I played Pokemon on Netbattle a lot during the advanced generation and I'm interested in getting back in on Shoddy Battle. So I did some lurking and read some articles and I'm putting together a team.

Brick Break to sortA 2HKO Blissey. Fire Blast to OHKO Bronzong, Metagross, Skarmory and hurt some other things like Celebi. Roost to keep it alive. Draco Meteor to rape.

I figured I needed some sort of wall for the likes of TTar, Gyrados, Salamence and such, so this guy fits right in. He just counter so much stuff. And he has Stealth Rock.

Well that's the crew.

Threat list:
Rain Dance teams (I think)
Celebi
Infernape (with HP Ice and Grass knot)
Jirachi
Heatran
 
If you didn't use Bronzong as a explosion lead then you can counter some of those threats better. (Not Heatran)

Also, slow leads aren't the best idea anymore, most leads are fast and carry taunt or Hypnosis
 
Hotpocket is right. Basically he is saying they will taunt you and you are forced to explode. I also see a fire type weakness; so add a Heatran or something.
 
He has three fire weaknesses and two resists, that usually enough...

Besides, Bronzong is going to be exploding in the beginning anyways
 
Err... I should say Mixape weak. Grass Knot kills Swampy; and the 3 fire weakness... so basically if Deoxys-S is dead youre in trouble. I recommend a tentacruel.

I was thinking about putting in Azelf as the lead over Bronzong since it's faster and removes that extra weakness to fire. I figure Salamence and Swampert should be enough to handle Heatran and Infernape, but if that isn't enough, I guess I'll put Heatran in somewhere...

Also, wouldn't Starmie be a better choice than Tentacruel? Or is Tentacruel better because it can kinda special wall?
 
Swampert can handle fire attacks, not Heatran

Heatran can still Dragon Pulse and HP Ice, doing neutral damage and hurting a ton if it is Specs


Salamance falls to fire attacks from such a beast, especially with SR and Leftovers

A bulky mence could be used in this spot
