[SET COMMENTS]
Boasting a Fairy typing, great natural bulk, and access to Calm Mind, Hatterene becomes an excellent addition for Psychic teams, taking on Dark- and Dragon-type threats like Hydreigon, Roaring Moon, and Choice Scarf Meowscarada while also providing entry hazard control thanks to Magic Bounce. Psyshock targets special walls like Clodsire and Blissey and allows Hatterene to defeat setup sweepers like Calm Mind Primarina and Quiver Dance Volcarona one-on-one. Draining Kiss handles Dark- and Dragon-types and provides Hatterene with a form of recovery. Nuzzle lets Hatterene spread paralysis, while Mystical Fire allows it to threaten pesky Steel-types like Corviknight and Iron Treads. 52 Speed EVs allow Hatterene to outspeed Toxapex, letting it attack Toxapex before it can remove Hatterene's Calm Mind boosts with Haze.
Wallbreakers like Choice Band Hoopa-U and Choice Specs Latios make excellent partners for Hatterene. Hoopa-U dispatches special walls like Hisuian Goodra, Heatran, and Galarian Slowking as well as Gholdengo, while Latios eliminates threats like Gouging Fire and Archaludon, and it also assists against Water, Ground, and Flying matchups with its BoltBeam coverage. In return, both teammates appreciate Hatterene's paralysis support, which allows them to outrun foes like Tornadus-T and Ogerpon formes. Alternatively, Hoopa-U can utilize a Choice Scarf set to make short work of faster Ghost-types like Choice Specs Flutter Mane and Spectrier. Deoxys-S sets up dual screens and entry hazards to create sweeping opportunities for Hatterene. Iron Boulder and Gallade threaten special walls like Hisuian Goodra and Heatran, with both teammates also assisting against Dark teams; Choice Scarf Iron Boulder removes faster threats like Greninja and Weavile, and Gallade eliminates bulkier targets like Alolan Muk and Ting-Lu, relieving pressure from Hatterene. Armarouge melts Steel-types like Scizor and Corviknight. Slowbro, with its access to Scald and Iron Defense, takes on physical attackers like Choice Band Excadrill, Barraskewda, Dragon Dance Gouging Fire, and even Ceruledge when Slowbro is not holding an item. Galarian Slowking takes advantage of its special bulk to stave off threats like Iron Moth and Choice Specs Kyurem while also setting Toxic Spikes. Furthermore, Slowbro and Galarian Slowking can spread paralysis, allowing Hatterene to use Mystical Fire over Nuzzle. Indeedee leverages its Normal typing to switch into Ghost-type attacks from foes like Choice Specs Flutter Mane, provide Psychic terrain support to block priority moves like Scizor's Bullet Punch and boost Hatterene's Psyshock, and provide Healing Wish support.

Kasib Berry allows Hatterene to survive Ghost-type moves from threats like Dragapult and Flutter Mane, enabling it to paralyze them, making it easier for teammates to handle them, or outright remove them if at +1; however, prior chip damage is needed to OHKO the latter.
