Rhydon @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Poison
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Rock Polish

The first-ever Pokemon has gone from zero to hero in PU, shooting up the viability rankings in the past month thanks to its strong physical bulk, STAB moves, and setup moves. Swords Dance lets Rhydon break past physically defensive bulwarks like Gastrodon and Mudsdale with some prior chip, while Rock Polish lets Rhydon outspeed most of the unboosted tier , making it a strong cleaner on hyper offense. Tera Poison turns Rhydon's 4x Grass and Water weaknesses into a resistance and a neutrality, respectively, as well as its Fighting weakness into a resistance, letting it leverage its physical bulk against Grass- and Fighting-types like Decidueye and Pawmot. Rhydon sees heavy usage on most playstyles, especially on hyper offense, but its best partners are generally fast pivots that synergize with it like Scyther and Choice Scarf Toxtricity, with Scyther bringing it in on Bellibolt and Toxtricity bringing it in on Coalossal. Even post-Terastallization, Rhydon dislikes strong special attackers like Meloetta and Tera Ground Salazzle, so switch-ins to them like Frosmoth and Hariyama are heavily appreciated.

The first-ever Pokemon has gone from zero to hero in PU, (nah this deffo isnt true lol, Bombird was like a C+ tier mon that went to A+ and Swalot literally had the same story in Pre-DLC, i get what ur trying to say here but i just feel like this is a severe overexaggeration.) shooting up the viability rankings in the past month thanks to its strong physical bulk, STAB moves, and setup moves. Swords Dance boosts Rhydon's power significantly, letting it break past physically defensive bulwarks like Gastrodon and Wo-Chien (I mean, not rly? a standard max max wo-chien isnt getting 2hkod without rocks and luck, and generally isnt a mon you wanna deal w as rhydon anyways since it still has knock and leech to mess with you. I would rather say something like Belli or Muds in this place instead methinks.) with some prior chip, while Rock Polish lets Rhydon outspeed most of the unboosted tier after a use barring fringe Pokemon like Hisuian Electrode and Jolteon, making it a strong cleaner on hyper offense. (I like what ur saying here but this reads just a bit messy. I would say something along the lines of "Rock Polish lets Rhydon outspeed the vast majority of the unboosted metagame, making it a great cleaner on hyper offense teams. (you dont need to mention examples p much) Tera Poison turns it 4x Rhydon's quad Grass and Water weaknesses into a resistance and a neutrality respectively, as well as its Fighting weakness into a resistance, letting it leverage its physical bulk vs Grass- and Fighting-types like Decidueye and Pawmot. (mention how it lets it setup on threats it normally couldnt like the 2 examples you just give + toxic immune comes in handy) Rhydon sees heavy usage on most playstyles, (Rhydon in general sees heavy usage on most playstyles, but double dance don is mostly an offense thing. Worth the mention.) but its best partners are generally fast pivots that synergize with it well like Scyther and Scarf Toxtricity, with Scyther bringing it in on Bellibolt and Scarf Toxtricity bringing it in on Coalossal. Even post-Tera, (add a comma here) Rhydon dislikes strong special attackers like Meloetta and Tera Ground Salazzle, so switch-ins to them like Frosmoth and Hariyama are heavily appreciated.

Is this GP-ready or are you still waiting for something? I'm just a bit unsure, as the bot isn't tagged + the title doesn't have (GP 0/1) in it.

The first-ever Pokemon has gone from zero to hero in PU, shooting up the viability rankings in the past month thanks to its strong physical bulk, STAB moves, and setup moves. Swords Dance boosts Rhydon's power significantly, letting it lets Rhydon fluff break past physically defensive bulwarks like Gastrodon and Mudsdale with some prior chip, while Rock Polish lets Rhydon outspeed most of the unboosted tier after a use, making it a strong cleaner on hyper offense. Tera Poison turns Rhydon's quad 4x Grass and Water weaknesses into a resistance and a neutrality, (AC) respectively, as well as its Fighting weakness into a resistance, letting it leverage its physical bulk vs against Grass- and Fighting-types like Decidueye and Pawmot. Rhydon sees heavy usage on most playstyles, especially on hyper offense, but its best partners are generally fast pivots that synergize with it well like Scyther and Choice Scarf Toxtricity, with Scyther bringing it in on Bellibolt and Scarf Toxtricity bringing it in on Coalossal.
