The Breakdown

Spr_4d_286.png

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Nature: Impish
236HP/228Def/24Spe
Moveset
~Leech Seed/ThunderPunch/IcePunch
~Spore
~Focus Punch
~Subsitiute

Its basically your classic sub-punch set. I figured Breloom was a good reliable choice, and a great place to start for a team as it has been effective for the last 3 Generations. However I'm still on the fence about the first move slot, Leech Seed breaks stall teams, but punches give me type coverage noteably Jellicent with TPunch, which supports Heatran.

Spr_4d_485.png

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Calm
244Hp/32SpAtk/12SpDef/220Spe
Moveset
~Protect
~Subsitute
~Lava Plume
~Torment

Heatran is a good option Specially Defensive option as it's Flash Fire ability allows me to switch into Fire attacks aimed at Breloom. Torment allows me to stop oppents in which neither pokemon has the upper hand, and stops them from setting up. Subsitute allows to to psuedo-scout, and if I'm fast enough predict that ground type move, take the damage with my sub and then switch in with Scarf Flygon make use of Levitate and hit hard.

Spr_4d_330.png

Flygon @ Life Orb/Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Rash
252Atk/252SpAtk/4Spe
Moveset
~Earthquake
~Flamethrower/ThunderPunch
~Hiddenpower [Ice]
~U-turn

So Mixed flygon, yeah a bit gimmicky, frail, and rather unsual but oh how this thing w/ HP Ice has caught Many-a-Gliscor of guard. Without life orb it I'm afraid it wont hit hard enough, and I'm hoping to catch most people offguard thinking that it's Scarfed. It also pairs well with heatran and Breloom. Flamethrower over Thunderpunch, because I feel if I don't have two Special moves I'm not using the EV spread to its full advantage.

Spr_3f_113.png

Chansey @ Evolite
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Bold
252Hp/252Def/4Spe
~Toxic
~Wish
~Protect
~Seismic Toss

Spr_4h_227.png

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
252Hp/252Def/4Spe
Moveset
~Roost
~Whirlwind
~Brave Bird
~Spikes

At this point I'm lacking reliable defensive cores. Enter SkarmChanse. This basic combo has been around forever. Blissy most recently being taken over by its Predecessor Chansey thanks to Evolite is a great dedicated wall, as is Skarmory. They both support my team nicely, Skarmory with Spikes, and Chansey with Wish support.

145.png

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Lightningrod
Nature: Timid
220Hp/184SDef/104Spe
~Roost
~Toxic
~Subsitute
~Thunderbolt

So Zapdos at 104 speed lets me out run Jolly/252Spe/Gyrados before a DD, only to fry it with TBolt. Zapdos gives me further ground type immunity, just incase Flygon gets nerfed half way through the match. It also takes Special attacks aimed at Skarmory like nobodys buisness.

Conclusion: Making this short and sweet
I see my self having a lot of trouble with weather teams. Particularly Excadrill under sandstorm. I can see trouble arising if I lose chansey as she is really the only dedicated Special wall on my team. If there are any suggestions to helping me counter this weather issue that would be great. If I have to replace a pokemon it would either be Chansey or Zapdos unless another pokemon other wise suggested.

Right away I could see myself having trouble with pokemon like:
Excadrill
Mixed Infernape
Choice Band Azumarill
and others depending on which pokemon I lose during the course of the battle and what not.

If there are any Threats that you see being able to penetrate my team PLEASE post them. I'm still quite new to the Metagame, and it would be greatly appreciated as my knowledge is not extensive enough to COMPLETE a full Threat list my self.

SkarmBliss (well skarmsey) is still a very strong defensive core , so its a good basis.
Your team seems to be very stall-based. But that isnt bad on its own.
As for flygon , beeing a mixed attacker he is outclassed by his no-longer banned big brother Salamance , i would switch it to a mixmence as they are epic wallbreakers.
With salamance in the team , you wont need leech seed on the breloom and can use any of the punches OR seed bomb (80 BP grass move , aint bad and will probably OHKO jelli's )

Breloom doesn't get Ice Punch, so just opt for Stone Edge.
Id you want to run Mixed Scarf Flygon, try Dragon Claw/EQ/Fire Blast/SE

Regarding Excadrill, why not give Breloom Mach Punch?

