RMT: Call Your Friends (My First Team)

I name the thread Call Your Friends because I didn't know what to name it and then I saw other threads posting album names as the thread names. Guess that gave me my inspiration? BEST BAND EVER BTW!

Ever since x and y came out, I have always wanted to create a team. I spent 1 weeks reading up on competitive. After that, I being to IV breed all of my 6 Pokemons and training them all to level 100 with suitable EVs being maxed out.

My team is a really simple team.

1. Froslass @ Focus Stash
Trait: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Nature: Timid
Moves:
-Ice Beam
-Taunt
-Spikes
-Destiny Bond

Froslass is my lead Pokemon, depending on the pokemon, I will try to disable them as set up as many spikes as possible, before bringing the pokemon down with me. Ice beam is for dragon type pokemon, doing STAB damage as well as super effective (with a chance to freeze). Taunt is when the opponent uses pokemons like ferrothorn who lay down entry hazards. Spikes is used whenever possible. Destiny bond is used in order to bring the other pokemon down with me.

2. Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Nature: Adamant
Moves:
-Earthquake
-Blizzard
-Stealth Rock
-Icicle Crash

Mamoswine is my next pokemon in the list. I found mamoswine to be a very good tanker as well as tricking the very common Blaziken users to use fire moves on him, only to find them to be not effective. The main role of Mamoswine is to set up a Stealth Rock, before switching him into another pokemon that gives me an advantage, forcing the opponent to switch out, taking damage from the hazards. Earthquake is to deal with pesky Blaziken and the annoying Aegislash. Blizzard and icicle crash are used on dragon types to bring them down as well.

3. Azumarill @ Leftovers
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk/ 4 Spd
Nature: Adamant
Moves:
-Aqua Jet
-Play Rough
-Belly Drum
-Superpower

Azumarill is probably my main sweeper. Using Belly Drum and Aqua Jet, it literally kills everything in one hit. With his new fairy type, Azumarill not only is effective at killing the average pokemons but the pseudo-legendary dragons with ease. Superpower is to deal with the pain in the ass physical walls such as Chansey with evolite and etc.

4. Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Nature: Adamant
Moves:
-Outrage
-Dragon Dance
-Fire Punch
-Earthquake

Dragonite in X and Y works AMAZINGLY with Weakness Policy. Using Dragon Dance on the first turn gives it +1 to its attack. Since the introduction of Fairy Type, almost every team have an ice or fairy type move. Using these attacks allows the weakness policy to activate as long as they do not have attack boosting stats. This gives Dragonite a +3 in attack with will kill off anything in his path. Outrage is the main attacking move I use. Fire Punch is to deal with Scizors and Earthquake for Fairy types as well as Blaziken + Aegislash.

5. Scizor @ Scizorite
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Sp.Def
Nature: Adamant
Moves:
-Bullet Punch
-Swords Dance
-U-turn
-Roost

Scizor is my revenge killer. Using sword dance on the first turn before using the priority move Bullet Punch deals massive amount of damage (STAB, +2 from Sword Dance, Mega Evolution, Technician). U-turn is there to escape from any fire pokemon and roost is to heal if his HP gets too low.

6. Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 32 Def / 4 Sp.Atk / 224 Spd
Nature: Timid
Moves:
-Recover
-Psyshock
-Scald
-Rapid Spin

Starmie is my spinner, removing all the hazards on the field. Using Recover and Natural cure, it is able to last the whole game. Psyshock is there to deal with gengar which locks it down. Scald is his STAB move which have decent power as well as a chance to burn.

I build my team around its weaknesses. For my whole team, there is no more than 2 of the same type weaknesses. This allows me to switch around my pokemon as I want.

Problems:
1. I have way too many physical attackers. Currently having trouble as long as I can't set up the hazards or if they get removed.

2. My team can't deal with Sword Dance, Dragon Dance, Shell Smash builds. They can't seem to inflict enough damage nor able to withstand the boosted attack.

3. Some of the pokemon die way too fast. (Mainly Scizor)

4. The team seems to be not working out. Doesn't seem to revolve around a concept (like trick room or volt switch)

Current Ideas:
1. Change 1 or 2 Pokemon.
2. Change the whole team.

Thanks for reading :) I really appreciate it. As you can see, my team seems to be missing something. Any constructive feedback would be helpful :) I wouldn't mind changing one or two pokemons or even the whole team itself.

First off, I would always use some pictures in your Rate-My-Team, so the Thread looks better.
After looking at your team for a while. I saw that it has many issues dealing with priority moves and boosted (as you already mentioned) pokemon.
It looks like a Offensive team so I will tell you some pokes that you might prefer.

1. Deoxys-Speed over Froslass.
Deoxys-Speed is one of the best leads and its the fastest poke in the entire metagame, being able to outspeed and OHKO Genesect and other fast pokemon, while still being able to set up hazards or taunt.

Deoxys-Speed @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Fire Punch

2. Gengar over Mamoswine.
Gengar still makes a potent offensive threat in the sixth generation thanks to its power, unpredictability, and excellent offensive movepool. Its set of immunities help it switch into common moves with impunity, giving it ample opportunities to come in and wreak havoc. Despite Gengar's positive traits as a sweeper, it does have two notable drawbacks: its paper-thin defensive stats, which make it take massive damage even from neutral attacks, and its weakness to Dark-type moves, which leaves it vulnerable to Pursuit if it isn't hiding behind a Substitute. Mega Gengar is a very powerful threat to most teams, because of it's insane amount of speed and it's shadow tag ability. Trapping pokemon is just too good. You also want to stop your opponent from rapid spinning your hazards. Be careful of Defog tho.

Gengar (M) @ Gengarite
Ability: Levitate -----> Shadow Tag
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Disable
- Substitute

3. Rotom-W over Azumarill
Rotom-W is one of the best, if not the best water-type pokemon in the current metagame It stops every possible pokemon and it also stops Dragon Dancers/Sword Dancers/Shell Smashers by using Will-O-Wisp. It easily counterkills Talonflame (which is a dangerous threat to most teams) and it also stops other water-types.

Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf / Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd or 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef or 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def
Modest Nature / Bold Nature / Calm Nature
- Trick / Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Choice Scarf to outspeed other pokemons and trick to stop annoying walls like Blissey or Skarmory.

The last 2 changes I would make is.. change the movesets of Dragonite and Scizor.
149.png

Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 240 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake / Fire Punch
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Dragon Claw / Outrage

212.png

Scizor (M) @ Life Orb / Leftovers / Iron Plate
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Roost

Good Luck with your team and give these changes a try!

I see that putting in rotom-w, my team seems to be viable for a volt switch / u-turn team. Since i have quite abit of entry hazards, do you think i will be able change it into a volt switch team? if so, what other pokemons should i consider?

And for the deoxys, since pokemon bank is not out yet :( I wont be able to get it :P
