RMT: Fun And Games!

This team was not made for competitive battle, but for instead made to have lots of fun with my oponent. I will greatly appreacite any defects and any help needed to make it a better team and be able to actually play on the ladder. Now let us proceed to my team Note: This team was made strictly for shoddybattle.

Team in depth:

dpmba376.png

Metagross (L100) Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 208 HP/76 Atk/224 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Stealth Rock

My favorite lead metagross.Metagross gets his job done 90% of time. Against leads like Infernape with this evs it will live their Fire Blast 100% of the time making me able to use earthquake and the kill them with Bullet Punch if they had carried a sash. Meteor Smash + Bullet Punch takes those frail Suicide Leads before they can go BOOM. Against slower leads like Hippodown I lay Stealth Rock and then proceed to switch to my next pokemon.

Gyarados (L100) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang

This is my first Dragon Dancer in the team. With one Dragon Dance I 2OHKO the mighty steel bird, skarmory. The flinch chance of waterfall should be never let down as with 1 Dragon Dance it will surely help. Jolly Nature is a must and I won't change it since most Jolteon's come in while I Dragon Dance and still expect me to be slower than them. Stone Edge is for coverage against other Gyarados or Salamence. Ice Fangs hits Choice Banded Flygon and is my only way of dealing moderate damage against celebi.
---
dpmba230.png

Kingdra (L100) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 240 Atk/16 Spd/252 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Draco Meteor
- Waterfall
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump

Now I needed a pokemon that could break through common walls and a weather changer so smeargle could take its roll. Hydro Pump in the rain OHKOes Skarmory, Bronzong, Hippodown, and has a chance of OHKOing Swampert. Waterfall is there for Blissey and friends whoo think they can take a walk in the park out with my Kingdra. Draco Meteor is there for Bulky Waters and takes around 75% out of a normal Suicune before a calm mind and around 60% out of vaporeon's HP.
---
dpmba373.png

Salamence (L100) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk/252 Spd/24 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage

My other deadly dancer, Salamence. Most pokemon scream in fear at its sight and run away. I choose Naive nature to at least tie with other base 100 positive speed nature pokemon, such as Flygon or Jirachi that could prove deadly to my sweep. Yet another pokemon that is Stealth Rock weak. Scizor is not a problem since Donphan can take its Bullet Punches all day, Rapid Spin and hurt it with STAB Earthquake. If my last pokemon has not yet been revealed I will either swicth to Gyarados and dent some damage on scizor or switch to Donphan. STAB Outrage hurts everything not resistant to it. Earthquake and Fire Blast are there to take care of Skarmory and Heatren.

dpmba232.png

Donphan (L100) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

My Rapid Spinner. Having two pokemon Stealth Rock weak and having my last pokemon have a Focus Sash, ment I obviously needed a spinner. This is the standard wall and my main pokemon I switch to when I see Scizor lurking around. It is a great wall and should not be understimated. It serves its purpose on most of the games.
---
dpmba235.png

Smeargle (L1) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: None
Nature: Docile ( Neutral)
- Dragon Rage
- Trick Room
- Spore
- Endeavor

Now to the star of the Show, Smeargle! Yes you heard my right, and no you are not seeing things smeargle is my last and most unpredictable pokemon. Yes he is Level One and for a good reason. I bring in smeargle on any pokemon I know will attack me for sure. First Turn I set up Trick Room. Then Spore them. I then Endeavor bringing them to 1 HP and then use Dragon Rage. This Cycle only wastes 4 turns of the 5 Trick Room takes so I could repeat the cycle another times except using Spore first then use Trick Room. No EVs are needed as he is level one. Nature is also uneeded.
---

Conclusion: I built the team around one of the most unpredictable pokemon smeargle. And for this reason I needed a Spinner and a Weather Changer. Donphan and Kingdra fit the job. I needed two offensive pokemon that could destroy Defensive walls, Gyarados and Salamence surged from there. Stealth Rock is needed in most games and thats why I brought my favorite lead, Metagross.

