Reuniclus

* Mediocre typing
* Pheromosa, Hoopa-U, and Buzzwole being in OU hurts Calm Mind Reuniclus' ability to sweep.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Calm Mind boosts SpA and SpD and can be used to pressure defensive Pokemon or sweep late-game.
* Psyshock is the primary STAB and helps win CM wars.
* Focus Blast hits Dark- and Steel-types but not Psychic-types.
* Signal Beam hits Psychic- and Dark-types but not Steel-types.
* Recover provides reliable recovery.

Set Details
========

* Magic Guard makes it very much more difficult for opposing teams to deal with Reuniclus because it makes Reuniclus impervious to passive damage.
* 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA with a Bold nature maximizes Reuniclus' Defense.
* Leftovers helps increase HKO's.
* 0 Atk ivs with a negative nature minimizes damage from Foul Play.

Usage Tips
========

* Set up with Calm Mind and Recover so that you can sweep your opponents team once Reuniclus has all of its checks and counters removed.
* Make sure Focus Blast is strong enough to OHKO when you use it.
* Until then, Reuniclus can be used to wall some Pokemon with Recover and pressure opposing teams with Calm Mind.

Team Options
========

* Magnezone or Magneton can trap Steel-types to make it easier for Reuniclus to sweep.
* Fighting-types like Keldeo that can check Dark- and Steel-types.
* Fire-types like Heatran that can check Bug- and Steel-types.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Life Orb Magic Guard Reuniclus with Trick Room can be an effective late-game cleaner, but only against offensive teams.
* Colbur Berry can lure in Dark-types.
* Grass Knot can hit Slowbro and Quagsire.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Mega Sableye and Mandibuzz can completely shut Reuniclus down depending on the set. Hoopa-Unboud, Tyranitar, Bisharp, and Weavile also check Reuniclus and strongly threaten its ability to sweep.

**Bug-types*: Pokemon with strong Bug-type STAB attacks like both of Scizor's forms, Pheromosa, and Buzzwole check Reuniclus as well.

**Unaware Pokemon**: Pokemon with the Unaware ability such as Clefable or Quagsire can also completely shut Reuniclus down, but they usually can't do anything back to Reuniclus either.

otr isn't worth making a main set if you ask me, just a strong mention in oo would be fine it for it

* Pheromosa, Genesect, Hoopa-U, and Buzzwole being in OU hurts Calm Mind Reuniclus' ability to sleep.

Not sure which you mean, so I'll address both possibilities: Reuniclus can't learn Hypnosis & why would you give it Rest over recover?

I don't think that Heal Block justifies a move slot at all. The other moves Psyshock, CM and Recover are set in stone for Reuniclus biggest niche in OU. Focus Blast or Signal Beam for Accuracy is important if you want to hit Ttar, Weavile etc on the switch. I wouldn't give up any of those moves in favour of Heal Block

CM with Psyshock and Focus Miss is Reuniclus way to go 95% of the time, Toxic could be an option to hit Quagsire, Mandibuzz and Ttar on the switch to cripple them for the rest of the match.

**Unaware Pokemon**: Pokemon with the Unaware ability such as Clefable, Quagsire, or Pyukumuku can also completely shut Reuniclus down, but they usually can't do anything back to Reuniclus either.

As much as I like Pyukumuku, you should remove it from this section because it isn't getting an OU analysis.

Hi, how are you doing?

One of FBlast/GKnot is way better against Tar/Quag than Toxic will ever be. Toxic is really only doing shit to Mandibuzz which isn't common enough to warrant running it. If you're toxicing a CBTar on the switch-in it's probably going to kill your Reuniclus, so unless you're running two sweepers that TTar checks it's kind of pointless to wear it down in that way. You'd rather kill it in either situation anyway. Same thing with GK against Quag, it actually lures it to its death and doesn't let the opponent realize you lack something that can hit Skarm on your CM set before their Quag dies.

Thanks for reading.

This is a rather... sparse Overview. I mean if I were an outsider and reading an OU Reuniclus analysis that opened like this I would feel it would deter me away more than anything. Its stats can be seen above for starters and like many of those bullets could be one. I get its a simple one-dimensional Pokemon, but come on man you don't even have Magic Guard in the Overview.

Some of the wording is rather awkward. One example:

* Leftovers helps increase HKO's

Couldn't you just detail that it gives Reuiniclus recovery while helping it stay away from 2HKO ranges versus other Pokemon such as etc.

Reading the analysis more I feel it could really beef itself up a little bit. I'm not saying write a novel for Reuniclus, but give some detail man. It's kind of one of those Pokemon you have to sell its niche, and right now this analysis doesn't sell it. I would like to ask if you could add more detail to the analysis as its current iteration is quite vague. Don't take it personal by the way. Seek me if you need help.

Aight sorry I'll flesh it out more. I've been called out on past analyses for trying to over-sell the Pokemon too much so I was just trying to be straight up with what it did to minimize the influence of subjective judgements up my writing, but I'll put some more effort into selling it.

Yeah you dont have to go over the top. I get Reuniclus is a pretty meh mon, but you gotta at least sell the niche a little bit. Fleshing out what Dark-types and what not X Pokemon beats and the like helps too. Like I said if you need some help or advice with it seek me out.

Adding onto what Colonel M said, the whole analysis needs to be fleshed out a lot more in general. I understand we aren't doing write-ups atm, but that doesn't mean that the bullet points are meant to be brief and lack detail. Just treat it like you're doing a write up, but the sentences are separated into bullets instead of paragraphs. The biggest thing is giving examples of Pokemon instead of just saying "It hits Dark-types" or "pairs well with Zone because it traps steels". Like that's good and all, but what specifically are these good for? Act like someone who is reading the analysis has no idea about Reuniclus' uses in OU, because if I was trying to figure out if Reuniclus was the right pick for my team and saw this analysis, I honestly wouldn't feel any more educated. Most of the bullets just kind of list the obvious, because yeah no shit Focus Blast hits Darks, but what Darks specifically that are relevant in OU? Psyshock wins CM wars, but what Pokemon will it be wanting to win CM wars with? See what I'm saying?

Details!
