RMT for a semi-beginner

Hey everyone! I'm new to smogon, and competitive battleling (I started near the end of 4th gen). Anyways, I just wanted to post my team for rating, for suggestions, ect. So here it is:

Aerodactly @ focus sash
Nature: Jolly Evs: 252 atk 252 spe 4 def
Pressure
Taunt
Rock slide
Earthquake
Stealth rock

The set that made Aerodactly famous in 4th gen. I was having trouble with leads like skarmory and ferrothorn, and my old lead could set up stealth rock, but let those leads set up. I haven't had too much trouble with spinners.

Serperior @ Life orb
Nature Timid Evs: 252 sp atk 252 spe 4 def
Contrary
Leaf storm
Hidden power [fire]
Reflect
Light screen

This is meant to use serperior's great dream world ability to pull off massive sweeps. Leaf storm works stupid well with contrary, giving it a BOOST instead of lowering Satk. hp [fire] is for coverage, but it leaves heatran as a wall, even at +6. Light screen and reflect were more filler, but it makes it pretty bulky and can support the rest of the team.

Reuniclus @ life orb
Nature Quiet Evs: 252 Hp 4 def 252 sp atk
Magic guard
Trick room
Psyshock
Focus blast
Hidden power [fire]

Trick room Reuniclus. This thing comes in, sets up trick room, and gets to a sweep. Psyshock covers blissey, focus blast for ttar, and hidden power [fire] helps cover scissor, a big counter to it, Genosect, who i hate alot, and ferrothorn.

Blaziken @ life orb
Nature Hasty Evs: 252 atk 252 spe 4 def
Speed boost
Flare blitz
Brave bird
Brick break
Protect

You ever heard of a suicide sweeper? That's what this blaziken is. Protect allows it a turn of speed boost, and life orb for added power. But with two recoil moves AND life orb, blaziken won't last long, but it does alot of damage while it still is alive.

Tyranitar @ Choice band
Nature Jolly Evs 252 atk 252 spe 4 def
Sand stream
Stone edge
Earthquake
Crunch
Pursuit

ttar is a hit-and-run player - like most choiced pokemon. stone edge and earthquake for type coverage and crunch for a good stab. Pursuit makes it a trapper. But it's main role is to set up sandstorm for excadrill to sweep with sand rush.

Excadrill @ life orb (did i over do it with life orb?)
Nature Jolly Evs 252 atk 252 spe 4 def
Sand rush
Earthquake
Rock slide
Swords dance
X-scissor

Excadrill is meant (spell fail) to take advantage of ttar's sandstorm. Sand rush boosts it's speed, and swords dance makes it a very potent sweeper. Rock slide is for the flinch hax, Earthquake is for stab and type coverage next to rock slide, and X-scissor for extra type coverage.

Well, that's my team! Hope you like it.

*This is a repost because my other one wasn't descriptive enough.

1. Leftovers for durability or Ballon (not sure how to spell lol) for Ecadrill. Ballon allows you to switch in on other Excadrills and anything using Earthquake.

2. No Trick Room Reuniclus. Serperior, Aerodactyl, and Blaziken after speed boost are all going to go last deffinetly with the Ev spreads they have. Reuniclus is the only one that takes advantage of it so either change EV spreads on the other Pokes, replace Serperior, Aerodactyl, and Blaziken (not recomended), or lost Reuniclus for something else (Not sure what you could run but this is the best option).

I appreciate the suggestions, but I'm only using the first. 1. aero is my lead and won't get affected by tr and neither will the others cause i send them in either before reun or after tr wears off (which normally happens before reun faints). Also *balloon

Adamant Excadrill is actually quite good since 1) with LO it kills Gliscor with Return or Ferrothorn with EQ and 2) with Balloon you can have more power without worrying about Excadrill speed tying.

The conventional Lead battle is dead. Mid game rocks are much more important. You could consider using something other than Aerodactyl which has more utility throughout..

Other than that descriptions are extremely lacking.. Your probably going to get this thread locked at some point...

Hello! This team has a LOT of problems, but all of that can be fixed. I'll just point a few things out:

I was having trouble with leads like skarmory and ferrothorn, and my old lead could set up stealth rock, but let those leads set up.

First off, there are no real leads in Gen5. I have tried doing stuff like that before, and all it did was make me not get passed 1100 CRE.

What I recommend you to do is scrap the Aero lead thing completely.

Second,

Serperior @ Life orb
Nature Timid Evs: 252 sp atk 252 spe 4 def
Contrary
Leaf storm
Hidden power [fire]
Reflect
Light screen

Not only is this set walled by Heatran, but I don't think Contrary is even released. If you're using any Hidden Power at all, it should be Ground, or Ice, but your team deals well with Heatran, so I'm thinking Ice is a better option even though you have the common dragons covered, sort of.

As for the rest of your team, I am seeing a HUGE Excadrill weakness after Blaziken is down, and since you have both sandstorm and Life Orb as well as Flare Blitz and Brave Bird (which should be replaced by Stone Edge), Blaziken won't last long. And for this reason, I recommend you use a Gliscor over Aero because there aren't such things as true leads in this Gen.

name: Defensive
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Toxic
move 3: Taunt / Protect
move 4: Ice Fang / Facade
item: Toxic Orb
ability: Poison Heal
nature: Impish
evs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe

Also,

This thing comes in, sets up trick room, and gets to a sweep. Psyshock covers blissey...

Most of your team already deals with Bliss quite nicely, and Bliss usually comes in around the time you would send your Blaziken out. Consider Psychic over Psyshock, and you shouldn't Trick Room before Bliss is out anyway, but this is just my opinion.

You can also try this set for Tyranitar if you want any hazards up:

name: MixTar
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Crunch
move 3: Fire Blast
move 4: Ice Beam / Superpower
item: Leftovers
nature: Sassy
evs: 252 HP / 180 SpA / 76 SpD

Lastly, Air Balloon over Life Orb on your Excadrill because most of the things that will be sent out will most likely die to a boosted anything after hazard damage (unless it's a counter/check) and not only that, but it forces the opponent to go for the Fire attack, which makes you switch into Blaziken if it's still around, or Fighting attack, which makes you switch into Gliscor or Reuniclus depending on the situation.

In conclusion, if you possibly replace some things in your team, you are good to go, this is all in all a pretty decent team. Good luck!

thx alot

wow thank you for all the great advice. But if you read the earlier posts i already changed excadrill's item to air balloon.