Threats: I was thinking what could counter Smeargle I had weather changers already taken care of. Entry hazards were disposed by Donphan. So I tought, what pokemon could also counter smeargle? Priority users. Lucario and Scizor being the most common of all and both being physically offensive on the most part I choose 2 Intimidaters that could take care of them. Gyarados especially handling scizor since it resists his attack, and Salamence taking care of Lucario before it Sword Dances, since he is resistant to his 120 Base Power STAB attack, Close Combat.

Now I'm done with my team now it's your turn to help me get it better. Have a nice day and please RMT.

Metagross (L100) Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 208 HP/76 Atk/224 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Stealth Rock

Are you sure it's 100% of the time? Because a STAB Fire Blast coming off a 104 stat vs. an 80/90 (HP/SpD) and being weak to it... That's a really hard thing to counter, but if it's 100% of the time, then that's a pretty good EV spread. The only problem is that, did you account for SR, and possibly Spikes? Not much else to say here.

Gyarados (L100) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Ice FangConsider EQ over Ice Fang, as Ice Fang and Stone Edge are sort of redundant, or you can replace Ice Fang over Stone Edge and put EQ as the last move. Although, QuakEdge is worth using.

dpmba230.png

Kingdra (L100) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 240 Atk/16 Spd/252 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Draco Meteor
- Waterfall
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump
If you're going through all the trouble of changing weather, you should've began with an RD team, but none the less, you should go double dance here. RD/DD/Outrage/Waterfall. But, if you don't like that, then change Life Orb to Leftovers. You don't want your only Weather Changer to die when the opponent still has their Hippowdon close at hand.---
dpmba373.png

Salamence (L100) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk/252 Spd/24 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage
MixMence. Nothing wrong with this set, but if you plan on using Life Orb, then you must keep Donphan at a relatively high health, as SS + SR + LO rack up damage pretty quickly.
---
dpmba232.png

Donphan (L100) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Rapid Spinner Donphan. Very classic here. But might I suggest Stone Edge over EQ. The only possibly time you'll need Ice Fang is against enemy Outrages, where as you have Gyarados and Salamence to stop them. Just something to consider.

dpmba235.png

Smeargle (L1) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: None
Nature: Docile ( Neutral)
- Dragon Rage
- Trick Room
- Spore
- Endeavor

This is possibly the most random Pokemon I've ever seen. Trick Room + RD shouldn't be used together. Because if you Trick Room, Kingdra's gonna have a hard time sweeping. I recommend you change this to P2 or a ScarfPZ. You lack Special Sweepers, and bulky Pokemon screw this team over. But if you do keep Smeargle, then put 252 HP/252 Defense on here, or 252 HP/252 (Sp)Attack on here, depending on whether Dragon Rage is Physical or not. But you should use Bullet Punch/priority move here. Bullet Punch is best here, so Ghosts don't wall you, not to mention, that Priority moves ruin Smeargle. Also, a -Speed Nature like Brave should be used, so you can use Trick Room more efficiently. Just a few thoughts.

Good Luck, but Smeargle is too gimmicky.

Metagross is my starter he never gets touched by entry hazards, and thats why I have Donphan to take care of him. Gyarados needs Ice Fang as celebi is a major threat and Salamence won OHKO it. Also flinch chance plus freeze chance works. Smeargle is Level 1. He has no needs for Evs as his atatcks stats are 5. Dragon Rage Always does 40 damage so even if recovery life leftovers was in place it would probably die. It's speed is miserable since it a level one pokemon, and yes he is random. Kingdra could take care of Sandstorm, Donphan takes entry hazards out. I have been considering putting explosion instead of earthquake as that would be the only way i could get rid of Hippodown and change the weather with Kingdra. I show smeargle at end when there is no hazards or i know there priority usersis dead. Kingdra is there for an individual sweeper that could change the wather. Thanks anyways

Dragon Rage isn't priority, they could be saving their Scizor till the end, so you should watch out for that. I really recommend Bullet Punch on Smeargle. You should also consider putting 252 Attack EVs on Smeargle should you use Bullet Punch. It may sound like I'm forcing you, but some people keep some Pokes hidden. Not to mention all the Choice Scarves all over the place.

Well, i certainly agree with you about the scizor, Trick Room takes care of those scarfed pokemon and allows me to go first.
