Other Metagames RMT : Anything Goes (Darkrai Sweep)

Ghost (Darkrai) @ Wide Lens
Ability: Bad Dreams
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Void
- Dream Eater
- Calm Mind
- Substitute

My first pokemon is Darkrai. He has max speed to outspeed with dark void, then set up with calm mind. When this pokemon is thrown out, the usual way I go about things is to go for a dark void, (almost always lands dark void because of the wide lens accuracy boost) then set up my substitute and go for calm minds. If the opposing pokemon wakes up and breaks my substitute, I will use dark void, and get a new sub. When I get to however high I want to, I will dream eater and kill.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fear The Rattata (Rattata) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Hustle
Level: 1
IVs: 1 HP
- Endeavor
- Quick Attack
-

My next pokemon is going to be a F.E.A.R. set. Most of the time I will lead with this pokemon, and go for an endeavor. If the opponent attacks me on that turn, I will quick attack to finish him. Otherwise, I will switch out to use my Rattata later.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nurse Joy (Chansey) @ Red Card
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Serious Nature
- Heal Bell
- Soft-Boiled
- Recycle
- Attract

My third pokemon is Chansey. It's mostly here to take hits, mostly special ones, and to heal status effects. It's ability is natural cure, so I can switch it out if it gets put to sleep or paralyzed. It also has red card and recycle, mostly to stop sweepers.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wut (Scizor) @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn

This pokemon is here mainly for defog. It has bullet punch to handle fairies (as well as priority), U-Turn just for some switch out damage, and roost so it can live longer and wall fairies occasionally. Max HP and SpD also for walling fairies.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Draco (Rayquaza-Mega) @ Draco Plate
Ability: Delta Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Ascent
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance

Rayquaza is on the team as a powerful sweeper. It can mega evolve using dragon ascent, leaving it's item free for draco plate. Max Spe and Atk so it can OHKO most pokemon in the game, and any pokemon will take a hard hit from Rayquaza. Delta Stream also helps it live longer, so it can take a few more hits, giving it a good opportunity to set up dragon dance, making it even more deadly.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blade (Aegislash) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 156 Def / 96 SpD
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- King's Shield
- Night Slash
- Pursuit

Aegislash is here to hit hard with gyro ball (Hence, 0 Spe IVs), and kill pokemon that are trying to switch out with Pursuit. King's Shield for obvious reasons, and night slash is a filler move.

Hey BlazeBurn. While this technically qualifies as an AG team with megaray, most of the team really isn't viable for competitive use. None of the sets are particularly good, and rattata and regular scizor are wholly unviable. I recommend you check out the Anything Goes Resources Thread for a better idea of what works in the tier and some sample sets, as even the darkrai and ray sets aren't particularly good, I'll leave a sample rai set for you below though since you really shouldn't go for dream eater or calm mind. Welcome to smogon!

Darkrai @ Leftovers
Ability: Bad Dreams
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Void
- Dark Pulse
- Nasty Plot / Sludge Bomb (plenty of other moves can work here as well)
- Substitute

Hi, and welcome to Smogon! I'm afraid this thread will probably be locked because you need more description per Pokemon, but I'll still give it a rate while it's open. Megazard is right and I may be duplicating him some here as I started writing before I saw he had posted, but I'll keep it all here in case it proves useful.

-Calm Mind is generally a poor set-up move on Darkrai since Darkrai's suspect physical bulk makes Special Defense boosting a less useful benefit. Darkrai does have access to the more powerful Nasty Plot, which boosts special attack by twice as much. Also, if you choose to run a Darkrai with void/substitute/setup, Dark Pulse is a better attack because it is more powerful (since it has STAB) and does not rely on the opponent to be asleep. The loss in HP recovery can be remedied by holding leftovers, which is a better choice than Wide Lens as Wide Lens only gives a minor benefit to one move.

Also, your stated goal is to sweep with it, but you don't provide enough support for it to do so. This includes things like entry hazards and Pokemon that can deal with Darkrai's checks and counters (such as Diancie-Mega and Lum Berry Arceus)

-FEAR is a generally non-viable strategy due to its predictability and common ways of stopping it, including Taunt, Sacred Fire, Toxic, Mega Gengar, and many others.

-I would also change or replace Chansey. Chansey's only chance of being viable in AG is holding Eviolite, which tremendously increases your help, and you do not have. Even then, its viability is questionable. The very powerful threats in AG can also quite often OHKO Chansey before Red Card activates after enough set-up, making such a strategy also unreliable.

-Scizor is usable, I guess, but its low general defenses as well as power (especially when not holding Choice Band) means that it should only be used if your team has a very specific niche for it to fill, and I don't see such a use here. I especially don't see a use when this set is neither bulky enough nor powerful enough to accomplish much.

Dragon Dance Rayquaza is good, but Draco Meteor sees very little use on this Physical boosting set. Neither does Dragon Claw, which isn't a very powerful STAB attack and does not get much useful coverage. Because those too should be dropped, Draco Plate definitely should as well. A more helpful set would have an item such as Life Orb or Lum Berry and look something like DDance/DAscent and 2 out of Extreme Speed (Powerful priority) EQ (Great coverage), and Vcreate (Awesome power and some useful coverage).

Night Slash is near completely-redundant with Pursuit. Something like Sacred Sword could be more useful.
You also seem to be lacking in natures or appropriate natures for many of your Pokemon. The natures for Darkrai and Rayquaza-Mega are great, but the others need work. Especially Serious, which produces no change in a Pokemon's stats. Here's an explanation of the different natures by Bulbapedia. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Nature

I unfortunately must concur with Megazard that while your team has some pieces, it is largely unviable for competitive play. I would definitely suggest checking out the AG Resources Thread, located at http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/anything-goes-resources.3548945/
