RMT Geki's Team

My team is completely open to suggestions/changes. All criticism is welcome :)

625.png

11-Bravo (Bisharp) @ Life Orb/Expert Belt
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 140 Def / 116 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Pursuit
- Sucker Punch

Standard Bisharp set. I'd personally run Expert Belt because I'm one of those guys that gets pained in the heart when I see my mon's HP whittle away... I named him after the Infantry MOS of the US Army: 11-Bravo.

637.png

155-Foxtrot (Volcarona) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Bug Buzz
- Quiver Dance
- Giga Drain

This is probably the most subject to change. Right now, it's a set that I kind of threw together to check Rotom-Wash and setup QDs on people. 155-Foxtrot is fixed wing aircraft pilot in the US Army.

227.png

18-Alpha (Skarmory) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Rock Slide

Went with skarmory to help with the 24% damage mandibuzz gets when i need to switch for a defog. As much as i wanted to put taunt or toxic or something on skarm, i had to go with rock slide to check fire types and counter flying.

3-mega-f.png

74-Delta (Venusaur) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Leech Seed/Swords Dance
- Giga Drain

This is a pretty "common" stall-saur set I'd say. 74-Delta is a Chemical, Biological, Radioactive, and Nuclear specialist. All of which Venusaur is good against.

386-defense.png

19-Kilo (Deoxys-Defense) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 132 SDef / 124 Def
Impish Nature
- Thunder Punch
- Toxic
- Recover
- Magic Coat

Thunder Punch is really only to check flying types and toxic is annoying. Recover for HP restore and MC for leads. 19-Kilo is a tank crewman, which DD is a great tank.

445.png

19-Delta (Garchomp) @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Dragon Rush
Switched Outrage for Dragon Rush because I don't like confusion and all that BS. STAB Earthquake to deal with Bisharps and other steel or fire types. Crunch for Aegislash counter, iron head for fairy check. 19-Delta is a Cavalry Scout, which is what I plan on using Garchomp for, scouting.

I really need opinions on Volcarona of all things. Thanks for the rates!
PS: I keep forgetting to share my battle vids on this thread XD. I'll post some when I get some.

This is just a quick glance, but rocks will hurt your team a lot. Trying using defog on latias. If you can't get a defog latias, trying adding a spinner on your team. As for iron defense on aegislash, never used it before, but from experience, aegislash is only going to have 1-2 turns in unless its late game and you can shadow sneak everything (very unlikely). A better option for Aegislash is the wallbreaker set.

Aegislash @ Spooky Plate
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Shadow Sneak
- King's shield.
- Sacred Sword

This set breaks alot of walls and king's shield is there to scout and or lock pokes in if they are carrying a choice item.

Also, it's not really recommend to run double status moves on one pokes to try replacing t-wave for volt-switch as a way to gain momentum in battle.

