Revavroom @ Air Balloon
Ability: Filter
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Iron Head
- High Horsepower
- Temper Flare
Don't let the Air Balloon fool you, this isn't a flying car; but Revavroom does fly high in UU as a potent setup sweeper on hyper offense teams. With Shift Gear, Revavroom can boost its Iron Head damage sky-high while outpacing the entire metagame. High Horsepower and Temper Flare are perfect coverage moves for Iron Head, hitting Steel-types like Excadrill, Skarmory, and Cobalion which can easily shrug off an Iron Head or two. High Horsepower is especially valuable for hitting Heatran, which walls all of Revavroom's other move options. With Air Balloon and its Filter ability complementing its Steel typing and solid natural bulk, Revavroom actually finds setup opportunities against many Pokemon. Resisting priority attacks like Lokix's First Impression and Arcanine Hisui's Extreme Speed makes Revavroom quite difficult to check offensively, but there are still some holes in its own offense that can be used to deal with it. Unaware Pokemon like Skeledirge, Clodsire, and Quagsire can shrug off Revavroom's hits quite easily, resisting its STAB attacks to boot, however the latter two need the Air Balloon popped to take it out. Airborn Steel-types like Air Balloon Heatran and Tera Steel Latios give Revavroom a taste of its own medicine, but other physically bulky walls like Donphan and Cobalion can take a hit in a pinch to deal with Revavroom.
