Return Of Virtue's Last Reward

Zero-Escape-Vol.-2_-Virtues-Last-Reward.jpg

Welcome to virtue's last reward, a balanced team biased around tyranitar and keldeo + FGW core o heatran, keldeo and celebi. I have come out o official retirement now and I hope it's this team that helps me relive my glory days of the past. Virtue's last reward is named after my most favourite Playstaion vita game, which got me through some rough times an to which I thought it was only right to get a platinium on. so let's see if we can not get this team to the same platinium standard as the highly revered VLR. Remember to luvdisc/like if you like the team. The team has been revitlised to suit the current metagame better.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
char_83299.jpg

Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 88 Def / 252 HP / 168 SDef
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Power Whip
- Thunder Wave

Ferrothorn has taken the place of skarmory for virtue of it's better typing in grass and greater offensive presence for the team than skarmory. His job is to set up hazards and deal with a few rain baised threats such as rotom-w. His move pool is simple, hazards for dealing pasive damage on the switches this team will cause, power whip to deal damage to things weak to grass and thunder wave to cripple anythign that might try to set up on him. The move eves are your standard and impish nature is chosen as I am not running gyro ball.

Landorus (M) @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast
- Rock Polish
- Hidden Power [Ice]

I was origonally using choice scarf lando, but as I am now using choice latios, I feel the place is getting a little too crowded with choice users, so lando was switched to his rather impressive special sweeper set. Lando against completes the core of keltarlan to which this team is biased appon.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
char_83306.jpg

Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 100 HP / 252 Atk / 156 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Fire Blast
- Superpower

RAWR, this thing is powerful, but more important he is the herat and soul of the team, the glue that holds it together. Tyranitar is here to check/counters to the team, lati? no problem, starmie bye bye ect. ect. tyranitar makes gaps in the enemy team, for keldeo and pals to make use of. sandstorm is nice as only keldeo and celebi are hurt by it, but it makes landerous, that bit more of a powerful scarfer with stone edge and eq getting a nice boost. Ev spread for tyranitar was adjusted to outpace jellificent.

Keldeo-Resolute @ Leftovers
char_83304.jpg

Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Calm Mind
- Substitute

Keldeo is here to set up and sweep once the time comes, as mentioned his friend tyranitar doe a good job at taking out threats that would otherwise, wall it. The set is simple hydro pump for rawr power, Secret sword for fighting stab, substitute to prevent status and calm mind to set up. Keldeo is a pretty straight forward mon.

Latios @ Choice scarf
2070519-sigma.jpg

Trait: Levitate
Timid
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Draco Meteor

I wanted a solid check for keldeo and friends and choice scarf latios fits the bill, it's power and speed is what the team needs and now celebi is gone, his psychic typing does not give the team as big of issues. The move set is simple enough, draco for spamming power, surf for coverage and pesudo stab in the rain baised metagame, psyshock to hurt keldeo and pal and lastly the odd ball, thunderbolt to deal with gyarados should he set up a dd.

Scizor @ Choice Band
char_83303.jpg

EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- U-turn

Scizor is another check to various threats that could run rampant against the team. His raw power and u turn spamming helps the team keep up the offensive momentum as well.

Hi, i have a few quick suggestions that could help you bring your team to the next level of play. Starting with Hydreigon and Celebi -- I really don't like them in this current metagame. Hydreigon is so slow and doesn't really offer much except power but it's so slow and can't take very many attacks that i just dont see the benefit of using it over say: Latias. I'm also a bit concerned on how badly HP-BUG ebelt keldeo shats on you regardless of what you do.

I think we can change up a few slots to check some of these weaknesses and possibly add something cool such as a spinner / back up sweeper. You could do something like ferrothorn over celebi and then something such as Scizor over skarmory. you shouldn't have many problems running 2 hazards on ferrothorn (i do it all the time) so that's an option for you. Ferrothorn still makes a pretty damn good check to rain teams and some sand teams as well. I don't trust skarmory to check terrakion nor do i really like it on a team that needs to maintain an offensive pace to be able to win. Ferrothorn doesn't hamper that pace much if at all because of it's good typing and ability to tank those special dragon attacks. you lose a phaser but you can just play more aggressively to force switches from your opponent.

Scizor can help check some threats you have trouble handling as well such as a rampant dragonite or boosted terrakion. He also gives you the option of double u-turn for added scouting and more team synergy. You can get your team in more easily this way and scizor's powerful u-turns obviously help lando clean up lategame or help keldeo pull off a free sub and sweep. As far as the rest of the team, you can try out a mix tar of sorts to nail defensive steel types for a 2hko with fire blast over stone edge (no ev or nature change needed and you can use chople berry if you want to be able to handle gengar and such as well) which help out a great deal of your team. you lose out on some wallbreaking power but scizor should help mitigate that somewhat.

Good luck with your team and I hope I helped!

Thanks for your help joshe. From that I have made a few changes