Your team might need quite a reworking, though the pokemon themselves are alright, the movesets aren't that good tbh .-. (Sorry if I did sound harsh).
So let's start with the fixing anyways:
  • I'd consider either thunderbolt or volt switch on Rotom-heat, depending on what you prefer between power or momentum (though I'd really suggest volt switch) and make it physically defensive (252 HP/ 252 Def with Bold Nature with Leftovers or Chesto Berry + Rest and 0 Atk IVs for weaker Foul Plays) so it could take hits from Talonflame (having a Talonflame counter is always handy).
  • Pinsir should be Jolly instead of Adamant so it can at least speed tie with your opponent's Pinsir and not get murdered by quick attack and also outpace other base 100 speed pokemon and non scarfed Garchomp; I'd replace X scissor with quick attack considering X scissor is barely even useful as a stab move and aerilate quick attack is partly why Pinsir is so popular (flying 1.3x boosted + STAB priority is pretty nice uh). Also that set would be entirely walled by aegislash, which isn't really a good thing, so I'd replace storm throw with Earthquake, which would hurt a majority of the threats in the meta such as Heatran, Bisharp, Aegislash and let you hurt a Tyranitar switch in. Also run Frustration (with min Happiness) over Return, just in case your opponent has a Ditto y'know.
  • Choice Banded freeze shock on Kyurem-B is overkill and is barely of any use for your team (considering you're also running rock wrecker on Rhyperior, having 2 moves with a cooldown could pretty much end up making Rhyperior and Kyurem-B setup bait for stuff like bisharp), so I'd suggest a different set like:
    Kyurem-Black
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Teravolt
    EVs: 56 HP / 216 S.Atk / 236 Spe
    Mild Nature
    - Substitute
    - Fusion Bolt
    - Ice Beam
    - Earth Power
56 HP lets you sit behind 101 HP substitutes which can't be broken by just 1 seismic toss, Fusion Bolt will be your main physical move, hitting Azumarill, Gyarados and Keldeo and other pokemon for quite the damage, ice beam will be your main stab, denting Gliscor (no more Gliscor issues yay!), just about any dragon type and flying type like Dragonite, Mandibuzz and Zapdos (this really helps your team, considering Zapdos pretty much walls Mega Pinsir), and should also cleanly 2hko Skarmory without any problem. Earth power lets you get rid of Heatran and Rotom-w (thanks to Teravolt) and also deal with steel types in ou in general.
  • I'm not really sure as to why you're using rhyperior, but well if you really like using it then why not, considering it can deal with Mega Charizard X, mega Pinsir and Talonflame and pretty much any physical threat that isn't water or grass, so it's not so useless lol; I'd ditch the AV for lefties, since it doesn't have any form of recovery, Leftovers are always welcome. Get rid of Rock Wrecker for Stone Edge or Rock Slide (accuracy vs power, you choose), Power up punch seems like an interesting move on Rhyperior, so why not, let's keep it, as for poison jab, you could replace it with Ice Punch, so you get to nail incoming grass types that aren't mega Venusaur and 2HKO Gliscor (252+ Atk Rhyperior Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 184+ Def Gliscor: 248-292 (70 - 82.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal). Then again, if you want to use a better rock type pokemon, you could use this:
    Terrakion
    Item: Choice Scarf
    Ability: Justified
    EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Close Combat
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Quick Attack/X scissors/anything you want, really(!)
Good 'ole Terrakion has decent synergy with Aegislash and Latias, letting it take a knock off from common users such as Bisharp (Conkeldurr can be dealt with using Pinsir) or random Dark pulses from users like Greninja and Lucario, or Crunch from users like Tyranitar and again Lucario. Close Combat and Stone edge (or Rock Slide if you prefer) are the 2 main stabs that will hurt anything that don't resist them, Earthquake is for predicted Aegislash switch ins, and the last slot could be anything you want, you could even include Rock Polish for those times that you get your Scarf Knocked off and feel like a Speed boost wouldn't be half bad (though it's quite gimmicky :P).
  • King's Rock flinch chance doesn't stack with Iron head .-., also considering Aegislash is as fast as Greece's current economic growth, you barely will get the chance to flinch stuff. Iron defense will barely help you, considering most people would just Will O Wisp Aegislash straight away, pretty much crippling your Aegislash and making it an easy target for any strong special sweeper. So I suggest you use the set the above poster mentioned. That set pretty much punches holes in your opponent's team and is arguably one of the best Aegislash sets around (or even the best Aegislash set around). You can switch around the Atk and HP EVs with 0 Speed IVs if you'd rather have a "bulkier" Aegislash that can OHKO your opponent's Aegislash by letting it move first and go for the kill after it turns into Blade forme or even just leave 88 Atk EVs and 12 Speed EVs with a Mild Nature so you can outpace min Speed Tyranitar and OHKO with Sacred sword. It's up to you really.
  • Again as the above poster mentioned, Defog on Latias will help you a lot. You have 3 pokemon who are weak to Stealth Rock and one of them is even sashed! Hazards should be dealth with, else your team won't survive that long. You can't just rely on Magic Coat to do the job for you, since your opponent could just switch out, get rid of your Latias and set Stealth Rocks again. You could replace Psyshock for Defog , since Psyshock is barely of any use, and Mega Pinsir will almost always take care of anything that Psyshock hits for Super-Effective damage in OU as well as taking care of anything Latias can't deal with. Also Run 0 Atk IVs so surprise Foul Plays hurt less.
So this is my 2 cents. Sorry for posting a huge wall of text .-.
Good Luck and have a nice day!

Thanks for the replies, changes made to the team, and that Defog tip really helped! Switched Rhyperior (sadly he needed to go) for that Terrakion set and it's pretty effective! Those changes to Aegislash also made him like fifty times more effective too! Hell, most of these changes were applied!

19-Kilo (Deoxys-Defense) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Hp / 132 SDef / 124 Def
Impish Nature
- Toxic
- Knock Off
- Recover
- Magic Coat

Toxic and recover with its insane defense just makes it very annoying. On the added bonus, Knock off is there to add more annoyance.

74-Delta (Venusaur) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SpA
Impish Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Sleep Powder
- Giga Drain

Swords dance and sunny day serves hardly any purpose on a defensive Venusuar. Sludge bomb and giga drain is there for extra STAB coverage and sleep power is just for you know. You can change sleep powder to leech seed if you want, its still fine.

Overall, this team is fairly weak to SR, so you might want to add a spinner/defogger. So you might want to remove deoxy-d/togekiss for mandibuzz.

I debated the knock off option, but instead went with a Mandibuzz over Togekiss with Dark Pulse so I kept Drain Punch for coverage. decided I had enough ghost/psychic coverage.

With your mandibuzz set, its better if you run it with foul play and knock off over the attacks you currently have. Mandibuzz can take physical hits really well and can deal alot of damage back with foul play (of physical attackers)
The team is looking good.

Okay, switched out KB for SD Garchomp. Stealth rocks were still running through my team pretty hard, so had to limit my SR weakness and got Garchomp instead because I also needed a counter for fire types that could dish out a lot of damage. Went SD to keep the Speed stat.
