:BW/Rhydon:
[OVERVIEW]
Rhydon is a solid Stealth Rock user thanks to its great Eviolite-boosted bulk, fearsome Attack stat, good coverage choices, and excellent offensive typing. Its STAB EdgeQuake combination is difficult to switch into, especially when combined with coverage options like Heat Crash to deter frailer Grass-types like Gourgeist-S and Whimsicott from switching in. Rhydon's bulk and defensive typing enable it to become a decent offensive switch-in to common staples like Charizard, Gigalith, and Archeops while also being capable of threatening out Defoggers like Rotom, Articuno, and Silvally-Poison. While Rhydon has a terrific offensive typing, it is weak to numerous common attacking types, causing it to falter against certain entry hazard removers like Whimsicott and Hitmontop. Rhydon's low Special Defense, Speed, and lack of reliable recovery cause it to get worn down very quickly by entry hazards and status, making it reliant on cleric support to aid its longevity.

name: Offensive Stealth Rock
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Heat Crash / Swords Dance
item: Eviolite
ability: Lightning Rod
nature: Adamant
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Heat Crash allows Rhydon to lure in and OHKO Ferroseed and Whimsicott as well as Gourgeist-S after Stealth Rock. Rhydon can set up with Swords Dance against passive foes like Audino, Clefairy, and Miltank, making it even more difficult to switch into. Rhydon can also run a more specially defensive set with an EV spread of 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 SpD to switch into Ribombee and Charizard more reliably and trade against offensive teams. However, this comes at the cost of losing a lot of its offensive presence. Rhydon enjoys Grass-types like Trevenant, Gourgeist-S, and Tangela covering against its weaknesses to Water, Ground, and Grass. In return, Rhydon can switch into Fire- and Flying-type attacks aimed at them. Ferroseed pairs particularly well with Rhydon to form an entry hazard-stacking core, wearing down each other's checks, although they must be wary of their shared weakness to Fighting. Cleric support from Aromatisse and Audino can patch up Rhydon's vulnerability to getting worn down by entry hazards and status.

[OVERVIEW]
Rhydon is a decent Stealth Rock user thanks to its terrific Eviolite-boosted physical bulk, fearsome Attack stat, wide movepool, and excellent offensive typing. Its STAB EdgeQuake combination is difficult to switch into, especially when combined with options to bolster its offensive presence like Heat Crash, Megahorn, and Swords Dance eh i dont think the moveset is crazy, crash is decent but SD/megahorn are pretty whatever. doesnt feel like it should get this level of positivity. you could just say heat crash good last move for grasses. Rhydon’s physical bulk and defensive typing also enables it to become a decent offensive switch-in to common staples like Charizard, Gigalith, and Aggron sorta gets body pressed, other 2 are good, while also being capable of threatening out Defoggers and Rapid Spinners like Charizard dont use the same example twice, zard->zard, defensive Alolan Sandslash, and Rotom. While Rhydon has a terrific offensive typing, it is weak to numerous common attacking types, causing it to falter against certain hazard removers like Tsareena, Whimsicott, and Hitmontop. Rhydon’s low special defense and lack of reliable recovery causes it to get worn down very quickly by hazards and status, making it reliant on cleric support to aid its longevity.

Earthquake provides necessary coverage against foes like Gigalith, Aggron, and Togedemaru. Stone Edge threatens out Pokemon that are immune to Earthquake, like Charizard, Rotom, and Archeops. remove the first 2 sentences, don't need to explain basic STAB moves Swords Dance sets up against passive foes like Audino, Ferroseed, and Clefairy, making it even more difficult to switch into. Heat Crash lures in and OHKOs Ferroseed and Whimsicott as well as Gourgeist-Small after Stealth Rock switch order, heat crash should be first. Rhydon can also run a specially defensive set with an EV spread of 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 SpD to more reliably switch into Ribombee and Charizard and more reliably trade against offensive teams. However, this comes at the cost of losing some of its offensive presence. In return, Rhydon can switch into Fire- and Flying-type attacks aimed against them. Ferroseed pairs particularly well to form an entry hazard core alongside it, wearing down each other’s checks, although they must be wary of their shared weakness to Fighting. Cleric support from Aromatisse and Audino can patch up its vulnerability to getting worn down and heal Rhydon from status.

Heat Crash lures in and OHKOs Ferroseed and Whimsicott as well as Gourgeist-Small after Stealth Rock.
