good reason. I started this team using an AV set with a more offensive spread, but then decided to go full defensive. Heck, it still hits really hard. Careful nature and max investment allows it to actually tank anything specially, bar Focus Miss from Gengar/Alakazam. I use it mainly for three reasons. The first one is to rekt volcarona. It can tank a Giga drain/Bug buzz from +1 Volca and KO back with Rock Slide. The second one is to control Tflame and ZardY, scaring them off and setting rocks while doing so. The third one, and most important, Pursuit trapping. Any psychic bar Gardevoir (unused) and Alakazam with Focus blast (if it hits) cries when this Godzilla-esque thing comes in.
The set is pretty standard, Rock slide because acc is important against things like ZardY or Volca, and it gets STAB so, meh. EQ for the Edgequake coverage, and pursuit to be a prick.
Rotom-Hipster (Rotom-Heat) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Def / 248 HP / 4 Spd / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
The forgotten brother of the frikin wash machine. Most people call me a hipster for using it over Rotom-w, but I really do have actual reasons for that besides "Rotom-w is 2 mainstream". The first reason is called Charizard-fucking-Y. It checks Rotom-w, but not this little guy, who can deal around 70% with volt switch, either killing or moving to something to finish it off. There's also Ferro and Forre, who are a pain in the ass to deal with, but are scared to death by this spooky oven. And since I know what Scizor can do, this thing completely shuts it down. The EV spread tanks Stone Edge from Lando-I and burns it off, to put a good example of what it can do.
4Spd may seem odd, but it is mainly to scout on Rotom-w to see if it's scarfed or not. Kinda risky and stupid, but meh.
Dino slayer (Celebi) @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 220 HP / 36 Spd
Modest Nature
- Energy Ball
- Earth Power
- Psychic
- Recover
Basically a bait. People oftenly expects support or defensive Celebi, but this is not the case. 3Attacks to cover what I want it to wear down: Earth power shut down Heatran, risky bisharps and most steels I don't want Rotom to face. E-ball is the most strong grass move that's not Leaf Storm. I use it because acc and no stat drop so it can stay. It KOs Rotom-w so it's a good option to have. Psychic is there for one reason only: Megasaur. It's common for it to be only 20 or so SpD, so it really shuts it down instantly, it makes me struggle with Conk, but that's a little drawback. Recover heals off recoil damage and is useful on switches.
The EV spread resembles what it used last gen. 36Spd is more than enough to outspeed things below 70, but I don't seem to be able to consistently tank Sucker punch so it's kinda meh.
Such doge (Raikou) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 232 Spd / 252 SAtk / 24 HP
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Yes, I'm aware double Volt turn is kinda stupid but idk. Raikou just seemed too useful to finish off stuff and tank Special hits. A good answer to Mega Pinsir, ZardY, and anything with wings, really. Laughs at Greninja. I don't really know, I really kinda feel like taking this guy off.
Threats
I'm not the kind of guy who likes bragging, but accidentally, this team became balanced enough to be able to take care of most stuff the meta has for it. But no team is perfect.
Conkeldurr - It wears Knock-off and AV so Celebi can barely check it. It passes over everything else with ease. I usually need Scizor to stop it, but it needs a to be Mega-evolved to switch in consistently enough. It doesn't disassemble the team, but it's a pain.
Deoxys-D - I don't have a way to OHKO or even scare this guy, so it is going to set up hazards on me without any way of avoiding it. Megazor just sits there getting taunted over and over again without a way to Defog or set-up. So this is the definition of a thorn in my side.
Greninja - Let's be honest: Raikou isn't half as bulky as it needs to be to come into this several times. Tyranitar can take some hits from it aswell, but it ends up tearing down both raikou and Ttar with constant switch-ins.
Charizard-Mega-X - It can really set-up on anything it comes into, basically. At +1, I can tear down the entire team, with the exception of Tyranitar sometimes. And the only way to deal with it, apparently, is 16Def keldeo. I haven't fully tested it but I've seen it a couple times already.
Will add more as I run into them.
