RMT (1st Time DP but learning)

Hi all,
I haven't posted back here in a while but with NBSup going, I decided to give DP a try. This team isn't themed but the idea is to wear down counters on the other team with revenge kills, T-waves, or sandstorm support so Gyarados and Empoleon can finish. Most of the team is based on forcing switches until a sweeper can come in and boost on the switch. Winning record is around 70% but not reliable enough, so I think there's something missing in the synergy.

Weaks:
Gyarados (I set up stealth rocks and try to roar it away with hippo)
Garchomp (Weavile's probably the only counter unless Gyarados or Empoleon is already set)
Bulky stuff with status: Milotic, Vaporeon, Slowbro, Cress (I try to set up Empoleon on these but hypnosis is always a problem)

Infernape (M) @ Focus Sash ** Kong
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk / 192 Spd / 252 SAtk / 2 SDef
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Close Combat
- Fake Out
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock

I like this lead to set up stealth rock, and the speed is nice to ohko some things on the switch. Its suicidal nature doesn't seem too reliable but I guess DP is a lot quicker than RSE... Also doesn't get along with hippo's sandstorm.

Togekiss (F) @ Leftovers ** Air France
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 6 Def / 252 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Roost
- Thunder Wave

I had substitute on this initially but it lacked the power to finish and relied too much on flinchhax when walled by Ttar or some other rock. I've also considered wish/encore or nasty plot but just doesn't seem to fit well as I don't have many special sweeps.

Gyarados (F) @ Leftovers ** Unagi
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Waterfall

Standard DD. Has problems against other eels but in my experience, ice fang has been more useful.

Empoleon (M) @ Leftovers ** Charlemagne
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aqua Jet
- Drill Peck
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

This is one of the more unreliable members on this team b/c of its huge weak to Earthquake and lots of electrics. When it does set up though, it can wipe out teams on the switch quite well and surprise quite a few blisseys and celebis. Also does nicely under sandstorm.

Hippowdon (F) @ Leftovers ** Hungry Hungry
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Roar
- Slack Off
- Toxic

This is my main physical wall. I've tried Bononzong as well but this seems to be more reliable. Roar is most useful for getting rid of SDers expecting a switch.

Weavile (F) @ Choice Band ** Turandot
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Ice Shard
- Night Slash
- Pursuit

Revenge Kill. I use this to kill the SD dragons or pursuit a psychic/ghost. Gets rid of most counters to let my sweepers come in but again, it doesn't last too long, especially with sandstorm up.

This team is overrall quite effective when I play it and I was surprised to see it gain a winning record. The problem is unreliability and that most of the pokemon seem to be on a suicide mission, not lasting more than a couple of switch-ins.
