RMT! (And a bit o' help) BP Scizor + DD Mence?

Sorry, I would put up sprites, but I am relatively computer incompetent.

On to the team!!

At A Glance: Starraptor, Scizor, Salamence, Snorlax, Forretress, Heatran

Staraptor (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 80 HP/252 Atk/176 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
- Close Combat
- Pursuit

Meh. That's probably not a good start, but meh. I have 3 options for lead. This is what I've been using for now (for reasons I'll highlight in the Scizor section), and works pretty sweet for it's main purpose; fast U-Turning. Hits 420 speed, enough to out speed up to Scarfygon-Z. Standard Scarf set, but Intimidate is great for physical leads and weakening stuff late game, as well as being a great (if predictable) Hera revenge killer.

Heatran (M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 36 HP/4 Def/216 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Dark Pulse

Special Sweeper. Picks up occasional fire boosts from Scizor, then Subs until it activates the berry and kicks ass. His position on the team was pretty random, as I was originally passing Agility to him with Scizor (Agility+Sp Atk Boost was epic), however it wasn't a very good tactic and I abondoned it. However, Heatrans useful typing, great power, and ability to sweep after the berry activates kept him a spot.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP/176 Def/80 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Sleep Talk
- Rest
- Crunch
- Earthquake

Rest talking Snorlax. He's a MONSTER. He really doesn't have a specific job besides rocking everything. Great for picking up obvious Hypnosis/Spores, walling Gengar, countering Heatran, absorbing stat effects, blah blah. He's been on several of my teams and is the most consistant pokemon I've ever used.

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/64 Atk/192 Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion
- Gyro Ball

My "weak link." 90% of the time I SR+Explode, or sometimes even just Explode. I've used him occasionally to wall phys attacks, but then I almost always react with an explosion. He's not bad, as he almost always goes 1 for 1, and stops Outrage, but meh. I feel like he could be improved or replaced.

Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 224 HP/252 Atk/32 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor
- Baton Pass
- Quick Attack

First part of my "strategy." Sword Dances, then passes to Salamence. Oh, and remember in the beginning I said there was actually a reason for choosing Starraptor? Well it's because I can pass him SD in a pinch as well (744 Atk and 420 Spd, yum). He's also great for luring fire attacks to Heatran in the very early game or very late.

Now you may be asking, "Hey, Jessemon, why isn't BPing Scizor bulky?" Well, it's because I didn't want Scizor to JUST BP. I apoligize for not having the calcs on hand, but I know for a fact that SD+Tech+QA+Life Orb OHKO's Infernape w/ SR help, and takes a major chunk out of other things. SD+Life Orb+QA is also a maximum 2HKO on Cresselia's, who can either CM or spam Charge Beam/Psychic/Ice Beam back.

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 80 HP/252 Atk/176 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

Here's the real beauty of my plan. DD Salamence. DD seems like Overkill, but it's not. Reason? Generally, most people will not be using Ice Beam/Thunderbolt on Scizor. Scizor is much more likely to face Infernape/Heatran/etc. This means that occasionally (my experience has been usually, but w/e) the opponent will switch out for a Salamence counter after he comes on something he resists (like CC or Flamethrower/Fire Blast/EQ). That's when I DD.

SD+DD = 1012 attack. Yeah. Plus Life Orb. And 420 speed. Nothing survives. Well sure, Ice Shard Weavile says Hi!, but I've already cleared him out.

The best part is, Salamence is far from useless withOUT a BP'd SD. 405 Attk and 280 speed is nothing to sneeze at, and 1 DD boosts that up to a very respectable 810 atk and 420 speed.

Well, there's the team. I had DD Gyarados in there instead of Salamence, but I think I like Mence better (besides, no one hits Scizor with an Ice attack anyways).

Crap, I forgot my lead predicament.

Right now I'm toying between 3 leads (including Starraptor). I havn't tried the others yet, but I wanted to hear some feedback on whether I should try them at all.

Here are the other 2...

Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 104 HP/152 Spd/252 SAtk
Rash nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Explosion
- Flamethrower
- Psychic
- U-turn

U-Turn, hurray! Resists fighting, and is immune to ground attacks! And 456 speed (even outspeed Scarfchomp). All while keeping 383 Sp Atk. Flamethrower/Psychic for type covers (I also tend to run into a lot of steels, so flamethrower is nice). Explosion keeps me from being wall by Blissey/Snorlax, and also lets me quickly explode at things I can't defeat. Points against? Special attack, so I can't BP SD (Well I can, but it only helps for exploding). It's still a good Hera revenge killer though...

Gengar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 64 HP/192 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hypnosis

456 speed (again, Scarfchomp), and a very nice 394 Sp Attack. Is completely immune to both fighting and ground attacks. However, he is a bit gimmicky. Hypnosis is great, but then i have to switch out as well, so it really just acts like a psuedo/wierd U-Turn. DB is like an all purpose Explode. Points against: Sp attacker, SD won't help AT ALL, and being limited to only using Hypnosis/DB means lots of switching.

So, comments, questions, help?

staraptor's choice scarf doesn't get passed with u turn. Stat changes only get passed with baton pass.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I'm not sure exactly where you were confused reading my post (it's hard to proof-read effectively right after you right something).

The Choice Scarf is to make sure I can safely U-Turn at the beginning of the match, and then to to Starraptor into a fast sweeper later (hopefully with a Swords Dance boost.

Dragon pulse over Dark Pulse on Heatran or at least HP Ice. Give something an electric attack or even a rock attack to handle gyarados. I think gengar as a lead works best. It sleeps and can thunderbolt and attack other stuff.

Okay okay okay okay, if Forretress is deadweight, then slap Metagross there. With a SD passed to it, Agility up and sweep. Life Orb will just add to the power.

I think that Forretress is a nice wall. Gyroball is not a bad move for it as it covers some weaknesses. If you want to see forretress and azelf in action, try watch Xerxes on youtube. Just search for 'Xerxes Pokemon battle' and you'll find his video's. Gengar nowadays do have focus blast and it does hurt Snorlax much. And adding Focus blast on your gengar would be nice aswell so it can't be walled by normal/dark types.