That Flygon is a lure for Gliscor, why not have someone who can abuse the absence of Gliscor on the team besides Breloom? It appears Zapdos' main assignment is to check Gyarados. Perhaps replace it with a double dance Air Balloon Terrakion, who can wreak havoc with the purple scorpion out of the picture, check Excadrill, and defeat Gyarados all in the same package :)

Terrakion @ Air Balloon
Justified
Jolly
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
Swords Dance
Rock Polish
Close Combat
Stone Edge

As this is called 'bringing back the basics' , i think he would like to keep it 4th gen pokemons with 5th gen abilities or something :P
If not , terrakion would work indeed.

I've got a couple suggestions.

salamence.png

Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Naive
EVs: 116atk/216Satk/178spd
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast
-Brick Break/Earthquake
-Roost/Outrage
Salamence also lures Gliscors, but has better stats than Flygon and is a better Pokemon overall. Use Earthquake only if Outrage is used in the last slot, because pink blobs will wall you otherwise.

breloom.png

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4hp/252atk/252spd
-Spore
-Facade/Stone Edge
-Seed Bomb
-Mach Punch
This guy lets you keep Breloom and kill Excadrill at the same time... BOOM!

Have you ever considered using Jellicent? I highly suggest the use of the mustache'd wonder because it provides your team with a Water-type to further improve synergy, provides you with a spinblocker, and also having the ability to wall both Infernape and Azumarill to hell and back. Using a Bold (+Def, -Atk)nature along with an EV spread of 248 HP / 176 Def / 84 Spd gives you a nice amount of bulk and also lets you outspeed Skarmory (along with the other members on stall teams) and cripple it with Taunt. The rest of the moveset is Scald / Toxic / Recover with Leftovers as the item. My suggestion is that you replace Chansey since my next piece of advice will help to make up for the loss of some special bulk.

TormenTran honestly isn't doing anything beneficial for your team seeing how you aren't running T-Spikes so there's no reason to not change the set. Why not try out a Specially Defensive Heatran instead? This set has room to run Stealth Rock which will make sure that not even the Pokemon immune to Spikes are safe from taking damage on the switch. You can also run Roar if you choose to phaze away any boosts that your opponent may have while also giving you a way to take full advantage of Spikes. Here's the set:

Heatran @ Leftovers l Calm l 248 HP / 252 SDef / 8 Spd
Lava Plume l Stealth Rock l Protect l Roar / Toxic

Flygon should not be running that set and honestly you should just replace it with Choice Scarf Landorus who can do everything Flygon can but better. It has a single extra base point of speed and while this may not seem like much it ensures that you won't lose a speed tie against +1 Volcarona. It also has the merit of having higher offensive stats which obviously makes it a better mixed sweeper. You should run a Naive (+Spd, -SDef)nature, EV spread of 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd, and a moveset of Earthquake / Stone Edge / U-Turn / Hidden Power [Ice].

Finally, if you're going to use Leech Seed instead of another offensive more on Breloom then you're fine with that spread but if you want an offensive move then use an Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk) nature and EV spread of 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd. You should also use Seed Bomb instead of T-Punch because it hits the same things for "super-effective" damage and has the added bonus of getting the STAB boost. Just a few suggestions that'll help you out. Good team and good luck.

I like the sound of Salamence. It allows me to keep that Ground immunity.
Jellicent sounds like a wonderful edition and also is one I had not considerd.
Also the Specially defensive Heatran seems like a good change as well.
With a new breloom set I'm be able to counter the ever so annoying Excadrill as well.

Thanks to all who have suggested team changes moves sets, etc. I Greatly appreciate your time and effort into helping me out.

Just so you know, your Chansey is pure set up bait for Whimsicott, plus I agree with replacing Flygon for Landorus.. Otherwise, this team is pretty cool.
