With the passive recovery and status immunity from Poison Heal, Reshiram is a threatening sweeper that also offers good defensive utility. Quiver Dance is the best setup move to increase both Reshiram's offensive presence and special bulk. Lava Plume is a consistent STAB move with good PP and an useful burn chance for neutralizing physical attackers. Eruption is a much stronger alternative that offers stronger wallbreaking abilities such as 2HKOing walls like Snorlax and Umbreon when boosted. However, it offers inconsistent damage, lacks the burn chance, and has pitiful PP, limiting its wallbreaking utility, especially in the long-term. Dynamax Cannon is a secondary STAB move to hit opposing Dragon-types like Eternatus, Zekrom, and Reshiram hard. It is also Reshiram's best option to hit Water-types and has the utility of punishing Dynamax as well. Earth Power provides valuable coverage against Flash Fire or Primordial Sea Steel-types, while still hitting the aforementioned Dragon-types for super effective damage. Spiky Shield can be run to allow Reshiram to activate Toxic Orb safely, gain a free turn of Poison Heal as well as scout for Choice-locked wallbreakers' moves. Volt Switch is a potential option to provide momentum, chip down switch-ins, and hit Water-type checks, but Reshiram struggles to forgo the other moves on the set. A Timid nature is necessary to outspeed neutral natured Zekrom and opposing Reshiram, as well as outspeeding Zacian-C after one Quiver Dance boost.
Reshiram pairs well with strong physical wallbreakers, especially Choice Band Zamazenta or Zamazenta-C, that can take advantage of the walls it attracts such as Snorlax, Milotic, Flash Fire or Primordial Sea Zamazenta-C, and Ice Scales Umbreon. They also help with Reshiram's lack of initial breaking power if it does not carry Eruption. In return, Reshiram switches in against their checks like Zacian and Aegislash while also being able to absorb status conditions and Knock Off, which can cripple them. Defensive Pokemon like Zamazenta-C and Melmetal can switch in against dangerous wallbreakers that threaten Reshiram, including Kyurem-W and Barraskewda. In addition, their slow pivoting allow Reshiram to activate its Toxic Orb safely should it not carry Spiky Shield and gain free turns for Poison Heal recovery. Furthermore, these defensive Pokemon can run Defog or Rapid Spin to remove entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock, which can hamper Reshiram's longevity. Reshiram can be threatened by opposing Imposter users with Dynamax Cannon or Earth Power, so a teammate such as Primarina or Flash Fire Ferrothorn that can pivot in is appreciated. Imposter users like Wobbuffet can soft check faster wallbreakers such as Barraskewda, especially with Reshiram being able to pivot into and scout certain Choice locked wallbreakers like Galarian Darmanitan-Zen. They can also scout for Flash Fire users to avoid Reshiram being lured.

[SET COMMENTS]
With a solid defensive typing, Reshiram is capable of checking threatening wallbreakers, including Galarian Darmanitan-Zen and Zacian-C. Lava Plume is the best STAB option with its good base power, PP, and burn chance. Spectral Thief allows Reshiram to check setup sweepers like Poison Heal Zekrom and Intrepid Sword users like Zacian-C and Galarian Darmanitan-Zen. Dynamax Cannon threatens opposing Reshiram, Zekrom, and Eternatus. Anchor Shot is an alternative for trapping opposing Imposter users and combines well with Entrainment, which allows Reshiram to trap and remove opposing Poison Heal users. Heavy-Duty Boots is the best item to avoid hazard damage, especially from Stealth Rock. Fur Coat is the ability of choice to reliably switch-in against the aforementioned physical wallbreakers, although Magic Bounce can be used to prevent status moves from Poison Heal Pokemon like Zekrom and Zacian.
Bulky Steel-types such as Melmetal and Zamazenta-C appreciate Reshiram taking Fire-type moves that can threaten them, and can run a different ability that is not Flash Fire or Primordial Sea, such as Prankster and Ice Scales, to check setup sweepers and special wallbreakers for Reshiram. Special walls like Ice Scales Snorlax and Mandibuzz check threatening special attackers, including Kyurem-W, Lunala, and Mewtwo. Wallbreakers like Zacian-C and Galarian Darmanitan-Zen appreciate Reshiram checking Imposter-users that have transformed into them. Even though Reshiram carries Heavy-Duty Boots, it can still be vulnerable to hazards if its item is removed by Knock Off, so hazard removers such as Melmetal, Poison Heal Zamazenta, and Poison Heal Zacian are helpful teammates. The latter, along with Water-types like Primarina and Toxapex can check Imposter-users transformed into Reshiram, which can be threatening if it carries Dynamax Cannon.
