ORAS OU RMT Gliscor Chansey Core

Honestly my first worry with Gliscor and Chansey was the Nonbo of Aromatherapy and Gliscor's Toxic Heal but they haven't really been interfering with each other at all that I'm seeing.

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Aromatherapy
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss

Basic Chansey Stall wall with Seismic toss to speed up the clock on any setters if needed or when you come across the immune steel or poison types. The aromatherapy has been fine as long as I use it once Gliscor has outlived his usefullness. She and Gliscor have definitely been the MVPs of this team so far.

Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- SolarBeam
- Focus Blast
- Flamethrower
- Dragon Pulse

Pretty basic Special sweeper. Not running a rapid spinner has caused some issues but not enough to warrant changing the team specifically for a rapid spinner. Solar beam is the most often used move in the set with Flamethrower being a close second. Pulse and Blast occassionally. Is my go-to sweeper and does great work for my offense.

Garchomp @ Choice Band
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Stone Edge

I love the Iron Head on Chomp. Hits the faerie types hard and OHKO's or sets them up for a revenge kill. Not really any issues other than being stuck in an outrage with no ability to switch after a KO sometimes sucks but the extra damage is worth it. Thought about switching the Band for an Orb but still testing the relevance of .2% power.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 4 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Protect
- Knock Off
- Roost
- Taunt

Taunt hasn't really been doing too much. The only time I'm using it is preventing a set up sweeper like volcarona and generally I just switch to the chomp and OHKO it. Thought about switching for Acrobatics. Another option is putting a toxic so I have a secondary stall wall. Due to chomp and zard I'm not too worried about the Steel or Poison types.

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch

Magnezone has been pretty usefull for scout purposes though I feel like I might just switch to scarfed Rotom-W. The biggest thing is his ability to put down faerie types as that is the most common weakness among my mons. I might be able to find another decent poke to drop faeries but then I need to find a volt switcher or U-turner. Thinking about Scizor.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Poison Jab

Again, not the best performance but I'm having a hard time finding something to take his spot. The ice punch has been invaluable as well as mach punch being my only priority move has nabbed me some revenge KO's on weakened pokes. I have an idea that I want to replace him but not sure what with.

Both the Conkeldurr and the Magnezone have come through in a few situations but I honestly haven't been over excited to have either on my team in any matches so far.

Hey man cool team!

I went into depth with your team and found some potentially minor/major flaws. The few that stood out to me a lot include:

  • No Stealth Rocker
  • No Defogger
First off, CM Landorus-I can plow right through this team.

also you have a mon that is 4x weak to rocks (Charizard-Y) and you have no spinner/defogger.

I would recommend adding a Latias, it is somewhat of a last ditch effort or possibly even a Lando-I check with no Sludge Wave, and it's also a defogger as well. Your team is very reliant on a defogger and it also gives you a Sub CM Keldeo counter.

Now onto the sets. I know how much you love Garchomp and With that choice band it hits extra hard, but you need a Stealth Rock Setter and Bulky HelmetChomp is very fun and helpful to use, so try this set:

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 76 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Fire Blast

Earthquake is Garchomp's main STAB move because it gets good neutral coverage and hits decently hard. Dragon Tail phazes opposing mons out and racks up entry hazard damage. Fire Blast hits the Steel-types that take little from Earthquake, such as Skarmory, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn. Rest is also an option to increase Garchomp's longevity and make more use of its ability to rack up chip damage with Rough Skin and Rocky Helmet. The EV spread gives Garchomp the Special Defense needed to survive powerful hits from Pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y, Landorus, Gengar, Keldeo, and Mega Diancie, while still retaining the optimum amount of physical bulk. The Speed EVs enable Garchomp to outspeed neutral-natured base 70 Speed Pokemon such as Bisharp and Breloom, as well as Jolly Tyranitar. However, an alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 Spe can be used to outspeed Jolly Bisharp, which is critical against Swords Dance variants, as a +2 Sucker Punch will never OHKO Garchomp, which KOes it back with Earthquake. You do have conk which is a good bisharp check, so that might not be necessary.

On to your conk, I love the fact that you have a lure conk which baits in Fairies and can ohko with the right spread. Since you are using a lure conk I would recommend using life orb > assault vest. As it gives you much more power and can 2HKO a max HP/Def Clefable on the switch-in:

252+ Atk Life Orb Conkeldurr Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 231-273 (58.6 - 69.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

So try using this set:

Conkeldurr @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
- Mach Punch
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Poison Jab

This set is an all around better choice for your conk set, at it help a lot more with better dealing with certain mons.

A couple more things and that will wrap up my rate:

  • Fire Blast > Flamethrower on Charizard-Y
  • Earthquake > Protect on Gliscor

Also, you are missing over 150 EVs on Gliscor, is there any specific reasoning for that? Here, Try this Gliscor Set:

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 192 SpD / 72 Spe
Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Knock Off
- Earthquake

Using 244 HP EVs makes Gliscor's HP stat divisible by 8, maximizing the efficiency of Poison Heal. 72 Speed EVs allow Gliscor to outspeed everything up to and including Jolly Tyranitar, while the rest of the EVs and a Careful nature make Gliscor as specially bulky as possible.

that's all for my Team Rate! Good luck with the team.

Hope I helped :]

How do you feel about Scizor > Magnezone? I've been testing it and it's been doing fairly well. Also I'm afraid of misses with Fire Blast is my only issue.
