I will be going up against a guy in a couple of weeks who will be using Ubers, but does not know what items are.
How does my team (In order) sound for taking him out
Baton Pass V1 (Classic) Ninjask w/ Leftovers -
- My lead (obviously), aims to get the attack up to max, whilst getting speed to at least 2/3rds the max, before then saying hello to Smeargle.
Speed Boost
176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe - Jolly
Baton Pass
Swords Dance - In the past, used this three times in order to get the attack maximised for Garchomp
X-Scissor
Substitute - Use this first as he is leading with Dialga, and will be probably using Roar of Time. Can then proceed to Swords Dance in the Break, and then Rinse, Lather and Repeat
Ingrain Pass Smeargle w/Leftovers
- Fresh off of the Pass, I will go right in with the Spore, hitting first due to the passed (at least 2/3rds) speed boost, and then ingrain to start recovering, before Passing
Own Tempo
96 HP / 120 Def / 40 SpD / 252 Spe - Jolly
Spore - Gets the Dialga (lead) asleep p
Ingrain - Sets up a recovery field
Substitute - In case Dialga breaks the previously set Sub
Baton Pass to go to Carchomp
onto
Swords Dance Garchomp w/Yache or Habal Berry (Using a lot of Dragons, but he may have lots of Ice Moves)
- Here we go. After that massive set up (possibly including the Vaporeon below), Garchomp is in. It's sprite is a substitute, and from there, it can then proceed to utilize the moves against each
Sand Veil
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe - Jolly
Swords Dance - In the event that the previous set is somehow defeated, it can set up a Swords Dance of it's own
Earthquake - Can take out Dialga, and at the very least bruise his 2 Arceus
Stone Edge - Can be used against Articuno
Outrage - For everything else (Palkia, Giratina)
If that goes down, I have 3 Back ups
Cleric Blissey w/Leftovers -
- The Nurse of Pokemon, I will be primarily utilizing her, if I need to, to get rid of any nasty status effects
Natural Cure
252 Def / 40 SpA / 216 SpD - Calm
Aromatherapy - Simple en ough, if he (though he has all attack moves) manages to put a status effect one me, I can counter this
Ice Beam - Filler for this really
Toxic - If the above 3 are all knocked out, setting a Toxic up can be beneficial
Softboiled - can keep Bliss going
Subcalm Mind Mewtwo w/Leftovers -
- If the almighty Garchomp withj his set up falls, then Mewtwo shall take over with a focus on Special Based moves that can take out Dialga and the 2 Arceus.
Pressure
204 HP / 52 SpA / 252 Spe - Timid
Substitute - As above
Calm Mind - Raises the already phenomenal SP.A
Shadow Ball - For Giratina if need be
Aura Sphere - If Dialga manages to take out Garchomp
Baton Pass Vaporeon w/Leftovers
- Could serve as a link between Smeargle and Garchomp, if I wanted the defence up, which could be wise
Water Absorb
128 HP / 252 Def / 128 Spe - Calm
Acid Armour - Gets up the defenses, in case his Two Arceus focus on physical
Surf - Just a standard attack
Aqua Ring - Can complement Ingrain nicely, or so I hear
Baton Pass - Goodbye Vaporeon, hello Garchomp
I have been experimenting with this team for quite a while, gathering together a team that would cover Garchomp's main weakness, with Yache, he was still powerful but needed to set up, if he goes straight in like I propose above, then, theoretically, I should sweep so much easier.
I know I repeat items and what not, but there are no rules for this one, as he wants a straight out Battle with no clauses (if he even knows what they are), aside from the one that I hope I covered all of the ground rules. Credit for the sets go to the various contributors on Smogon (from the main site part), and images to Pokemon Elite 2000
