[SET COMMENTS]
Boasting impressive bulk, Great Tusk takes the physical wall role for Fighting teams, being able to tank multiple hits from physical attackers such as Dragonite and Ceruledge. Earthquake threatens Poison-, Electric-, and Fire-types like Clodsire, Iron Hands, and Gouging Fire. Knock Off hits Earthquake switch-ins such as Air Balloon Gholdengo, Latios, and Tornadus-T and removes their item. Alternatively, Ice Spinner can threaten Gliscor and Dragonite, preventing them from setting up on Great Tusk. Rapid Spin provides entry hazard control and boosts Great Tusk's Speed, which can allow it to weaken offensive foes such as Latios. Taunt can be used instead to notably prevent Skarmory, Ting-Lu, and Hippowdon from setting up hazards and prevents Corviknight's Defog. Lastly, Great Tusk can set Stealth Rock up, breaking Focus Sash on Ceruledge and Breloom and greatly helping the team progress in the game. The EV spread lets Great Tusk outspeed maximum Speed Modest Raging Bolt while maximizing Great Tusk's physical bulk.
Defensive Great Tusk appreciates teammates that can make up for its abysmal special bulk like Assault Vest Iron Hands and Assault Vest Gallade. Assault Vest Iron Hands deals with Flying- and Fairy-types threats such as Primarina, Hatterene, and Gyarados. Gallade gives Fighting teams the edge in troublesome matchups like Poison and Water by slashing through Keldeo, Amoonguss, and Galarian Weezing. In return, they both appreciate Great Tusk dealing with Excadrill. Defensive Great Tusk also synergizes well with popular Fighting team sweepers such as Iron Valiant, Keldeo, and Sneasler, removing entry hazards and taking physical hits for them, while they break through the opponent's team. Iron Valiant can delete Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types like Keldeo, Sableye, and Choice Specs Latios with Moonblast while threatening Flying teams thanks to its access to BoltBeam. Keldeo appreciates the Electric immunity Great Tusk comes with, as it lets it focus more on overwhelming defensive cores like Corviknight and Skarmory. Sneasler takes on Fairy- and Grass-types threats such as Enamorus, Iron Valiant, and Ogerpon formes while providing U-turn support to bring Great Tusk in on physical threats such as Gliscor. Hisuian Lilligant can put a foe to sleep and dispose of Ground- and Water-types foes with its Victory Dance set such as Landorus, Swampert, and Urshifu-R. Finally, Both IronPress and Choice Band Zamazenta benefit a lot from the hazard control Great Tusk offers by setting up or sweeping without having to worry about hazards.
