Hi, I'm just playing around with a few ideas for teams and testing Pokemons. I prefer to use Pokemon I like more and for strategies instead of just the usual OU/OP Pokes.
I tend to do Double Battles more and build teams best suited towards these strategies. I currently looking for a Pokemon to replace Clawitzer as I feel I'm lacking in a Utility Support - maybe one that has synergy with Charizard Y's Drought. So onto my team:
Froslass @ Focus Sash (Lead & Support)
Ability: Snow Cloak
Nature: Jolly
-Frost Breath
-Thunder Wave
-Taunt
-Destiny Bond
My main lead alongside Tauros. The idea is for Frolass to Frost Breath Tauros, with the guaranteed Crit, activating Tauros's Anger Point and then for Tauros to come in like a wrecking ball. After that, she is mainly used as a T-Wave Support and a final swan song of Destiny Bond to try and take out her murderer. Good for Dragon Revenger Killer also.
Tauros @ Life Orb
Ability: Anger Point
Nature: Jolly
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Zen Headbutt
- Pursuit
Alongside Frolass, nothing much outspeeds this duo and once Tauros gets mad a Frolass, the opponents opening Pokemon usually fall to this max attacked bull. Stuck with the Life Orb over Choice item to keep the variety of moves & predict a switch with Pursuit. The only trouble with this setup as a lead is that if anything goes wrong (eg. fake out lead, Frolass destroyed with a priorty move) then it usually falls apart and is hard to recover. Also a good revenge killer.
Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Modest
- Protect
- SolarBeam
- Heat Wave
- Air Slash
Standard MegaZard Y - Boosts itself with Drought and begins its Trigger Happy spamming of Heat Wave. My 2nd choice of lead alongside Talonflame if I feel like Frolass + Tauros won't fair very well against the opposing team.
Talonflame @ Lum Berry
Ability: Gale Wings
Nature: Adamant
- Tailwind
- U-turn
- Flare Blitz
- Brave Bird
Talonflame lead alongside Charizard. Used to set up a Tailwind first turn and then attempt to sweep along side MegaZard Y. Lum Berry is there for and pesky support Pokemon who want to try and cripple him and U-turn for when things might look like there getting messy.
Swalot @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
Nature: Careful
- Stockpile
- Toxic
- Ice Beam
- Rest/Protect
Now onto my favourite Pokemon of all time - Swalot! And surprising, has saved me and outstalled many a team (which even I wasn't expecting greatness from him). With some good dynamic play and predicting when to Stockpile + Toxic, can beat many a Pokemon into submission. Ice Beam as not to be walled by steels and unsure about Rest or Protect. Atm it's Protect becaue of Clawitzer's medic abilities but willl likely change it to Rest if I change him.
Clawitzer @ Leftovers
Ability: MegaLauncher
Nature: Sassy
- Water Pulse
- Aura Sphere
- Dragon Pulse
- Heal Pulse
I wanted him mainly for the 75% healing capacity of his Mega Launcher boosted Heal Pulses and for good special coverage. However, n most battles I find him to be frail and by the time he has healed his teammate its usually goodnight for him, thus aking his coverage rather ineffective. So I'm mainly looking to replace him with utility support/coverage Pokemon.
And suggestions people have to improve my team would be grateful - and please don't bash my beloved Swalot :(
