RM First Serious Team

I am completely new to competitive pokemon. I have been battling and gaining experience using a few stolen teams on shoddy battle for about 3 weeks. I finnaly feel that I know enough to make my own team and here's what it is...

Heatran @Shuca Berry
Timid
4 Hp
252 Speed
252 SPA
Earth Power
Explosion
Fire Blast
Stealth Rock
I am extremely open to changing my lead. He does the job, but there must be something better to fit my team. I usually setup stealth rock and then depending on what the other lead is withdraw or attack. I feel like explosion is wasted with no EV investment.

Mamoswine @Life Orb
Jolly
252 Attack
252 Speed
4 Def
Earthquake
Ice Shard
Ice Fang
Super Power
I and the poeple I have faced am extremely amazed with how hard and fast this this can kill pokemon. I will not take him out of the rotation but will be willing to hear different build suggestions. Super power can go because I havent used it yet, but what should I replace it with?

Gyrados @Life Orb
Jolly
4 Hp
252 Attack
252 Speed
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Earthquake
Ice Fang
Everyone has a gyrados but it really is so good. I should either switch him for a new poke or change his set a little possibly because it is too similar to Mamoswines.

Rotom-H @???
Lonely
252 HP
168 Defense
88 Speed
Thunderbolt
ShadowBall
Overheat
Will-o-Wisp
I do not know much about using a Rotom, just that everyone on shoddy has one. I have no idea if this set is very good, I stole it from the Stratedex here. I definately need to find a hold item...

Togekiss @Lum Berry
Modest, Serene Grace
252 HP
104 Speed
152 SPA
Nasty Plot
Air Slash
Aura Sphere
Roost
Sometimes this thing sweeps through everything, other times I feel like it is taking up space. Suggestions are welcome.

Breloom @Toxic Orb
Adamant, Poison Heal
4 HP
252 Attack
252 Speed
Spore
Substitute
Seed Bomb
Focus Punch
This is my second favorite pokemon on the team. I use it late game and no one seems to be able to handle it well. It has its obvious weaknesses but is too good to change IMO.

My strategy revolves around my teams speed. I get of attacks quickly and it catches people off guard. I have won most of my test runs with it. The biggest problems I face are with bulky waters, gyrados, starmie, and latias. Another challenge I have is against substitute teams. My team is built for speed and does not seem to hit hard enough to deal enough damage inbetween subs. Comments, advice, tearing it apart are all welcome as long as you give reasons. Thanks in advance

Please read the RMT rules, especially rule #3.

Rule 3 said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.

You need to improve on your descriptions, they're currently too short. Have a look at some of the teams in the RMT archive to see what is expected. Explain why you chose your Pokemon, how they contribute to the success of the team, etc. Once you've fixed your descriptions, feel free to PM me them and if they're up to standards, I'll unlock your thread. Best of luck.
