[RMT] Charizard Y Team

Hi! This is gonna be my first RMT. I'm bad with the introductions and stuff so let's just get to the team...

images

Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- SolarBeam
- Focus Blast
- Roost

As the "name" of the team suggests, Charizard Y is the star of the team. This thing is a monster. Off the top of my head, only the blobs can completely wall it. I don't feel like i need to explain fire blast, but solar beam kills water types, while focus blast 2hkos specially defensive Heatran and TTar in sand. I have roost to recover health from SR damage should Excadrill die. I used to run hp ice instead of roost but apparently that's bad.

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

I love this thing. Thinking about it now, I think I've used him on at least half of my teams. Excadrill is my spinner for this team, and a scary sweeper once TTar sets up sand, outspeeding and killing/heavily damaging threats like opposing Zard y on the turn it mega evolves,, +1 Zard x, and Deo-S. It can even live BB from Talonflame and then kill it with rock slide :D.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SAtk / 252 SDef
Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake

As much as I love Excadrill, sweeping power like his would be impossible without the sand TTar provides. TTar is my main way of dealing with Talonflame, and my source of stealth rocks. It can kill Heatran with eq, kill Gliscor and cripple Lando with ice beam, and pursuit trap Lati@s with well, pursuit.

images

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 120 HP / 136 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch

Just a standard conkeldurr set, nothing to see here. I put Conkeldurr on the team mainly to deal with Chansey, but it is also the status absorber for my team. Drain punch is it's main STAB and it's form of recovery, mach punch for priority, and knock off and ice punch for coverage.

images

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Healing Wish

I know a lot of Latios use LO defog sets now, but since i already have Excadrill for hazard removal i thought i'd use the specs set. edit: switched Latios for Latias. I decided to use Latias because i noticed i had bit of a fighting weakness at this point. Psyshock is it's main STAB and for the blobs and fighting types. Draco Meteor can nuke most of anything that tries to switch in to it, and thunderbolt is it's coverage move of choice due to my Azumarill weakness. Healing Wish can be used for when Latias is a low health or is just not needed to heal a weakened teammate and get a free switch in

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [ice]

I don't see ScarfTran very often, and it's a mystery why to me. This thing is an amazing revenge killer. It can kill weakened dragons with HP ice, opposing Heatran with ep, ice type Greninja and weakened cube with flash cannon, and a large amount of other pokemon with fire blast. IVS are set to 30/30 for hp ice

On a side note, i noticed this team has trouble with breloom and belly drum azumarill

Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y

Conkeldurr (M) @ Assault Vest

Hi ShadowFerretofDOOM, this is a pretty well constructed team.
The Charizard EVs are perfect and so is the moveset.
Excadrill should be a Jolly nature though, since it is your only means to get rid of hazards. Also, Deoxys-Speed outspeeds adamant excadrill, while Jolly nature excadrill outspeeds Deoxys-Speed.
Tyranitar is fine, but I suggest replacing it with Eviolite Chansey, which better suits your team which is weak to Greninja once Tyranitar and Conkeldurr are fainted by the opponent's talonflame. (Banded with uturn)
However, conkeldurr's evs should be something like 120 HP and 136 SpD, in order to survive most physical and special attacks.
Latios is fine.
For heatran, i usually place ancient power over hp grass, but i suppose it is good and fine too.
Overall a good team, but watch out for talonflames! (And mega mawiles)

It looks fine and I'll have to disagree with replacing Ttar for Chansey. Sand Rush Excadrill has no problem handling Greninja when the sand is up and with Adamant nature + Sand you still outrun Deoxys Speed so it can save you from a potential sweep by it. The only issue I have with Latios Specs is your logic behind it in terms of messing up Chansey and what not. Conkeldurr can already handle it as well as Excadrill. If anything I would suggest to use Latias > Latios with a set such as this and the reason below it.
Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Thunderbolt
- Healing Wish
Normally Defog would be where Thunderbolt is but since you have hazard removal you can opt to use Thunderbolt to handle mons such as Azumarill and Skarmory more efficiently. Psyshock hits the blobs and specially defensive walls in general. Draco Meteor is very strong stab for Latias, hits things like Quagsire and Gliscor pretty hard. Healing Wish is the last move and it's important to give something like Tyranitar a full recovery boost to keep it up and maintain sand for Excadrill or free restoration for any weakened mon late in the game when Latias is about to be KO'd.

That's all I had to say, good luck.

188000 post in rmt forum :3
I suggest smooth rock on ttar, other than that very nice team. Also consider tbolt in place of surfon Latios for bd azumarill.

Hi, nice team but I would just like to add that if zard goes down, BellyAzu can rip this team apart. Even if Zard is up, a +6 Aqua Jet brings it and everyone else for good.

For conkledurr the ev spread should be adamant 252 attack 252 sp def and 4 in def because you want to recover as much as possible from drain punches and therefore if you invest in hp you recover less.

You must be confusing percentages with actual values. Let's say I have two Conkeldurrs, one with 100 HP and another with 200 HP. Both of their Drain Punches will deal, say, 50 damage. The first one recovers 50% which is 50 HP while the second one recovers 25% but still 50 HP.

Yea my mistake I'm so used to showdown using percentage that I don't even go by actual hit points anymore lol
